Thank you Elmarie :-))) And keep on painting - the amount of time spent on the easel will define how far you can come as an artist. Just keep on pushing :-)))

I find it mesmerising to watch you paint. Your detail is as usual perfect👍🏼 Thank you for sharing your technique on RUclips for people like me to admire and enjoy🥰 🇦🇺
Thank you Dolores :-))) I buy my brushes here in Germany at a company called "Boesner". Mostly from the da Vince series (flats and rounds). But I also use some very cheap china brushes from ebay that you can get in sets of 12, these are very fine rounds from 0 to 4/0 in size.
Hola, como en todas mis fotos, aquí solo uso 7 colores: blanco titanio, amarillo limón, siena cruda, rojo cadmio, azul ftalo, violeta dioxazina y negro lámpara.
Thank you for your work. I would suggest that you mention the color mixes you use and the colors you apply, since it is hard sometimes to get that same shade. Thank you.
You`re welcome Seila :-))) The problem with your proposition is that I did that already on some older videos and they did exceptionally bad, people, at least the majoritay, just want to see how I apply the colour, they want to see a quick process not the in detail process of colour mixing. But I have this whole process on my Patreon where you can get for 5 dollars a month four new tutorials (basically the long version of the youtube videos), no time lapse at all and you also see the whole mixing process from start to finish.
Thank you :-))) But you can learn how to paint, it has much more to do with spending time on the easel rather than with pure talent. You just need to invest the time it takes to improve - but learning to paing is no wizardry, just give it a try :-)))
Your sincere words really gave me courage in painting, thank you very much! 🙏🏻 I hope I can tell my dreams on canvases as soon as possible :)) Stay healthy 🌸🌺

A fantastic job. I like to put a few layers of white undercoat on the canvass, in order to get a smoother finish for this kind of thing. The canvass can be a bit too rough sometimes for me, especially for blending, what do you think anyway? great work though.
Thank you :-))) I buy my canvas pre-primed. I am simply too lazy to do it myself ;-))) And it`s on top not too expensive. And this surface works fine for me and my painting process. Although I also paint A LOT on primed MDF plate which is much smoother....just depends upon my painting moods ;-)))
Wow! Just discovered your channel and such beautiful work!! I usually only use acrylic, but seeing that you use the water mixable oils over acrylic undercover…how long does it take for your paintings to dry/cure?
Thank you so much Tracey :-))) Yes, I use water mixable oils that I most of the time thin down with purified linseed oil. It can take up to a couple of days for the first layer to really dry completely. The "trick" is to have several paintings at the same time on the easels, so you can let them dry safely and still carry on painting ;-)))
@@brennerfineart thank you so much for the information and tips! 💕. Been debating for some time whether to transition to some type of oil based paints, but was always worried about the drying time. I will be binge watching all your videos and look forward to new ones. I saw in your info tab that you have a patreon channel…do you do full length tutorials there? @@traceywojtal9045 Oils really do make the painting process MUCH easier...i tried both, acrylics and oils and I would never ever switch back to those acrylics that are basically the moment dry you put them on, so blending is not really working and on top of that they sometimes do not stay true to their wet appearance. Hello, thanks for showing us this. This is a really interesting technique. Very efficient and effortless. I'm wondering something, when you dry brush on top of the dry layers underneath do you put down a really thin layer of clear linseed oil first? This might help the dry brushing blend more smoothly? Thanks again for sharing this.
Hi, I know about this method of "oiling out" the painting surface before applying the next layer. But I have not yet really used it for drybrushing. When you are not really careful about the amount of oil you put on you might end up having a surface that is really difficult to get some new colour on. Therefore I drybrush without this layer of oil and use a soft a little bit bigger brush to blend the applied colour even more. I think I have more control over applying the colour than with the oiling out first method. But both work fine when you have enough experience I guess. Need to try it one day :-)))
@@brennerfineart Ok. I haven't really tried this method yet so I'm not sure. I think the difficult part might be to not use too much linseed oil. Maybe just a tiny amount on the fingertip and then rub it into the working area with the fingers before dry brushing on top. Too much oil would probably make it too slippery though. It might be tricky to use just enough, but not too much. Oil is interesting and tricky stuff, isn't it? Keep up the amazing work. Take care.
@@RobertF- I would use a flat brush, I tried it with the fingers but I get better results with a brush. And yes, the layer of oil needs to be very thin or the new layer of colour will not really connect with the painting. I LOVE oils, you need a bit more experience but the effects you can achieve are WAY better than with acrylics :-)))
@@brennerfineart Ok thanks, I have to try it with a brush then. Yes, oils really do seem much more interesting and versatile than acrylics. Keep on painting, take care.
Hi Evelyn, depends upon the level of thickness I want to achieve - when I want to cover the white of the canvas completely in the first layer of underpaint I use just a tiny bit for a better flow, when I do glazing I use a lot to thin down the colours so that they get more transparent.
I love watching you bring your paintings to life x
