    I’m a master esthetician of over 30 years. I’m 54 and I can tell you unequivocally You shouldn’t have any acne if your skin care routine is working. Most products are just fluff and not results oriented. When you break out during your cycle it’s from deep in the pores and skin follicles. I call it the volcano effect. Out body heats up and makes more oil and the skin works overtime to purge out the skin. We all have normal skin it is what we do to it that changes it🍑Love your getting people excited about skin care.

    For those watching, Tretinoin can now be found in a lotion form. If the gel or cream is too harsh for your skin, it might be worth trying the lotion form

    So happy you posted a video. 🥳 . Your skin looks so good! I battled hormonal acne for about ten years, my current routine keeps my skin calm and happy. My routine: cerave hydrating cleanser, hada labo HA and cream, timeless vit c, adapalene, cerave pm. Have previously used and really like Azelaic acid. Stay safe, ❤️❤️❤️

    Just for prescription finacea which is 15% azelaic acid. Also experience a retin a purge and hoping the azelaic will help. Are you still using these products?

    • @PeachesSkinCare
      @PeachesSkinCare 4 года назад +1

      Veronica I hope you don’t mind I answered. You want it to absorb. However it is in my opinion just a bandaid for the skin. You want to do things that actually work and give you lasting results. Have an amazing day. 🍑

    • @pinkprincess0604
      @pinkprincess0604 4 года назад

      Thank you for responding!! Can you explain what you mean how it’s a bandaid? O: is azelaic acid not effective long term?

    • @PeachesSkinCare
      @PeachesSkinCare 4 года назад

      Veronica
      forgive me Veronica that was in response to products that give you a result but it’s temporary. Many of the Ordinary products fall under this category in my opinion. Azelaic acid is wonderful for the skin but be mindful of the quality and it’s not good if your not washing properly or masking your skin. Also if you do all of these things and then just apply foundation your taking all of the elements of products that truly change your skin and ruining the results deep in your skin. Hope that clarified? 🍑 love you care about your skincare!!!!

    how come you use the azealic acid after all your skin care and then an addition 30 mins later? have you tried right after cleansing? thanks!!!!

    • @orangesky8864
      @orangesky8864 4 года назад +1

      It's most effective straight after cleansing, but also quite harsh. I have started doing it at the end of my routine so that the rest of my skincare is a bit of a buffer and it's working a lot better for me.

    what is your Curology formula?

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  4 года назад +1

      .06 tret
      1 clyndamicin
      6 AzA (I actually have AzA in my rx but don’t think 6 is enough to make a diff. This reminds me I should get my rx updated!)

    • @rashasarandah1695
      @rashasarandah1695 4 года назад

      Jo's Logic vs Luxury I just got prescribed this exact formula so I hope it works. I’m already on Tretinoin.05 generic cream but wanting curology bc I think the formula seems more cosmetically elegant. We’re you ever on regular Tretinoin and how does it compare to the curology formula?

    • @LogicvsLuxury

      I get asked about the nuface a lot and truth of the matter is, I just don’t have the patience for it in my routine. :(. It’s sitting around collecting dust. I always make a resolution to use it but gosh even the extra 5-10 min daily is a lot to ask after a long day :/

    I use azelaic acid in the morning because it can deactivate tretinoin.

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  4 года назад +5

      i have not seen this. i have seen studies showing the combo are more effective when used together particularly for hyperpigmentation. also, my curology rx actually has tret and AZA together (a lower %, only 6). the main risk i have seen is irritation which can be helped by alternating day/night

    • @firnheledien
      @firnheledien 4 года назад

      @@LogicvsLuxury thanks! Do you have a link to the studies showing effectiveness when used simultaneously? Not sure if the studies applied both together or if both were used in the same routine at different times.

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  4 года назад +1

      @@firnheledien i do not have links but a quick google will uncover it. the study i read had patients applying aza morning and night with tret only at night as the test group vs. the control which did not have tret at night.

    • @firnheledien
      @firnheledien 4 года назад +1

      @@LogicvsLuxury I see, then the method that was investigated was still separated application, which is different from combined. I think I will stick with separate application.
