  • Max Verstappen completely dominated the opening race of the season in Bahrain. Once again F1 fans find themselves frustrated at what is looking to be another season of dominance by Red Bull and Max Verstappen. But is this anything new? F1 is a sport of era's and it's more logical to be
    disappointed at the teams who fail to be competitive and mount a challenge. But what really makes F1 fans angry at Verstappen and Red Bull? Enjoy!

    The main reason it took RB so long to catch Merc for all those years was the PU. Their aero was on point. Just took them getting the power to eventually catch them

      Came here to say exactly this. People are only now realising RB has been the best F1 team for 15 years now. It's just that dreadful Renault engine that kept them back during Merc dominance era.

    FIA : DRS after lap 1 to make more fighting for position
    Max : +1s ahead of Leclerc in Lap 2
    Yeah, pretty much sums up the 2024 season

      Max had a total of three push laps, 1-2 to create the managable gap and lap 55 for fastest lap. Max cruises to titles 4 and 5 and if they get it right for the new evolution of engines/chassis in 26 could easily see out first 8 title winning driver. It was over before it started since there are no meaningful rule changes in 24/25

    to be fair i dont feel the why didnt anyone catch up to mercedes, like we know why its because they had a 700million dollar yearly budget but now that everyone have the samde budget and RB even having far less windtunnel time i feel like the other teams arent doing remotely enough, simply not good enough

      I don’t think it was 700 million, and don’t forget the other top teams were spending just as much and sometimes even more from 2014 to 2020… the narrative that Mercedes were spending sooo much more than everyone else doesn’t really make sense..

      I agree 100%. The other thing is Red Bull dealt with Renault engines being completely awful for years. Between being down on power or blowing up, their aero wasn’t able to be really used

      The new rules actually prevent teams from fixing their car. If you nail the concept at the start of the regulation you are set. If you don’t, the cost cap and the engine freeze prevent you from developing the car to catch up.

      @@vincenzomazzella9080 I half agree on this. But this year, Red Bull have redesigned their concept almost entirely since last year and they're still dominant. It's not like they just took their RB19 and added onto it. So I see no reason why no other team can design a competitive car while Red Bull can design 2 monsters in a row.

      F1 is to blame for these shit regulations. Why the fuck is there an engine freeze multiple years before the regs even change?
      Alpine are backmarkers because they can't address their engine limitation, and Merc can't use their advanced suspension.
      This entire regulation cycle was tailor-made to pander to Adrian Newey, and it's gonna cost the idiots at Liberty Media billions of dollars, as people quit watching en-masse.

    People should also give credit to max. He's simply untouchable. I don't think anyone can really challenge him even if someone else was in checos car. The car would need to be much better than the rb for max to lose. And even if max has a slower car he will finish 2nd in every race and still win because of his consistency. I've never seen someone so dominant, never having a day off, always being the best

    Red Bull have given him a rocketship once again.
    But he also deserves respect for not really having bad days or making mistakes.
    He's just so consistently performing at the best of his ability, and getting more out of the car than his teammate can.
    Obviously none of this would be happening if Max didn't have the best car, but I'm also not sure any other driver would display the same speed and consistency in that car.

      @@jamarij5814this. Verstappen’s dominance is impressive, but he never has to fight for the win. Sometimes at the start of lap 1 he might have to defend, but then he just takes off and is just driving around the track for the entire race like he’s on a nice Sunday stroll. If he actually had to fight for the win it would be more exciting for sure

      Mercedes domination wasn't Mercedes and Hamilton winning every single race. Which is basically what this is. I keep seeing people pointing at Mercedes or Senna/Mclaren or Schumacher. The difference is you either had 2 teammates fighting each other for the championship or you had another team who were at least able to challenge for a large part of the season. You also had poorer reliability so even dominant cars could lose races due to malfunctions. This season and the last has none of the above so stop saying its just like those other times, because it's not

    if you want competition go watch F2 or F3. We are watching a living legend in action when we see Max drive. He is just to good. You need to respect and appreciate the kind of level Max shows on track, even if you are not a fan of him. He is just the best right now.

      Bullshit. Max is a great driver, probably the best in F1, but he's dominating because the car is dominant. You think a shit driver like Perez finishes P2 in the championship on merit?
      Swap him and Lewis, and the situations would be almost identical. Lewis wins almost every race, and Max struggles to get a podium.

