my advice to anyone visiting London would be first learn how to read the underground map and then just go off on completely random walks. you will never be far from an underground station so no problem getting back to your base and you get that WOW moment when you realise you have ended up at St Pauls Cathedral or Big Ben.
I came across the by accident today and totally enjoyed it. I used to live walking round london when my sister lived there. We’d go every summer with my kids. I found this very relaxing , interesting and therapeutic. Thankyou for sharing 🙌🏼🥰
in the Boston area there is big college business lots of students Harvard and MIT, BU, Tufts University etc. there is always foot traffic it can get pretty busy especially during lunch time. I live an hour west always go back and walk around and hang out a couple of times a week. even on sunday.
Thx for this beautifully photographed video. It would be very helpful if you added a map and/or captions and/or time stamps that made it easier to follow and explore the route. The titles provided are simplistic. Cheers!
@@londonwalktours I don;t live in London and I only know the basic routes around the city so some information of where you are in the areas very few know would be great for people like myself...something like Neil's Yard (I know where that is just an example) more work for you I know, but so much better for us.
just google as you watch and go along, you'll find it more interesting and informative, plus you'll discover some ahhhh! Hmmm! well, i never facts along the way.
Thanks for posting! Interestingly, I don't see too many overweight folks, I guess you can drink on the street -- with dozens outside of pubs and cafes drinking, and didn't see many homeless people. Denver has quite a few homeless.
Sounds good what you're saying, but I'm not from London, and definitely, I'm not Steven Spielberg. If you're travelling to an unknown city while you're a tourist, I don't think you know every little street and location in that place :)
@londonwalktours I lived in London for 25 years and hadn't visited a lot of these hidden gems. I'll endeavour to seek some of them out when I go back to visit.
Have been visiting London for more than 45 years. Every time I visit I walk for hours…. Every street has a story…. Every pub has a story…. Every bridge has a story…. Avoid tourist hot spots…. Keep safe….
You should have examined Thread Needle Street/The ol city of London and the world effecting super banks there...That's the reason for London's world importance!!!
It'd be more interesting if you tilted you camera up more frequently while walking. The architecture is more visually stimulating than the numerous pedestrians.
London is such a glorious and historic city. What a shame there is the current social and economic decline. It really could become a world capitol once again...... Good Luck !! 😊
Way, Way, way too crowded and noisy for me. I do like the cleanliness of the old town mile and the little oddities tucked in quiet corners... but.... the noise. No, I am not a "towny".
I'm a city girl and miss the energy and buzz of London. I lived there for 25 years and had to move back up North for family and financial reasons. I revisited London last year and hope to do so next month 🙏 🙂. I miss London so much.
I'm in Germany at the moment and I'm looking at the person in front of me as I'm in the public transport LOL. OK I will remove my headphones 🎧 , no more music !
Just can't believe how clean London is!!! The US there is so much bubbish in the streets. Look at Atlanta worst hoods and you will see what I mean. As far as prince Harry goes la is very very dirty. Especially the down town area. But that's what happens when you have a democratic government and not a monarch. Cheers to all of you in beautiful London. Oh it's tea time !!!!

Totally agree with you Mark !
I think that might have the negative effect of ending up in some stinking and probably even dangerous slum
That lady @10:45 with long legs is worth a mention. True eye-candy. Trying to avoid flying off of her skirt holding with her legs. Such a great art.
Great advice!!!!

This is something we dont see anymore in the United States, people unwinding and going for a drink after work together. 😢
You might see it in NY? You need a really high concentration of office workers in close proximity to achieve this.

What’s with the shoes under the stairs?..
Not much in the UK now either . Silly prices , unfriendly staff and ‘ get as much down your throat as you can ‘ attitudes don’t help at all.
This is London England we are cultured

Videographed?
Definitely and also a description of the main buildings passed by. I very much enjoyed your video, thank you!

I lived in London for 25 years and had never seen some of these areas. Must seek them out when I visit London.
So what are the names of these very interesting places. I don’t know what I’m looking at here.
Thr City of London, the Square Mile
Perhaps he don’t know 😅
Well if he did that they wouldn’t be hidden anymore 🤭
Loved it…Thanks for sharing 👍
Fantastic Walk. Excellent Video. Love it !👍😁❤️
Please say where these places are Thank you.

it's a nice walk around the City and the photography is splendidly clear. How is it that there is almost no traffic?
Congestion charge, ULEZ

Soo many roadworks with no one working! That’s all over the British isles, so chilled.
Great. Walking. I would never dind any if these

Very Beautiful ❤video
Anyone asking where in the City of London this is, he regularly shows street and pub names. May I introduce you to the wonderful world of Google 😂
But why ask google as you are walking together? are we all changing in antisocial awkward hermits surrounded by other people?
Brilliant ! Was this a Friday evening ?
That was filmed on a Thursday afternoon

This is fantastic! Is this a weekend day or weekend?
There is no place more beautiful than UK during the 3 days of summer 🙂
Yes, that's why I moved to the much less beautiful Los Angeles. Sunny days all year round.
@@bertspeggly4428 😂
Luckily we don’t get it all in one go otherwise we’d have Government warnings of imminent death.
And we get 0 days of winter. It's usual spring/autumn weather year round.

Just 10 meters of the street :)

So many new buildings.
the map of your walk would be great - would love to repeat it. Available?
The combination of modern architecture with traditional styles hasn’t worked out very well.
Its Shoreditch guys also Liverpool street

Lol it's one of only two mega cities along with New York.
Lembra um pouco o centro do Rio de Janeiro. Rua da Assembleia, Rua do Rosario...
I wonder why the trainers are hidden under the stairs?
I wish to know that as well , kinds of strange no ?
@@londonwalktours very strange indeed, especially as they looked quite new 😀
I disagree
Wonderful video. Made me a little sad though as I hardly recognise it at all from my youth and where have all the real Londoners gone?
I left London in 2019 and come back in 2024 ... is a different world now ! From prices to demographics !!!
It would have been very helpful if there was a voice over telling us where the locations are
3.09 that is the eastern entrance to Liverpool St station
The audio is stationary. Its not real for the cideo

These "hidden" spots all seem to be in plain view. ???
Only a local will know about these hidden spots ... but I presume you're not from here .... otherwise you will know about these locations !
Hint, they aren’t really hidden. 😊
The concrete jungle
Are the trainers under the stairs the new version of trainers hanging from telephone wires???
That's what I think as well :))
Where the heck are we?

From the looks of it, it seems that the native population is becoming a minority. I like the old buildings and streets.

Places that no 'one knows about', 'unseen', 'hidden' ... all VERY CROWDED!?
