It seems like it should be designed to lock on to multiple enemies at once, it be nice if in turn the arty shot actually did the armor dmg

Dud i don't know how you do it. I'm fairly decent at this game but i struggle soloing 8s and you're constantly making level 10s look easy.
It's very dependant on mindset in my opinion, and loadout of course. What might work great as a casual random-4man squad absolutely will get overwhelmed etc.
When in doubt, run away until it's quiet again. You may feel like you're wasting time, but fighting 100 or so enemies mixed with medium and heavies will waste even more.
As long as you're not using a dogshit setup for that mission/enemy type it's easier than you think. Aggro control and ad hoc plan B pivot decision making is key here
Just keep running, and only kill stuff that is chasing you and can catch you or a teammate and actually gets you closer to completing an objective. It easy to spend 5-25 minutes fighting in one spot away from objectives (or worse on an objective) fighting waves of reinforcements.
One effective tactic for making objectives easier to trigger a reinforcement wave far away from where your team wants to go, or splitting your team's push onto 2 ore more objectives. The enemy can only spawn 1 reinforcement wave with exceptions from scripted events (Detector Tower, Geosurvey Drill Use, Hive Drill Use, Defense Rocket Launch). If there's an active Bot Drop or Bug Breach and it's not near your destination, you can freely engage the enemy there or nearby patrols without reinforcements. Keep in mind there's a small cooldown between reinforcement waves, so start your fight when the wave starts and finish the fight quickly!
Some maps will have more aggressive AI with increased patrols. It seems to be really bad on rocky/bare maps with little cover. You can see 3-5 patrols trickling in from an outpost or the edge of the map, and once they are alert, they will chase you across the map and it's very difficult to evade them.
Take a run around a big rock or through a network of tunnels, throwing strats and grenades as they trickle after you. If someone goes around the line back to the objective, you'll likely see the objective/camp site abandonded. All nearby guards to a reinforcement tend to join in on the chase. Gas is very effective for breaking line of sight and smoke is good for stopping enemies from sniping.
Lastly, sometimes the best course of action is to die. If you're the only target within 250+ meters and die, the enemies immediately despawn and won't come back. One tactic for an troublesome reinforcement wave or a heavily guarded objective/camp (Multiple bugholes nearby or overlapping strategem jammers) is to have one person engage and then run to the other edge of the map, shooting all patrols and camps in-sight to aggro. Yes it's nuts to pull the map after yourself, but that leaves all the camps and objectives empty and less likely to trigger reinforcements. At this point, they'll lose you, or despawn if you die; it takes too long and is hard on system resources to have that many enemies shuffle back across the map to their origional location.

It depends on how good you are with it, but the airburst is my main weapon, I can reliably get 15 kill shots, kill chargers in one shot, impalers in one shot (even with mask up), and bile titans in 2-3 if well placed, so I personally find it better for me, the wasp is still great, and probably better for people without airburst experience

I like the WASP and want it to be my go to. However, the fact I need to use more than one volley to take out bruisers or any heavy unit puts me off as I like the reliable one shot of the recoiless rifle. Of course there are exceptions of factory striders and impalers and bile titans, but as long as you know where to hit their weakspots, one hit guarantee.
Though I am starting to get the hang of the wasp but, IDK.

I still think grenade launcher is king at taking out the nursery/bile spewers. I honestly think the Autocannon just outclasses the WASP
I think the auto is a little bit better than GL
I absolutely love the wasp. My only complaint is that it's underwhelming visually, there's barely an explosion.
Artillery mode works best on heavies.
No it doesn't, artillery mode does all explosive damage at ap3, and loses out on all the ap6 ballistic damage the burst missiles have. Artillery is best used on swarms, but it needs an enemy you can lock onto in the middle. It's low value for all the ammo it consumes and it's job is done better by a default grenade.

Yhe problem with artillery mode is that it loses its heavy pen for some reason. that doesnt make any sense. It's literally the same exact rockets, just all at once from above. Its 100% that dumb dude that has to nerf everything because it's his fetish.
Artillery mode should retain the damage and heavy armor pen to kill heavy units, while the other mode is for medium enemies.
1 artillery to kill hulks, tanks and chargers, 2 for bile titans unless lucky with the headshots.
Idc if it would be "too good". Its a backpack weapon with long stationary reloads that needs distance and is inconsistent.
If they keep it as it is, they should still buff a bit the artillery mode, a small damage buff and a bigger radius so at least it's not a complete waste of all 7 rockets, while giving on the move reloads, like in killzone. Also it should have 8 rockets like in killzone.
I love the wasp but they really were scared AF to make it too strong.

why do you nearly always start on extraction?
That you can make a clean circle around the map, clearing all main and side objective as well as nests/encampments/outposts and end up back at extraction when done

@@ItzSpritz Some people in public games are really adamant about finishing every single side objective and it's really annoying. We are ready to extract and this guy will run for 5 min to the other side of the map to do a side objective, die twice and still try go do it. Wasting 10 min for no reason.
@@DaZiomasthe reason people do this is it gives you higher liberation progress. There's a video by Earvin explaining exactly how liberation progress is calculated