    The difference between this era and the Merc era and why RB has been so completely dominant is that despite Merc’s cat having a bigger margin from the field, Max is Max and Lewis isn’t Max, so opportunities to catch Max slacking off or not driving to full potential isn’t there like it was with Lewis.

      You just upset CultLH. Max doesn't have an off week the car did in Singapore but if you look at 2023 the biggest mistake that Max made was bumping into the wall when exiting the garage in Silverstone.

Before 22 he on occasion made mistakes when he was under pressure or fighting hard against someone. I know CultMV fans hate to hear it but Max is just another great driver in a great car. He's not the second coming of Jesus.

    I think people underestimate how good the 2023 season was due to the fact that Max and Red Bull won so many races. And while yes, it's more exciting when there's a chance of someone else actually winning a race, there were so many great moments despite Max being so far ahead. I think it also helps that the RB19 wasn't miles ahead solely due to engine power like how Mercedes dominated. The majority of the field were quite closely packed together and in-season development reduced some gaps and made the fight for points very interesting. Considering how dominant Max was, I think it was actually one of the best seasons in recent memory.
    And of course, you have to give credit to Max for taking a great car and delivering a level of consistency that I honestly don't think we've ever seen from any F1 driver ever. Seriously, if you can think of another driver that was so consistent over the course of a single season, please let me know.
    My only real complaint about the 2023 season (aside from many moments of terrible broadcast direction) is that I think it could have been even more enjoyable had there been a touch more unreliability in the cars. It's never fun to see your driver at the front suffer a sudden catastrophic setback, but such curveballs make the races themselves, and the season as a whole, more interesting.

      Great car + great driver = RB currently
      There are quite a low of great drivers currently that could even beat out max, but are driving noncompetitive cars right now, and that's the current stare right now in my opinion.

      Right now at age 26 he is the best driver, no matter who his team mate is. Eventually that will pass as well, and a new driver takes over his spot.

      Exactly. If we're lucky, we might get a season like 2021 every 5-10 years. What skews the perception of some is also, in my opinion, the fact that Lewis is usually portrayed by the media as a saint and Max is often the exact opposite. Max's personality is very polarising.

      @@greatBLT Because Nico had the same car as Lewis. After Nico retired, Mercedes decided to bring in a clear number 2 with Bottas. And the championships in which Seb was able to fight a bit were always decided early because Ferrari ran out of steam halfway through the season at the latest. So the end result was actually the same...

      “All those resources” doesn’t actually apply under the cost cap though. We’re seeing one downside to the cost cap. If you don’t get the regs right immediately it’s hard to catch up. Red Bull was the only team to nail it in 2022, that put them VERY far ahead and the cost cap makes it hard to catch up let alone KEEP up

    why did it take 2021 for someone like redbull to take the fight to Mercedes? no, they were always ready to take the fight to them right from the get go, but both Mercedes and Ferrari refused to give them a competitive engine. On equal engine power and reliability, my money is on Redbull to win. Everyone's refusal to help redbull caused them to go with Honda, which worked out pretty well, even tho it took a longer time to get to

      ​@@anne29030 Dont know what championships you watched but in 2014 and 2016 I saw the drivers championship decided in the last race of the season. In 2017 and 2018 I saw championships where Ferrari where leading for half the season.

    Red Bull didn't even look that dominant. The best car at the moment for sure but Carlos could easily keep up with Checo on a Red Bull track. It's not Red Bull that is dominant, it's only Max.

      They can't nerf RB without doing it even worse to others. That is because RB relies on solid engineering giving them an all-round good car, as opposed to merc who had to rely on gimmicks that are easily banned.

    The difference with other dominant periods is Max making no mistakes and not having off days.
    Give him an equal or better car and he will win if no mechanical failures or getting torpedoed.

    I know a lot of RB fans who aren’t liking this, not only there no emotion watching those boring races, Verstappen is so far ahead that its fans can’t even see it on the TV during the whole race other than at the start and crossing the finish line. How ironic.

    Remember at the end of 2021, when people said Max is a great driver and will be one of the all time greats, people quickly shut it down, saying how he only had a handful of wins and 1 championship, and that it will be a long time before he in the conversation. 2 years later, he's already got 55 wins, and potentially could catch up to Schumacher by the end of next year.

