@tomservo56954 i think the only person who did, maybe on occasion, was sister Caroline (as played by Deborah Courtney)..yep, Christopher Reeve was a little tall to be a 'Beanie'....
@@tomservo56954 Not usually. And a discussion between Ben and his younger sister Caroline usually began with Caroline saying "Beanie .. I mean Ben ...," followed by her brother replying "Yes, Porky ... I mean Cal ...."
RIP, Peggy McCay (Vanessa #1/Caroline, DAYS OF OUR LIVES). She passed away in October 2018.
Love this show! Dennis Parnell was a great little actor.
All pre 1980s soap operas should be saved I hope they are classics that are underrated
Holy cow, my mother and little brother used to watch this every single day.
Rest in peace, Jean and Peggy.

@@quentinkirk3870 Tudi Wiggins played Meg at the end of the program's run. And she was still spunky then!

Yes, Caroline would say "Beanie ... I mean Ben ...," to which Ben would reply "Yes, Porky ... I mean Cal ...."
Meg is so tall. But I think that Mehta Bauer Roberts from Guiding Light is taller. They both probably did modeling before acting.
Was there a character on the soap named Alden and if so who was the actor?
Name was Alden Miller not sure who played him
"Aunt Van" was Short,Meg is At least 5'7"Tall.
I hope they still didn't call him Beanie when Reeve was playing him...
No, he was Ben by then, and he always called his mother "Maggie," not Meg.
@@ElliottMichaels56 Not "Mom" or "Mother"?
