- Baseball Pitchers Target | 9 Pocket pitching net.
This is a DIY pitchers net used to practice your pitching.
I Built this for my son. We needed a target to pitch into. We did not want to pay $300 so I built one.
This 9 pocket target is good for any age that is working on pitching accuracy. You can also play target games like tic tac toe with a baseball, commonly called tic tac throw. We will use this in our basement this winter.
This is made with scrap 2x4s some extra net and PVC pipe. Instructions are in the video. This only cost about $20. The PVC pipe is all I had to purchase. If you had to buy all materials it would run around $75-100. This was a much better option for us. If we can save on items like this it allows us more funds to purchase baseballs, bats etc.
Please watch the whole video and feel free to leave feedback.

Sir, I do not know you, but God Bless You!!! You are going to make me look like the best dad ever
We were not going to pay $300 for the one online 😁
For real 200-300$ for one of these online is insane
Use bungee cords to divide the 9 boxes. Over time, the ball is going to break that PVC.
We are a travel team on a low budget and I knew someone out there besides myself who think 300$ to buy something like is a ripoff! I can build this with 36$ in wood and screws!!! Great Video!
Thank you

Did the pvc hold up from the baseballs banging on it ?
Yes it did. next time I would go with smaller PVC though. It works but a little smaller may of been better. I think bungee cords would of worked even.
This is a nice solid build. A good tip though....Use bungee cord to seperate the pocket, or something similar.
Awesome, I have been thingking to build something like this 3 weeks ago for my son practice, the only change is I like to be able to fold the legs to be able to take it anywhere.
Thanks for sharing, you are a Good Dad
Use door or cabinet hinges on the parts you want to fold
Love the idea I just think 55 mph alls being thrown over and over will require much fixing.
You could also get some pool noodles to cover the pvc pipes if you think they’re gonna break
My son would bust that PVC PIPe up in 2 pitches
Great job thank you for posting.
Thanks
Could use a wood fowrl instead of the pvc pipe
Awesome job ⚾️👊🏼
Thank you
What are measurements for pvc holes
Nice build tho , Bungee cords or role for sure next time tho
Yes bungee cords!
How does the PVC hold up will it not crack?
It hasn’t so far, we will see as it gets used over time.
What kind of netting did you use?
I was fortunate to have a large net we could cut a piece out of to use.
Pretty sure that pipe would bust or does it hold
It has held. It doesn’t get a ton of usage yet. Bungee cord may work better in the long run
Where did u get the netting ?
It was some used pieces we got from a local college baseball team. You could get this to attach to frame. FORTRESS Baseball/Softball Pitching Net Target | Baseball Training Equipment | Pitching Practice - Accuracy Training | 9 Pocket Strike Zone [Target ONLY] a.co/d/2FDxWyn
What’s the measurements for the pvc holes? This is awesome!
Thanks. If I were to do it over again..we would use Bungee cords. I will get that measurement sometime if still needed
@@Case.Baseballokay! I’ll look into the bungee cords. Thanks!
what net did you use?
We had an old net we had gotten used from a local college baseball team. We cut a section out of it.
Use rope or bungee cords instead of PVC....great job building your own!
Thanks. We will try that
I'm trying to figure out something like this for my son. He's 14 I'm sure that PVC will be smashed to bits in one session. The net wouldn't stay on with being stapled on there. The official ones are so expensive though.
I agree not the most ideal to last forever. My boy is 11 and does not throw that hard yet… nor do we pitch everyday. His main position is infield/ outfield. When it breaks I think we can change it to some bungee cords or something. I have also zip tied the netting and used an air compressor staple gun. My hope was to give an idea of making something at little cost that could be altered as needed. I am sure the $400 one has some flaws as well. Thanks for leaving feed back. Much appreciated 🙂
@@Case.Baseball I'm thinking the wood frame would work, but I'm going to try to use steel cables for the cross members. I still don't know how I would keep the netting from blowing apart.
@@exemjazhuel3428 yes! why didn’t we think of that 🤦🏻♂️ … exactly why I like posting stuff on here for the great comments comments
@@Case.Baseball you are welcome bro and thanx to you for share this kind of tools for helping our kids to improve 💪💪
@@Case.Baseball by the way bro instead of the pvc pipes you can use the galvanized steel pipes is a little bit more expensive but make it more durable
Could you give a materials and cut list please?
The video list out some on the screen during the video. I will try to measure sometime and give an actual list
Thank you. No way i'm paying 300 for junk. Have what i need to make this.
Have fun with your project, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment
