I've loved this conversation thanks so much ladies. I run a domestic recruitment agency and I get to here the difficulties but also the positive that comes with us having our home managers.
I was especially waiting for Pumla's maid experience cause i relate, like her i have one child, love my space, before child started school, i dropped child at the Mulondos' little steps(now the cradle)..😄 the most i had was a live out nanny when i had to go to work during partial lockdown days and the child was homing schooling, child is all grown now and we do chores by ourselves
Oh my God...I love what Manuela said, "treat my children the way I treat You." Also, I think I'm so much like Rachel, It pisses me off having to tell my house help something more than twice. I've used 3 So far and just decided to take a break for now. I even dread getting one, tho chores are killing me, I sleep ok knowing i won't loose my mind over someone.
@@rachaelmwineI'm on the fence about those. I've heard most will go with something from your home each time they leave in the evening 🤣. I'm currently home. So all I've got now is the washing lady who comes in once a week.
I really enjoyed this particular show. Sorry Manuela 😂😂. Our maids always felt like family and we stayed with them for at least 3 years. The funniest thing I remember is when my brother was given white ants to eat and he got sick. The only thing he could say was "Twalidde ebiwuka!"
I'm so sorry. I will say this, do not let anyone come into your home and depress you. Let her go and get someone that is recommended by someone you trust
I am loving your shows, I am getting interesting research topics from these conversations, talk about the care economy. As an addendum to this episode, can you discuss maids and the use of household equipment? Thanks
House help shenanigans never end !!!!! Especially when you have children... I had it with them until I went to google to hunt for them professional helpers 😂😂😂
Good discussion but for some strange reasons you all left out the age brackets and educational background of your house managers.(apart from Agnes ) Age and education play a pivotal role in someone's performance. Some of instructions you were giving your house mangers are best suited for peole who are a little bit mature and educated you can't expect a gal of 15 years to multi-task or be creative that is a big ask. At 15 in a normal home setting that gal is still learning life skills under strict guidance of her parents and we all know how teens are.
Thank you ladies for sharing! I would like that tou share more or advise us on the part of running your home without a house help like Manuela... when I have a home, I really would not want to have a house help but critically thinking about it, it seems to be very hard especially if the woman is working an 8-5 job... then when children come in, its another story! Mrs. Mulondo, how have you done it?
Oh yes, very good question. We are going to do more episodes on this same subject. We will definitely have Manuela and Pumla share what they do to manage their homes without maids. Thanks for watching.
@@rachaelmwine thank you. We shall be waiting. Thank you so much for all the videos, the knowledge you share with us is life giving, even for us who are about to be mothers.

That's a nice statement, treat my kids like the way I treat you, I have had maid for 15years and I really treat her like my own. Thank you Lord.
Oh ladies, you're so sweet. So for me, when I go to Mutundwe, I ensure to pray and fast for my house help (I call them managers)
Yiiyii 🙄 I have a feeling that this conversation was cut short I was still enjoying 😂😂😂I love you guys ❤❤
Am not a mum yet but you guys inspire the kind of woman ( mum ) I want to be

More background checks should be done. Those who can afford CCTV should have it installed.