      @@rubenpapa100Uhm, Schumacher drove some equally dominant cars. I'm not 100% sure which season it was, (I think 2003) but he finished every race on the podium. In 2004 the Ferrari was so fast even the team was confused. And Hamilton? Great driver but he also drove some crazy dominant cars. I mean the only reason Mercedes didn't win every race 2014-16 was down to strategic mistakes, the car itself was simply untouchable. Max has no competition from his teammate which makes it more boring than Mercedes dominance. It's impossible to become on of the statistically "all time greats" in F1 without a crazy fast car.

    Max put new softs on, instantly does fastest lap, then Proceeds to pull away from everyone else at a staggering pace for 20 laps, without using his true pace, or even damaging the tires….. rb20 is a lot faster than we realize.
    Also, during the Mercedes dominant era, it was a lot harder to catch up because of the insane amount of money merc were spending, compared to everyone else…. Now with the budget cap and wind tunnel %, we can see all the teams are closing the gap. Everyone besides redbull is very close.

    Yesterday tells us that this year is going to be a lot like last year. Interesting racing for all positions but first. And being able to Marvel at one of the all-time greats at his peak.
    I get where some see this as dull. I don’t; I am going to enjoy watching Max in his glory.
    And I am neither a Max, nor a Red Bull fan.

    Eras of dominance naturally come in cycles - whenever there is a reset of rules, one team nails it and if that team has a driver clearly capable of gaining multiple wins, you get a dominance,it's just how it goes.
    BUT, the reason max/rb dominance feels especially irritating for non max/rb fans is the media agenda that praises the max/RB combo as supernatural/god given/prophetic/normal/natural/premonitory. The dude is doing his job,given the rocketship he has been granted paired with his taleny, but the fanbase and the media is hyperinflating it to the point where it's clearly artificial and synthetic.
    When 2026 comes and some other team nails it, that dominance will get annoying aswell, but i am pretty sure it won't be this...forcefed,for a lack of a better term.

    The next 2021 could be as early as 2026. 😬And the Mercedes dominance was a pure engine power. Red bull aero is always on point but that Renault hybrid engine was just messed up. Ferrari will always find a way to screw it up.

    RedBull didn't have the PU to compete with Merc for a long time and Merc et al refused to sell them a PU for that very reason. No team wants to give up their advantages.
    F1 will always be about who innovates and maintains a performance lead. Then factors like who drives for your team will make s big difference. I think we can all appreciate the fact that if there were 2 Sergio Perez at RB then all of the championships would have been 2021 closer.

    Red Bull's success is the result of all the things working out greatly: the driver/s (Max is really great showing that he's refining his racing craft, Checo is inconsistent but really has a good tire management and defense), the power unit, Newey's genius, the pit crew, the calls and strategy from Hannah and their race engineers. Mercedes is the same in their prime: Lewis and Valtteri having a phenomenal 1-2 finish, the W11 still being a rocket.. and a stable one at that, Allison's wits, the pit crew, the calls and strategy of their own, and also Toto's strength to hold that team together for so many years. People need to accept that there will always be dominance when a team gets it right, Ferrari looks strong in quali and even Charles had the chance on Bahrain if not for his shitty lockups on braking, along with Russell having a superb race but suffering from battery problems. Also during Qualifying, the gap is ~1.3 seconds, far better than before, meaning even Haas, Sauber, and Williams are indeed catching up due to the cost cap.. it's just a matter of REALLY getting things right.
    Personally I love Red Bull's dominance and Max as a driver, but I also want some competition down the line, heck I even want Alex Albon to win at least 1-3 GP. I also want Lewis to win, every driver to do the same as they all deserve at least 1-2 wins in their career. But it's up to the other teams to figure out how to challenge the current World Drivers' and Constructors' title defender, and we may see that in 2026 when the regulations change again.
    Also for non Max fans, just don't look at his name when he's dominating and I guarantee you, the other drivers' battles and racing are a sight to behold.

    The reason why we as "fans" are hating the current red bull is because we are told to hate it. Sky sports propaganda been strong for years now, strong Brit driver bias and especially Hamilton. The Lewis is winning, it's sir Lewis breaking records, when it's max, it's all Adrian neweys success and gigabrain. Vettel was tarnished for years by the broadcast, only for fans to organically come around to him when the hate was redirected somewhere else.

    For me and probably most of the people (i guess) its not that Max Verstappen dominates, but how he dominates. In other eras surely there was a dominating team, but they were also some other teams that got wins.

