1983 25hp Evinrude long shaft outboard. I know it doesn't look like the prop is turning as it should in the video, but it is. The camera is playing tricks on me.
There are 4 or 5 holes in a row just above the cavitation plate. These are the water intake holes. You can see I had to cut the bottom of the muffs off to fit close enough to the plate.. Be sure not to rev the engine too much when running it like this or it could be damaged. Hope this helps
I see you have flushers on this motor. I have a 1984 25hp tiller handle with the same non thru hub prop. There's one small vent on one side is that where you have the flushers on your at?
Sounds good. I have the same motor, but having trouble with getting it to idle right.
