Thank you Linda for sharing your story. It was very touching. It started out sad but with your love of God and Mary it had a beautiful ending.
God woks in mysterious ways in his time not ours. May GOD and mama
MARY continue to bless you and Andrew. 🙏❤️🕊️

Wile this is such a beautiful story of faith an re-connection, the section of the man not receiving Eucharist, and saying he was in a "negative place" with God, and being advised by the story author that "God doesn't keep a score book" seems to conflict with Church teaching, which is that we are not in a state fit for receiving the Eucharist unless we are free from mortal sin by the sacrament of Reconciliation. I am a daily mass attendee, and an addict, who often falls into this category, and feels everyone wondering why I don't receive the Eucharist at that Mass.
I know that so few people receive reconciliation regularly that the poor priests do not want to sit in an empty confessional for hours on end, and so getting reconciliation now can be difficult for the sinner.
BTW, I much prefer the term "Reconciliation" over "Confession" , the latter bringing up images of coerced police questioning.
