    I just bought a used 2016 Impala. This is the nicest car I've ever driven. I also am getting 30 mpg with the 305 hp V-6. I've had it up to 130 mph and it was still accelerating. The last Impala I had was a 2007, and I got 230,000 miles out of it with no major issues. I am very impressed with this one.

      @@Dchopzz Well, I still have it. It just turned 180,000 miles. I got into a rock throwing contest with a log truck the other day and I lost. Windshield to be replaced. The only major problem I've had with it is the fuel system purge valve crapped out and the labor to replace it was expensive... Also, on that particular V6 engine, they have to remove the intake manifold to change out the spark plugs. Ugh.... But, I'm gonna drive it until it starts nickle and diming me to death. Probably get a Malibu since they discontinued the Impala.....

    My friend just told me yesterday that he recently bought one with a whopping 178k miles for $4k. He said it needs a little work done on it but nothing major wrong with it. Really excited to see it & ride in it as well when I see him in the next couple of weeks. He said it drives very smoothly especially with the high mileage & is easily the most refined out of all of the vehicles he's owned which doesn't surprise me since most of them were from the 90's.

    • @radicalcrash
      @radicalcrash 7 лет назад +14

      David Sears That would be bad if they did that. Front-wheel-drive makes so much more sense in real world driving than RWD. A lot of people don't buy cars to race them all the time. Also, a lot of people live in climates that get snowy and rainy, too, and you don't want to be driving a RWD car if it's snowing or raining. Plus, if you're not going to get all-wheel, then front-wheel-drive is the better of the two-wheel choices for stability and efficiency. RWD should mostly be kept to cars that are specifically made for high performance, because then people would know to expect it to have those kinds of troubles. Not that FWD is perfect. It's just better in these particular types of circumstances.

    well ill start by saying that in my opinion, the design team at gm/chevy created one of the best LOOKING cars on the market (including foreigns) however sales figures as of late have (what ive read) become dangerously low. some have said its due to the market shifting towards smaller mid-sized sedans ( malibu). i agree with this claim partially but i believe its more to it, like power. gm made a very nice full-sized car inside and out, that can compete with the dodge charger, ford taurus etc. except when it comes to powertrain options. gm sold this big impala without an option for a v8(or at least a turbo), no awd option either. in doing this they completely leave out the market for a big family sedan with more power and awd, removing the impala from being able to properly compete with the charger and taurus. i do understand that more and more people wants eco friendly/smaller vehicles but there still is a specific market for the opposite (look at charger srt8 and taurus sho sales over the years). ive actually been hearing about some talk about gm discontinuing the impala in favor of the malibu, (sort of how they did with the lucerne and lacrosse in buicks lineup) i cant remember the sources but its just what ive heard. this explains the lack of advertising support for impala and more resources being used on the malibu. im a impala fan and plan on buying this '14-17 impala ltz... im just a little concerned about this rumored demise of it.

    I would not buy a 4 Cylinder for a car that huge. But to each its own.

      Keon Jenkins Exactly V6 or go home. 4 Cylinder is ok for a Malibu, Accord, Camry but not a full size car like a Impala, 300, or Maxima.

    Chevy needs to make a awd impala to match Ford's fusion sport and give it another 20 hp to325 and 290lbs ft of torque

    I hate the navigation system on this car you have to call them before starting your car I prefer manual navigation not just to call someone just to set the location for you it's annoying

      Keith Nk Doesn't the Impala have Android Auto and Car play you can use your phone navigation with Google for Android Auto or Apple Maps with Car play.

    I would personally get a V6 of I'm getting a full size sedan like the Impala. 4 Cylinder on a car that size is a joke. 4 Cylinder are great for compact cars like the Civic, Corrolla, and Cruze and ok for midsize sedans like the Accord, Malibu and Altima.

    Did your tester have adaptive cruise? I don't know about now, but a couple years ago, the grill on cars w adaptive was different (and ugly). Just wondering if the grill is the same now with or without adaptive. Thanks for the vid

    How is it that the fuel range on this is 433mi? I have a 2016 2LT Impala 3.6L V6, and when I fill up, max fuel range it says is 315mi. *scratches head*

    Gold Pony. I saw your recent review on the VW Passat and this one for the Impala. Have you tested the Chevy Malibu? What is your take on the Passat R-Line vs Toyota Camry SE vs Chevy Malibu 1LT? They all are similarly priced at about $25 Grand MSRP.

    A friend of mine has a 2015 Cruise. I hate the thing, but that aside, the impala looks like it has the same arm rest in the back, which is the most useless armrest I have ever used. It's way too short. All I can fit on it is my elbow and a couple inches of my forearm. Nothing if there is a cup in them, since they take up all the front space. Just a minor gripe. Also, the keyfob looks exactly like the ones for the Buick Lacrosse. Otherwise, looks like a good car to have
