And in the xfinity series It's a nit different than racing in the biggest race of the year obviously nascar wants the best drivers in the race and not 56 year old neverwas
Kicked out? Hardly, one has to be in something first to get kicked out. His application was rejected, because he hasn't been racing for years, and is 65 years old.
I wish they’d do some exhibition racing with some of the older drivers. I don’t think it needs to go as far as having a division for them but maybe at Dega’, Daytona, Charlotte, or where ever the All Star race is held hold a 100 mile or less race for the retired guys over 50 just for entertainment purposes only. Cars? As long as it’s safe, what ever they want to show up in that was once a cup car.
Kurt Busch being medically cleared wasn’t something I was expecting to see and hear yesterday. But it’s a pleasant surprise. Good luck to him. And I’m with you on this vid when it comes to Kurt Busch.
I honestly think it was a good call for Mike Wallace not to be allowed As it's now been revealed by Brian Keselowski, Bob Keselowski tried to enter the Xfinity Series Race at IRP in 2010 but he also wasn't allowed because he didn't make a start in any series in 10 years as well
@@MotorsportsFan17 well Brent Sherman and Brian Weber made starts in Xfinity 2 years ago despite being 15 - 20 years apart from their last start, so that argument that it was a good call for Mike to be DNQ'ed, is wrong and false in my opinion.
Why is Jade Avedisian so popular? She hasn't even run her first ARCA race but yet many Nascar Cup drivers are supporting her 100%, she must be one hell of a good racer.....
NASCAR is done; the idiots that want to put it on pay per view ie.: streaming, sites will do what was done to boxing, fade away. I still can't find a channel to watch the Daytona 500 on.
castroneves is a indy car driver in the roger owned indy car series, roger is a major owner in nascar, even though helio can't drive a nail up his nasty xxx anymore he is allowed to damage equipment and endanger lives at will, because of his background in racing. from what we've seen the last couple years in plate racing i don't think it matter who you put on the track now, no skill involved today other than trying to manipulate cautions.
I think the Mike Wallace decision was the right move, you don't want a 65 year old brain with a 65 year olds reaction time out on the track, that's not safe for anyone.
@1776AxlePowerDM They said he can apply to race next year, which means being properly vetted, probably doing some testing etc. Not just hopping into a car next year
I think that call from NASCAR is bogus. They let Mark Thompson, James Hylton, and Derrike Cope race in the Daytona 500, why not Mike Wallace? Also don't forget that they let Brian Weber and Brent Sherman a couple years ago making starts for the first time in over 15 - 20 years. NASCAR is messed up for this, they wrongfully mistreated MBM Motorsports again, and hopefully MBM joins the 23XI/Front Row lawsuit against NASCAR. Also to that weirdo who said "wOmP wOmP" piss off please.
Did you forget that Hylton and Thompson were still very active in ARCA at the time (Including superspeedway racing?) You're bitching way too much for someone no one really cares about anymore, was very likely not going to qualify for the race anyway, and was probably going to just be 10-20 mph slower then everyone else.
Sawyer just dont like Mike in fact Sawyer dont like any of the Wallace brothers, but yet Drivers from another series all together go fig huh guess who every pays the most to race gets to race its all BS
I'm 69 and I know I'm not capable of performing physical tasks the way I did just 10 years ago. My reaction times are WAY down which is why I stopped riding motorcycles at 64. One close call was all it took. Mike Wallace had no business in the Daytona 500 and NASCAR figured it out. Before you yell discrimination consider the following: ..... Military and commercial pilots must surrender their professional licenses at 65. ..... Air traffic controllers must retire at 65 ..... Railroad engineers must retire at 65 ..... Ships Captains must surrender their licenses over a certain tonnage at 65 ..... Bar pilots (people who guide ships into port) must retire at 65 ..... Doctors can no longer get malpractice insurance past 65 so almost all retire. .....Many states have additional licensing requirements for those over 65. Mine requires written tests every two years (instead of 5 years) and behind the wheel every five years. *** All federal law enforcement agents must retire or leave the field at 55 (Fifty Five) Just about any job you can think of that an error could cost lives or cause catastrophic financial loss (like taking out half the 500 field) you're out of business at 65 years old. I'm very sure the major teams had pointed out the additional risk Mike Wallace presented.
Mike Wallace out?! But divebombing Bush is in? Bring back Jimmy and Harvick to make it a senior demo derby, nothing you do NASCAR makes sense anymore. Bill France is Roger Goodell, doing a trash job
NASCAR never should have let Mike Wallace come back to begin with. They made the right call. Age + lack of relative/recent experience. Sit down Mike. It is safety issue for him, and the other 40 drivers.
STOP THE BULL / I WENT DAYTONA 30 STRAIGHT YEARS 75 TILL 2005 / STOP THE CRAP 250,000 PEOPLE FRONT AND BACK GRANDSTANDS / THATS A SELLOUT / GET REAL GRANDKIDS
NASCAR in 2024 was a woke joke! A bunch of no name, cookie cutter kids racing for stage points. Indy Car racing is back!!! Larson is headed there after this year. Good for him!
mama look my meme is in a MDK video‼️
Nascar:sorry mike wallace you’re not allowed to participate in the 500
Also nascar:we will be allowing provisionals to enter in the Daytona 500
Weak argument. None really
Morgan Sheppard raced NASCAR at 72.
Morgan was also racing all the way up until he was 72 he didn't have a 10-year Gap.
And in the xfinity series
It's a nit different than racing in the biggest race of the year obviously nascar wants the best drivers in the race and not 56 year old neverwas
Mark Martin was a championship contender at age 50
True story bro
@@luckynascarcat24Mike Wallace is not Mark Martin.
Really stoked to hear that Kurt is coming back. It's really good to hear that things have been getting better for him.
If a driver meets the NASCAR driver qualifications they should be allowed to race.
I also think it didn't help that Mike Wallace would've been driving for Carl Long who NASCAR has a vendetta for.
Two never weres, teamed up, doesn't make a were.
Mike Wallace is very good at Daytona.I don't care if he hasn't been in there. Confusing and not understandable.
I'd love to see kurt have one last cup race at Vegas
Morgan Shepard raced at the age of 72 so i call bs on nascar.
Nascar makes up rules as they go...piss poor management. A new stock car racing series could end Nascar and I would welcome it.
That’s awesome for Kurt. Glad to see him back behind the wheel
Fast forward for Kurt at the 5:29 mark ......go kurt!!!!
The BIG news is Garrett Mitchell aka Cleetus McFarland is racing in the ARCA 200 Feb 15th. Finished 15th in practice.
HELL YEAH BROTHER !
Kicked out? Hardly, one has to be in something first to get kicked out. His application was rejected, because he hasn't been racing for years, and is 65 years old.
Fair but I mean he was IN the car to qualify for like a week lol

