Russia could have been a fantastic ally.. but a quarter of a century under the thumb of Putin has absolutely decimated that, I wanted to visit Russia to go to their war museums.. especially the one with the last remaining German MAUS tank.. nevermind.

With the ending of the Cold War, In the early 90`s.
It was great to see Air shows with the Russian aircraft participants.
Farnborough, Fairford, Woodford, etc.
