He put all these routine together himself along with those in his movies. He worked with Frank Sinatra in 3 movies that involve dancing. Including Frank first movie with dancing and before that movie Frank never dance before. Gene was his teacher . That movie was "Anchor Away". They was great together

So agile and fit Love Gene Kelly - so talented and charismatic - and Singin' in the Rain is such a 'Happy film' .Memories of my youth that have remained with me to this day and always will . I think I first saw this on the Julie Andrews Show in either '64 or '65 and the bit that stayed with me was Gene's finish. After a quite energetic dance routine he drops down onto his hands and toes and 'skips' sideways across the stage. The audience start to applaud about halfway through that really remarkable piece of dance. As we say here in Australia, he must have been "as fit as a mallee bull"!!!!! He certainly was a quite remarkable entertainer!!!!

Supercali etc. is in common meter double (CMD) and can thus be sung to quite a few tunes, and vice versa. For example Yankee Doodle melody with Super words, OR Super's melody with Yankee Doodle's words. Give it a try!

I think this also shows how Tall Julie is...i mean look at Gene's feeet...he is on his toes while sitting on the chair with Julie. And they did all this in one take...there are no attachments...so if they messed up, they would have had to shoot the entire scene again.
