Ryan and Summer are good friends. Also it would be better if they were more than friends. Because Summer never wanted to hook up with Seth and also didn't want to be with Zach either. Because Summer never pushed Ryan and Marissa being together like Seth did all the time. Because it's like Summer loves Ryan and also Ryan loves Summer too. Because Summer never judged Ryan like she did with Seth for leaving or at all. Because that's why I ship Ryan and Summer together more.
Ugh I really think in an alternate universe where Summer/Seth and Marissa/Ryan weren't happening, they could totally get together. At least I think their friendship could've been developed a bit more.
I always did have a problem with the lack of relationships the O.C. showed between other characters sometimes. For instance, you get Ryan & Sandy but barely ever any Ryan & Kirsten. Seth & Marissa except for the first few episodes of season 1, barely have any scenes together or anything at all that would show their actually friends & same with Summer & Ryan but they have a few throughout the show rarely at least. Will always love the show but felt like they really ignored a lot of friendships/relationships between characters
@M W Yeah honestly I always liked Ryan and Summer together more. Because it would be less drama without Seth and Marissa. Because Ryan and Summer are more playful with each other and that's why.
@@thefighter5182 Yeah, it's kind of funny how they both were with people who usually were the cause of the relationship problems as Seth was usually screwing up in some immature way & Marissa is always a crisis waiting to happen. I really enjoyed the scene when Summer went & talk to him at the bar in season 4, also thought they could have at least made them closer friends by bonding over Marissa's death since they were the two closest to her but oh well
@M W Yeah well it would've been better if the writers shipped Ryan and Summer than Ryan and Marissa. Because Summer never blamed Ryan for beating up Oliver. Because Summer said Ryan isn't stupid. Because he had good reasons to do that. But also Summer didn't blame Ryan for leaving like she did with Seth. Because it's like Ryan and Summer are like perfect for each other because they didn't blame or judge each other about anything. Because that's why I never cared about Seth and Marissa. Because they are cause of relationship problems because they're the toxic ones on here.

The one thing I really hated about seth and summer not being together is the way she treated seth when they weren't together. Everytime they weren't together summer always acted like she regretted being with seth. Then I'm always like well why are you with him in season 3 and 4? Like I understand you were pissed he just left and didn't tell you just leaving a letter for you but like well stop wasting your life away being with him if you regret that whole relationship. You were right you don't deserve him. When they were together they were super cute but apart I just wanted to throw summer across the damn room.
Summer doesn’t regret their whole relationship. She loves Seth. She is angry with him at this point for good reason. He ran off in a sulk and left her and his parents and his whole life because what?? Ryan couldn’t be his live in best mate anymore - Ryan was only moving an hour or so away, Seth could have still seen him, often and Ryan could have visited the Cohens anytime (it’s weird that they all act like Ryan is going to Mars or something) - Anyway, Seth has pursued and pursued Summer for years- even after messing her around by dating Anna at the same time, she still chose to be with him. He then had a massive tantrum and ran away from home and left her as if she meant nothing to him- all because his best mate moved away. Seth was always a selfish, self involved ass and frankly it’s a wonder he had any people in his life.
@@NarnianHogwart I always viewed Seth as the character in a show that is well written or well thought out, because he liked Ryan a lot since he wasn't like Newport people who are selfish, self-involved, and judgmental, etc. Yet that's exactly how Seth was as well until he finally grew up in the last season. He was a "nerd & loser" so he never had much of a social life until his teen years so I guess it makes sense that he acted so immature the way he did a lot since he had the most growing up to do in a way. I'm not defending him or anything because I was annoyed at him for how he treated Summer(And Anna) a lot & the dumb decisions that were frustrating sometimes lol but I think the show idea was pretty insightful to have the character who always saying how he hates the way the people of Newport are without realizing that he was exactly what he hates & then watch him slowly but finally grow up out of it.
Yeah I wasn't annoyed by Seth. Because I liked it when Seth was with Alex for awhile. Because that's what made him grow out of it. Because Alex is like the don't care about anything except music is her passion and drinking beer and getting hungover a lot and it's cool. Because that's the type of girl that I like more. But Alex and Volchok would have the same interests in like the same things in common with each other.