Do you think NASCAR made the right call with Mike Wallace and what do you think about Kurt Busch returning?
I think they should've given a refresher test. If he sucked then ask them to switch drivers. It's that simple
No they did not. They fucked it up like they usually do with their calls.
Kurt Busch being medically cleared wasn’t something I was expecting to see and hear yesterday. But it’s a pleasant surprise. Good luck to him. And I’m with you on this vid when it comes to Kurt Busch.

R.I.P. Bob Keselowski.
@@BrianIsTheGOAT594Bro, quit whining already. Nobody cares that you have a hard-on for Mike Wallace. The dude is racist and he sucks anyway.
to correct you, Helio did compete in the IROC series 2002-2005
Great video,
and thank you for sharing MBM info. Help support our team 🤘🏼
Kurt had the biggest villan ark of all time in naacar. Hated him as a kid. Kinda like him now that im older.
Feel the same way. Especially as a Jimmie fan I despised him. I became a fan of his after 2015
Daniel Ricciardo to the drive for MBM! 😂
That's what's up!

Kurt, Spiderman, yeah.
Dont forget about the #40 JRM car with Justin Allgaier!
Hershel McGriff competed in the arca west series at 90 years old
Competing in a ARCA West race and the Daytona 500 are completely different levels
Isn't Arca's top speed like 83 mph?
I believe he never stopped racing, something.
good report. Thanks.
so in view of the decision reversal that they would tell richard petty that he cant drive due to inactivity
Jimmie has a deal with Bourdais for indy, wonder if he puts him in the car for Daytona
If Mike had had been allowed the chance to qualify it would show he had the speed so he should have got the chance to try.
Thats a crying shame for Mike Wallace ☹
money gets you in the race period.
2:56 Lmao

Sounds like a discrimination lawsuit to me! He identifies as a 25 year old racing legend so NASCAR being as woke as they are should recognize this!
Mike is nowhere a legend! He’s know Rusty
Had me thinking he’s back in cup
Naw Kurt Bush is awesome…..he dosent need super speedways in his life. I will say Travis pastrana was a delight to see in the Daytona 500

I wouldn't call Wallace a "driver". He is a little brother of a good driver. That is all. He never did anything to deserve a second look.
I mean he has won at Daytona before
Mike Wallace raced for years and years in cup
He won races in Truck and Xfinity Series
I liked it better when were close to both busch brothers out.
He's old
NASCAR blows now, racing not stock cars, changing the whole premise of the sport, boring!
