I'm amazed to see how hard working Dan has been on his craft over the years. I first subscribed a few years ago and Dan has been plugging away week after week regardless of the size of the audience, and now here we are with 27,000 subscribers. Well done Dan, and thank you for sticking it out!

Nice video Dan, simply and clearly explained as usual.
I loved the fact that you left the kids singing in the background. FAB CHANNEL.

Thanks, Dan. Would you happen to know if the open source audio software Audacity can do all the things you discussed in this video?

You can definitely do EQ and compression. Not sure about de-easing but there was something I forgot to mention in the video: you can do a DIY dresser by attaching a pencil vertically down the centre of the mic with a rubber band! It does some of the job....

Just what I need... except how do I do this with Garage Band? (or LumaFusion?)... I can't work it out...

I can do a great monster voice of course...

GarageBand has a compressor and one can also download de-esser plugins for iOS at least. This in conjunction with final touch would give you the necessary tools.

@@DanBakerMusic Thank you - I'll see if I can work that out in the morning (sorry about previous comment from my other self - confused!)
