    The only DIY thing I've ever done to my 92 camry is change the dome lightbulb, and it was not a smooth process 😬.
    I don't know how I came across your channel but now I've watched a few of your videos and subscribed. I am seriously tempted to remove my cars instrument panel and dash for a deep cleaning. I don't see this ending well for me.

      @@AutoFixYT Thanks a lot for the encouragement. I finally did it last week. Gave the entire dash area and vents a deep clean. Have to admit I could not figure out how to disconnect the clock. Maybe if I used more force but I was afraid to break anything and create a new problem. It was cumbersome to work around and hope I put everything back correctly.
      Your video is the first one that I found I could pause and follow along when needed and that ever motivated me to even attempt such a thing on my car. Thank You.

      Awesome! I'm glad the video was helpful! It is totally worth swapping those old bulbs for some fresh LEDs, no matter what color you pick. It refreshes the look of the cluster completely. One tip I have is to not cheap out on the LEDs. I have bought cheap ones a few times and after a few months they start flickering or the burn out and them you have to do the job all over again. So keep that in mind.

    I am Korean living in Seoul. I recently received my father's '95 Camry produced in the US. The LED on the speedometer was broken and I was wondering what to do. Because Toyota cars began to be sold in Korea after 2010, there are no repair shops that know how to supply and repair parts for these old cars. Your video will be of great help to me. I'm thinking of buying some leds and giving them a try. The process may not be easy. But I'm still not sure which led to buy. This is because there are many different types available on internet sites. Is it possible to buy the T10 standard?

    • @AutoFixYT
      @AutoFixYT  7 месяцев назад

      Awesome! These are great cars! Yes you can use a T10 bulb. T10 is the same as a 194 which is what those lights need to be.

    This is completely unrelated to the video. It’s hard to find info on the Camry wagon. Is the outer tail light just a camry tail light or do I need to get a wagon specific tail light?

    • @AutoFixYT
      @AutoFixYT  Год назад

      Great question and I agree. Everything wagon related I had to dig and explore and find out for myself first hand. But I do know the answer to your question! They are wagon specific taillights. Everything behind the front doors, when it comes to body, glass, lights, interior, is all wagon specific. Suspension is the same except for the rear coil springs which are wagon specific.

    • @AutoFixYT
      @AutoFixYT  Год назад

      There should be a lens that covers the light bulb. Pry that lens off with something. Little screw driver, pocket knife, your keys even, and then you should be able to just remove the bulb from it's socket. Once that's done, install the bulb you went but test it first because LEDs don't always work when polarity is reversed. Some are non polarity sensitive meaning they'll work in either direction, but if it doesn't just flip it 180° and it should work.
      Then just reassemble.

    Great video. I have a 95 Camry and my (D) does not light up when the car is in Drive. Is that a separate bulb? Is so, any idea what kids?

    • @AutoFixYT
      @AutoFixYT  Год назад +1

      Yes! I had that same issue! So... Follow this video and take the cluster out. Once the cluster is out, on the backside you will see how the row of "PRND2L" lights can detach when you pry up on three little tabs. It then slides out like a book from a bookcase. Once you have that out, you will see a bunch of little tiny bulb sockets of various colors. I'm sure the colors mean something but these are so hard to find that in the end it doesn't matter as long as it works. They are interchangeable. So maybe the color was just a thing Toyota did to mark which goes where? Idk. Anyway, you can use a little screwdriver and twist counter clockwise until it pops out. With it out, what I actually did is I used my reverse bulb and put it in the Drive slot. You can either do that, or you can pick any other bulb, or you can go to a junkyard and do the same thing and pull out all those bulbs and use those. But that's how you replace it. Now, keep in mind that there are more bulbs than there are indicators. There is one extra bulb for the main backlight, and I think one more extra? Maybe just one extra. And also the Drive bulb has two brigtnesses. When you are in drive with the headlights off, it's full brightness. Once you turn on the headlights, it goes to half brightness for nighttime driving. Pretty cool.
      Anyway, I hope this helped!

      My wife bought it as her first car 7 years ago. She found it on Craigslist. Her mom had just sold her Corolla wagon (to me lol) and they had also gotten rid of the family minivan (big family) so they needed a decent size vehicle but not an SUV. And my wife was browsing through Craigslist one day, saw this, they went to look at it and after a little bit of back and forth (car had some slight issues) they ended up with this amazing 1996 Camry Wagon. Unfortunately we don't have the car anymore, about 5 months ago we gave it to a friend in need of a vehicle. Maybe one day it will return, but either way I know it's on good hands and it is loved and cared for.
      These are very rare cars nowadays, especially in the condition that this one was in. It was a Florida car for many years so it really saved it from the rust belt salt. My Corolla Wagon (the one that used to be my mother in law's) has lived in MA since 1995 and after 346k miles it shows severe signs of rot, but I am fixing it. Not letting it die.
      Anyway, getting side tracked, to answer your question in one sentence, they're out there, you just have to be willing to wait, and potentially travel far for a good one. But they are much more rare and hard to find than they were 5-6 years ago. And wagon specific parts are also very hard to come by, if not impossible. Junkyards are your best bet for wagon specific parts.