      But do you guys remember Lewis Hamilton completed a race on 3 wheels in Silverstone that was also a dominant performance no discredit to him but that was what happened before Max dominated and don't get me wrong Merc put out an amazing PU and great chassis and aero in hands of Lewis who was really at his peak and drove with extremely high precision but I think this time RB have also nailed it all chassis aero and the Honda's engine with a guy who is willing to drive a car to the top of the step even if it is snappy or to say he prefers a car that oversteers like crazy making his teammate also look not that competitive.

    honestly they could’ve put Max in other car, even the less competitive one, I think Max would still be able to score point with that. A lot of drivers have good raw pace, but Max has amazing consistency. He puts fastest and fastest and fastest lap every lap. It’s just effortless for him

      yep, at one point GP his engineer told him the pace was good, to which max replied with "you want more pace?!" and i was like 🤯 so even with this huge gap, he is nothing giving it all.

    I am watching F1 since 1990, even in the days of Williams and McLaren dominance in the 90s and with Ferrari dominance in the zeros there were times that two or three teams could win some races. The last proper season with multiple winners were the 2010 and 2012 seasons both in both of those seasons were taken to the wire with more than two drivers able to win the championship.

    I always remember the Ferrari/ Schumacher years together where the basically dominated to the point he was winning the championship with races to spare.
    You get these periods of a single team dominating the sport. Merc dominated the hybrid years from basically 2014 till 2021, as they got the best out of the engine rules compared to other engine builders. This time Red Bull have been able to get the leap on the new ground effect rules of the cars, and everyone is still trying to play catch up as the engine manufactures can't help out and make more powerful engines to compensate.

    i doubt dominance will ever disappear, especially with the pack getting tighter and cars getting more reliable. The difference is that team dominance shifts more to driver dominance rather than bits of both. If all cars are pretty much equal or close and don't dnf on their own, the best driver on the grid (as long as they are consistent) will dominate regardless.

    Honestly, because of Twitter I'd be completely okay if we don't get another 2021, at least not for a little while. As intriguing as that title fight was, 2021 was comfortably the worst season I ever seen in terms of sheer toxicity (and I remember thinking 2016 was bad). It brought out the worst in everybody involved, both in the paddock and online, and I think the increase in fans due to DTS only emphasised that. I'm not saying I want to see just one team or driver winning forever, far from it, but I just don't think another 2021 is what anyone needs, certainly if the ending is anything to go by.

    Of course people can be frustrated with how one team/driver can be winning all the time while everyone else is having a difficult time with catching up. But as we know from the F1 history, this particular form of racing is all about who can cook up the best car. I mean there’s a reason what the “Formula” in Formula One is supposed to mean.
    But luckily for race fans, they’re plenty of other forms of Motorsport that isn’t Formula One.
    Take the World Endurance Championship for example, lately it’s starting to pick up some traction. Especially since that now in 2024 they have a whole diverse roster of cars and drivers! Sure endurance racing is by its nature long and at times boring. BUT it’s much more unpredictable compared with F1.

    The only difference between the dominace periods of Mercedes and Lewis and Red Bull with Max is that during Lewis his period, he never was this consistent during a hole season.. Even when his car had at least 50 hp more the their direct opponents, still Ferrari with Vettel or Max and Ricciardo and Lewis his own teammates were abble to win some races because Lewis him self was never this consistent especially at the begin of the seasons. And now Red Bull have the complete package with Honda and one of the best technical ingineering department and tactical team, pitstop crew and of course Max for who is just winning not enough, but he wants to approache perfection and domination during a race weekend.. Because he knows the feeling during his first couple of years in F1, when his team and him self did try for them selfs everyting in their power to fight for the championship, but there was an unfair advantage between the teams.. And of course in F1 there always will be teams dominating just like Red Bull right now.. But aleast all the teams started from scrats before the new regulation change last year with the same oppertunities..

    DRS is a big down for me too. It's now far too easy to overtake, there are almost no lengthy battles. Even when Verstappen qualifies 10th you still know he's going to just blast past everyone down the straights. The modern reliability levels don't help either. Nobody hardly ever breaks down meaning the same car wins every week. I've watched every single GP live since 1985 and seriously now considering dropping my subscription to sky and just watching the highlights.

