Canada finds an LGBT issue it doesn’t support

- Canada has been ahead of the curve on LGBT issues for more than 50 years. We decriminalized homosexuality before most of Europe, the United States and much of the rest of the Anglosphere. Barring Belgium and the Netherlands, we’re the first country to bring in same-sex marriage. And in 2017, we became the first country in the Western Hemisphere allowing citizens to mark their passports with a non-binary “x” instead of male or female. And all of these, once they became law, were pretty uncontroversial. So it’s notable that, after all this time, Canada appears to have run into an LGBT issue that it considers a bridge too far.

Teaching children to deceive their parents is not OK.
It’s not an LGBTQ issue. It’s a family matter that the government wants to dictate.
No adult should be encouraging minors to keep secrets from their parents. Any adult doing that is a groomer and pedophile.
Child abuse is child abuse, and should be dealt with directly, and with extreme prejudice.
The fact it's not 100% unanimous that we all agree that if a child discloses they think they're another gender and it's okay to concele that information from parents blows my mind. That's a great way to cause mental health issues don't you think?
A child CANNOT consent to anything! That is the law. You can't enter into a contract with a minor without parental consent Medical is one of those legal decisions that legally speaking has to be run through the parents unless a court deems the parents unfit.

Concealing information from parents about their children should be considered as an extremely serious criminal action, and easily be considered the same as a the charge of terrorism. With heavy consequences!!!
A child should have no say in their gender until they turn 18 and become an adult, they do not have enough life experience to know what they really are or want, once they turn 18 and become a adult then they can do whatever they want and to themselves.
I remember 40 years ago we were saying this very thing would happen and we were called crazy. Who's crazy now?

The state does not own children. Parents, at all times, have the right to know what the public institutions are imparting to their children . Parents, do not allow doctors or pychiatrists to examine your children without you present in the room. This has nothing to do with paranoia but everything to do with protecting your children from predators.
