      Don't feel bad my dear! I've been wanting to do the video for a while... I just have to remind myself not to do it after work. Plus I stress myself out so that doesn't help... LOL. I'm glad you liked it and thank you so much for your encouragement!!

    I love this! I have been wanting a laminator for a while now so I can do some DIY projects and make cute things for my planner. Thank you for sharing this! I can’t believe you stayed up so late working on this. Thank you for being so dedicated to your channel!

      I love my laminator! It's definitely been worthwhile for me. I have a really bad habit of staying up until 10:30 - 11p even though I know I need to wake up at 4:30a. Its usually okay when I'm just crafting or editing (or taking the odd night off) but when I film AND it's a tutorial... I just get tired and frustrated. LOL THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME!

    I had the exact same problem with the 5mil laminate bubbling when folding. What worked for me was scoring before laminating, scoring really hard into the laminate after, and folding carefully at one end first and working my way down. I always folded in the middle and that seemed to cause the bubbles for me. But folding at the ends first has worked for me so far.

      Kristin... I'll definitely need to try these tips out! I have the 3mil laminate that I've been using but if this works, I can finish out my stock of 5 mil. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    • @shortbutsweet
      @shortbutsweet 4 года назад

      @@JojozaHannaHawaii you're welcome! Hopefully it works for you. I know the struggle well. 3mil was fine for my Micro TNs but I wanted more sturdiness for my bigger TNs. So I wasted a lot of laminate sheets trying to make the 5mil work. Hoping you will get successful results from here on out. :)

    You should try scoring before you laminate, that’s what I do. It helps in folding and I wonder if you might not get the separating of the laminate. I don’t think I’ve had that problem. TFS.

      What does scoring mean ? I want to make one of these .

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii

      Scoring is making a crease in the item so that it's easier to fold. I show the scoring board that I use in the video. TFW

    I love all your videos. Maybe you try score the paper before you laminate it. I am by no means a expert. You can also maybe reinforced the spine with clear contact. Just little old me trying to give a suggestion so that they won't go to waste. The all are so beautiful.

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  4 года назад

      Shoshonna... thank you so much for the suggestions! Since then, I've switched to 3mm laminate and that seems to work better. But I like your ideas. And I think I've come up with a way to use those that had the spine come up... Have a wonderful week my dear! And TFW!

  • @KatieReadsKoziesAndMore
    @KatieReadsKoziesAndMore 5 лет назад +1

    This is food-for-thought. I’m not going to buy a laminator to make this now that I see the problem when rounding the spine. I may try to devise more of an envelope style pocket made of card stock with closure flap that can be held secure with elastic. Or a cloth pocket with cardboard incorporated into the spine to give the rings more protection? Maybe I’ll live with it for a while before making any closures. Decisions decisions...🤔

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  5 лет назад

      I picked up the same brand but in the 3 mm size and it seems to work better. But your alternative ideas sound really good too. TFW!

    What about a self sealing laminate sheet with that work? If they made a big enough one? I guess you could make the skinny mini and use a regular size self sealing one?

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  4 года назад

      Wenzday... I'm not sure they have the self-sealing one in a large enough size (I need the menu sized laminate). Or at least I don't think they do. My laminator does both hot and cold lamination (I think the cold is used for the self sealing laminate) so if I can source bigger pieces, that would be awesome. TFW

    Try running it back through the laminator. The one that has separated

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  5 лет назад

  • @wenzdayneher8842
    @wenzdayneher8842 4 года назад +1

    So did you ever run them through the laminator again to see if they sealed properly or did you still have a problem? How about when you pre-scored them before you laminated them and then re-scored again? I would love to see you make one of these for the skinny mini pretty please;)

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  4 года назад +1

      Wenzday... it's still a problem. I tried running it again afterwards (hours and even days after) and I also tried prescoring them as well. I think I've got it under control by using 3mm laminate instead of 5mm but I did like the heavier weight of the 5mm.
      Yup, I've got plans to make one of these tutorials for the skinny mini... Probably later in the month since we have the holiday. TFW my friend.!

    I can't find any 12x18 scrapbook paper??

    • @JojozaHannaHawaii
      @JojozaHannaHawaii  5 лет назад +1

      There might be some specialty paper out there in that size. To make the Half Sheet TN, I just modify some 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and what you'd need is the 12 x 18 laminating sheets - I'm not sure if you can find those sized laminating sheets in stores but I purchase mine from Amazon. Hope this helps...
