A befitting tribute to a great man. I was not aware that Peter had passed away. His uniqueness and distinguishing voice will be missed throughout the racing world. RIP my friend.
A young ex sportsman wanted to go into the media, maybe become a commentator. He got permission to sit with Peter O'Sullevan to learn the trade, on condition that he kept quiet. That young man was Richie Benaud, who some would say was the greatest sports commentator of all time, though he never forgot the invaluable lesson of watching another commentating great in action. Ironically, and sadly, Richie Benaud passed away a couple of months before Peter O'Sullevan.
+quick46 The old man gave decades of service to the racing fraternity and in "the last ten years" he was no longer the force of yesteryear, and upon his death all you can say is that he was "shit?" ... Now you proclaim that you are not deaf. Look little girl, it is clear that you are worse than deaf. Dismissed !!!