    I listened to the race on RUclips while at work, then watched it when I got home from work.
    There seemed to be a lot going on in this race. The Ferrari's fighting, LeClerc having Issues. The Williams drivers having their issues, LS was possibly going to get a decent result(top 15) until his steering wheel decided it didn't to participate. We got a few solid switcheroo's.
    This was a pretty interesting race if you look at it ss a whole and just accept the battle for #2 is what you're watching. If Ferrari put Sainz on Mediums or softs, he's fighting Checo at the end. Not sure how Mediums we're working, I dont recall seeing anything other than softs or hards.
    By the way Danny Ric just established he's not Redbull material, those days are over. He couldn't pass Tsunoda on softs. Loved his little entitled radio comment about it. That was great. All while Yuki was actually sizing up K Mag for an overtake.
    So, maybe we can all get excited about Max setting records for wins, laps, grand slams, whatever. Im here for it.
    Toto's disgusted, defeated and exhausted look was a thing of beauty. Completely exasperated at having what looks like the 4th fastest car and being in a solid fight for 3rd between Aston and McLaren.
    How are these csrs havimg cooling issues when it was 65 degrees air temp and 75 degrees track temp. That seems almost ideal for cooling Maybe not so for the tires.

    F1 has more fans now than the Mercedes era for sure, so has more voices. But f1 is straight up more boring now.
    2014 to 2016 Merc were arguably as dominant if not even more than Max is now. But at least we had teammate battles in Lewis vs Nico, whereas Checo cant even get within half a second of Max in a single lap.
    2017 to 2020, whilst Merc were on balance the quickest and Lewis domainated a lot, he wasnt winning races like Max is. Plus there were at least five races a year (esp in 17 and 18) where mercedes didnt have the fastest car. Bottas didnt exactly challenge Lewis too much but at least could match him over a single lap, whereas as mentioned Checo is so far behind Max.
    The Merc years werent the most thrilling, but 1000% better than now

    icl the cost cap isn’t great at the moment - I saw someone say that it’s not like Merc or Mclaren or Aston or Ferrari can overspend to catch up it’s ’an advantage locked in for years’ (pardon the meme reference) and Red Bull are just such a well oiled machine they don’t make pit stop errors, they rarely make strategy errors

    Max is just a better driver than most people who have been in a dominant car. He is better than Seb. He is better than DeLulu. He is at least as technically good as the Michael, but may actually be better. He is probably as good as Senna. He is better than Prost. He would destroy anyone in F1 from before the era of personal trainers and sports medicine.
    And then they put him in *that* car.

    He kept the lead most of the race above 10+ sec gap.
    Fourth is in the bag for Max this year unless the RB is unreliable.

    Like mentioned in the video(4:45), it's a Constructors thing. Personally(opinion incoming) I think the problem is the restrictive Budget Cap regs. Instead of a sliding scale ATR it should be a full Budget allowance thing. The lowest constructor has the biggest percentage of their total budget they can invest past the Cap to improve and it slides down to the winning Constructor. To make it fair, that same percentage used to improve is deducted from the prize money payout and given to teams who remained within the Cap. That way if a problem goes beyond aero(where ATR is useless) then its fixable so teams have better chance of being competitive.

      Case in point are Alpine, Mercedes & Williams. Their issues have gone beyond aero with an engine deficit, a chassis issue and out-of-date development facilities respectively. A wind tunnel won't fix those but strategic funding can. RBR also had significantly less ATR last year & they just avoided the wind tunnel all together and it didn't have any effect at all on the RB20 which goes to show ATR is useless in terms of determining the competitive order.

    I’m just hoping this Horner scenario throws the driver lineup into disarray. The RB is the best car on the grid, but it’s only been shown to be so ridiculously dominant when Max is in the car. If he went to Mercedes, for example, I genuinely think we’d have a title fight on our hands, especially if someone alright gets into the RB. I’ve already written off 2024, but I have high hopes for 2025, and there might just be enough off track drama to get us to that first race next year in one piece.

    Not angry at max or Red Bull but this sport can’t be called "pinnacle of engineering excellence" or "innovative" when teams can’t even build a car to compete with RB at certain circuits and actually beat them.
    These engineers need constant regulation changes to make everything start at zero and there’s no one that can actually catch RB in season. People always hoping for "winter development" as if that’s better.
    I’m just angry at these engineers, TPs, and other key staff within these teams. When will the heat actually be put to them?
    At least RB in their own history actually built cars to compete and win races at specific circuits that suited them. I don’t know if this cost cap thing is working because it seems like these teams need unlimited resources in order to catch the dominant team in season.
    I remember the 2009 McLaren being a backmarker when Lewis was there and then mid season because of their resources became a top team again. Yes McLaren just showed it in 23 but it’s rare.

