  • A quick upload here while some videos are in the works. Here we see 2 of London Underground's Battery-Electric Locomotives L49 & L26 passing Gloucester Road heading East on the Piccadilly Line up towards Arnos Grove and Cockfosters. Apologies for the lower quality as this was filmed on my phone rather than my camera as I did not have the camera at the time.

Do deep-level tube freight services always run double-enders with a leading and trailing locomotive?

From what I've seen these services run with a locomotive at the front and rear of the train however, I wouldn't be surprised if this occaisionally doesn't happen

    Rare?

Definately. Usually these would run very late at night or in the very early mornings so to see one in the middle of the day is very unusual.

Not really unusual at all. This is a training run which runs a few times every week generally.

@@SouthLondonRailwayPhotography I didn't know that. Useful to know next time I see one in the middle of the day.
