I own one and it's very good. Haven't experienced any skipping.
The mechanical noise it makes while priming is awesome! The grips are exceptionally comfortable.

Its so awesome how you point out your own personal style and tell why or why not a blaster etc will or wont work with it. Each to their own but alot of people shoot the same style as you. So it helps. But you never dog it for being less useful for YOU. You simply point out the facts and fits. Unless its just a crummy blaster. Thank you for your honesty and impartiality. Its very helpful for noobs and people who prefer other things. Keep it up, dude.

I just got this blaster and I think it works well because of the fact that you can reload while keeping pressure on the opponent. Also I like this capacity but I wish that it had a stock attachment point and a smoother priming mechanism. Thanks for review

I have the Surgefire, and, in my opinion, it doesn't skip darts on slam fire (at least mine doesn't...); both grips are comfortable; the strength required to pull the front grip to load or slam fire the Surgefire it's higher than in the other Nerf SPRING blasters.

We could make the drum slightly smaller with 1 extra dart capacity. We could also replace the priming indicator with a 4 dart capacity storage & we could reduce the force from priming the blaster.

DOES NO ONE ELSE REALIZE WHAT HASBRO ARE DOING? Theyare turning the Modulus line into the one focused around optimizing your blaster and attachments and all the different combos of the Modulus line. But the Elite blasters are becoming just blasters. The Hyperfire, now the Surgefire and the Invictus or whatever its called. They are the 3 newest elite blasters that arent re-skins and none of them have barrel or stock attachments. The elite line will become a line of primary blasters that are top of the line (elite) on their own. The modulus line is for people who want to customize a smaller platform eith all the attachments they have. Carry on, as you were

they simply want to phase out the elite line since they've been doing it for so long.

That would be dumb, price is different from country-country because of different values, and they also change over time. He only does this when hes speculating (Toy fair for example) or when its exceptionally cheap/ expensive
I've had my Surgefire for some time and just got it out again. Slam fire did not skip darts if done slowly, but high speed did have an effect.

Since the elite 2.0 series is out my country doesnt sell any og elite blasters anymore except the ones that were just put on the market or the older one that werent sold in some stores (or if they found some in the back of the warehouse like 3 years ago when i saw the unopened elite Spectre)
Anyways, i wanted to buy some darts so i went to a toy shop today where we usually buy toys (didnt go there for like 2-3 years) but they were selling 20 for 9€ and thats an absolute steal. At the same time i saw the oldest gun that was on the market (the last one since the 2.0 series is out) the Surgefire.
I was planning to buy it since it came out but i never worked it out with my parents. Now since im a highschooler i go to the capital nearly every day so i made the decision in 5 minutes and bought it. Since 2.0 is out i’d probably buy the 2.0 version of it but it doesnt have slam fire which im a big fan of

Maybe the drum of the surgefire was really heavy through just the way it was designed, so the design team decided to make each barrel further apart so that the dart skipping was less of an issue, rather than completely redesigning the drum system

This blaster will be perfect if this had a 20 round capacity, flywheel powered, semi-auto and with tactics all over it.
But theres a solution already made, the Rebelle Fearless Fire! (if you dont mind its colors and cosmetics)

I kinda like the look of this one. I like the front-loading cylinder and the fact that it's spring-powered and comparatively high capacity while using standard darts. I'm not especially fond of the Nerf magazines as I've noticed they tend to damage the darts over time, so this feels like a good alternative.
Of course, I could just use my Artemis.
All it matters is that cat watching you firing that blaster

Yesterday was my eleventh birthday and that was my first nerf gun, I really had no experience having any nerf guns so I thought this is great!
This gun was also my first gun but i got that like 2 or 3 years ago

I have this nerf gun and it's really comfortable I would suggest it unless your a hardcore nerfer it's really fun to use
Just pop that cylinder into the Hammershot and you got the ultimate revolver
i feel this is a great begginner blaster as it mechanically cannot jam, has a decent capacity, is easy to use, and is cost effective.
I just bought this for my “Christmas Angel” kid. It cam from Amazon with the box opened and all beat up. I wanted to make sure everything was OK with it so I loaded the cylinder into the gun. Now I can’t get it out and it won’t fit back in the box with it in the gun. I am afraid to try and force it out. Any advice? Thanks
Maribeth Vernon you can put a Allan key or something similar in the hole in front of the drum and push and once the tab is depressed you can slide the drum out the side no problem.

Awesome blaster, my lad gave it its first outing a couple of nights ago, his Beaver Scout troop held a mini Nerf War. My lad was the only kid there that attends Nerf Wars and he had everybody diving for cover and totally obliterated his opponents every game, cracking rate of fire and awesome power. Just the sound of the darts cracking off the wall above their heads had everybody scared to come out from cover to take him on lol...

Hey, the Villainator (Dart Zone, not Nerf) is much better than the Surge-Fire, has 40+ darts in the cylinder and a huge fps difference

I really like the Surgefire. It's simple, not trying to sell itself with a gimmick like the Infinus or the Nerf Cam, it feels like one of the early Elite blasters.
I might sell my Shockwave and get this instead.

Nerf should make a pump gun but have a tacticool rail on the pump to add grips. It would also be cool if they added a new “slanted” grip to the blaster.