    Considering Red Bull is probably toning down the engine similar to Merc at the beginning of the hybrid era not to look too ridiculously ahead, I'm afraid there are not many rules FIA could change to stop them.
    Unless they introduce some penalty system to punish the frontrunner, any technical rule change would be easily tackled by Newey in no time

    Its only race 1 out of 24. Yes he was very dominant in the FIRST race. But this season is very long. Anything can happen. You never know, I think its to early to make these claims. I think you can say this maybe after like 10 races. If he wins the next 10 races yeah you can say this but its to soon to say it now. Also you dont know how teams will upgrade and catch up during the season. Also if we are lucky we will have some crazy rain races, or weird qualies where the field is mixed up.

      Hamilton is getting old. Alonso is old. Who will challenge Verstappen? Leclerc? Russel? Norris? Sainz? No way. They make no difference. Verstappen would beat them in their cars. And they all have zero personality. Point is, all these guys are second tier drivers parading as the first tier.

      Most people forget that last year had loads of crazy raves and most rain quali's and races ever, yet one man overcame all these obstacles. But I do agree, you never know. For all we know he could caught in a 1st corner crash and get injured.

    The difference between Max dominance and previous eras is you either had 2 drivers in the same dominant team fighting each other for the championship and going back to the Schumacher era you had cars that were less reliable so even dominant teams could lose races due to reliability issues

    I am following F1 for the fact that Engineers can with the season before a tire I turned. But I have never just followed a single racing franchise. I show up to F1 for great cars, I show up to WRC, IMSA, Super GT, and various other spec/BOP series for the racing.

    The cost cap is primarily preventing teams like merc and ferrari to make massive radical changes mid season. They start a season with a philosophy and the cost cap forces them to stick with it.
    To be honest i don't expect teams to make another radical change for 2025 with the 2026 looming.
    As a Max fan I want him to go wheel to wheel with other drivers fighting for the win. Him driving off and gap Leclerc 1s in just the first lap is just not fun.
    I really watch the race for about 10 laps and then went back to gardening... Watch the rest of the race between breaks.. And i am sure i was not the only one that did that.

    aero is visible and easier to copy then PU which is hidden. Merc dominance was far worse. RB20 had to not be conservative to stay in front where as Merc had no competition until Ferrari cheated and Honda spent a few years to catch up. Even then, it needed a engine freeze for others to catch parity.

    There is competition. Outside 1st place. It's up to you to watch it. Since 2000 there's only been dominant steaks except for 2005-2009. It's just the nature of the beast unless there's been a major shift of rules and the cost cap.The engine streak of mecr was done to lower cost for engine suppliers but throughout all of F1 history it's been the tail of 1 engine dominating for the most part. 1st SF, then DFV, Honda, Renault, SF again, then AMG. A dominant engine will always push better than average aero but not the other way around. Just look at RBR from 2014-2020. This day in age it's all about aero or is it? HRC seems to have it and RBR has Newey. It's just lethal. Once a team gets ahaid after a major rules change they can more easily stay ahaid and more so with the cost cap. Try to get the major manufactures to stay in without a freeze on rules is impossible due to costs. I think the only answer is to simplify the cars. Smaller lighter and cheaper PUs.

    Schumacher at Ferrari had 5 in a row. That’s just how Formula 1 is. There is dominace. The problem is so many races. When there was under 20 races the season would end and you would have a real off season. Now there is barely an off season. Plus how will F1 keep people’s attention for 24 races?

    I would say you're almost right, here. Yes, the sport ought to be looked through the lense of the teams/constructors, not drivers per sé. Because then you can appreciate what happens in the sport, than what is happening in front of a race.
    But, F1 did succeed after the Schumacher dominance to create two eras where the dominant constructor was often challenged: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 were close championships despite there being a constructor ahead of the pack. 2021 was an exceptional two way fight, but I would say F1 should look at other ways to bunch the field up (in contrast to you saying that other teams need to do a better job), e.g. simpler, smaller cars that our innovative still (clean fuel, kinetic energy) and fast, but because of a simpler format closer than it has ever been.

    BROOO THIS IS FORMULA 1 .. it’s often like this.. there’s always someone dominating!!
    Just enjoy the other nuances, stories, engineering marvels, of the sport.
    2021 spoiled you all.
