Your passion for music is contagious, and keeps me coming back for more. I love learning these amazing concepts, and still amazed at how simple it can be yet still takes much practice to get down. Thank you for being such a joyful and wonderfully clear teacher!
I must also say you are as easy on the eyes as you are on the ears. ;)

You are an incredibly amazing teacher. I've been a metal guitar player for decades and know quite a bit of theory and just recently got a keyboard. Getting the mechanics down on a piano vs. a guitar is quite different but your lessons make it so accessible. I've watched a few of your videos now and will continue to as they are so motivating. Thank you! 🤘

Every guitar player should learn basic piano as it helps to make sense of it all, sus chords, 7th chords, Inversions etc.

Oh my goodness, thank you thank you thank you. I played piano as a little girl, but could never progress in reading sheet music ( now understanding because of dyslexia). However i continued playing guitar and enjoyed it so much. Many years passed, studies, marriage, children.... And came across your videos. I realized playing piano is still a big dream of mine. My husband baught a piano for me about a month ago, and I can't thank you enough. I can play songs because of your videos such as this one, and enjoy myself!!! I am not experiening the frustration without progress like I used to as a child. For some reason I can follow chords more easily and have a sharp ear.. I am sure if I had these as a child I would never have given up. So again, thank you for teaching in such a fun playful way. I find myself watching my next lesson at work already and praying I will have time to practiser the songs when I get home. XxX

I'm 57 years old and I only recently decided to start learning piano. This was the first song I learned but I learned it from a different RUclips channel in a different key. Either way, it's a great song and I definitely think it's a great first song to learn because it makes you sound like you can play the piano even as a complete beginner. Thanks for the tips about rolling the notes and adding that second note. That will come in handy as I continue to progress.

Thanks to your endearing style and infectious enthusiasm, I will brave the next two weeks of rigorous practice to get anywhere near that.

What a awesome voice. You mentioned the artist's first name, but not his last, nor the name of the song. I found both by Shazaming. Have to admit I have never heard this song, nor the artist before. But he is obviously well-know in the music world. Lisa, you picked a great song for your Pop 101 video. Headed over to the member"s area now.

I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy
    I need somebody to heal
    Somebody to know
    Somebody to have
    Somebody to hold
    It's easy to say
    But it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain
    Now the day bleeds
    Into nightfall
    And you're not here
To get me through it all
    I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to turn to
This all or nothing way of loving got me sleeping without you
Now, I need somebody to know
    Somebody to heal
    Somebody to have
Just to know how it feels
It's easy to say but it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you helped me escape
    Now the day bleeds
    Into nightfall
    And you're not here
To get me through it all
    I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
And I tend to close my eyes when it hurts sometimes
    I fall into your arms
I'll be safe in your sound 'til I come back around
    For now the day bleeds
    Into nightfall
    And you're not here
To get me through it all
    I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
    But now the day bleeds
    Into nightfall
    And you're not here
To get me through it all
    I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
