  • Crypt Killer or Henry Explorers in Japan, is a 3 player co-op (2 player co-op for consoles) horror themed, light gun shooter released by Konami in arcades back in 1995 with console ports released for the PS1 and Saturn in 1997. However, despite the skeletons, mummies, and demons on the cover, there's an interesting twist holding this game back.

Saturn light guns are universal for all Saturn games pretty sure. I used a variety of different guns for it

See, I wondered about that but every online source wasn't specific at all.

Pretty sure they were just trying to market it as a horror game.

This game used to get voted in PS1 Magazines as one oif the worst games on PS1 I dont think its that bad myself.PS1 version worked with the Predador Light Gun like Die Hard Trillogy did. Konami games never worked with the Namco Guns on consoles even with their last one on PS2 Police 24/7. That one you can even emulate the arcade version using a USB Webcam for the reloading mechanics on it and use a USB Mouse as a pointer which is way more playable than the weird controler scheme it uses.

Yeah, I read about it's poor showing back in the day. I don't think it's as bad as they made out but I also get why it's not highly regarded.

    So... You are weak. Noted.
If anything this title needs MORE FLASHES! MORE!

@@InfiniteComboReviews So happy I could be of service. The game needs those flashes to determine where the gun is pointed and we need them to know how awesomely we are pulling the trigger, even while using a controller, like a bad ass.
I own this game for Saturn. Really the flashing is on par with Point Blank and it's ilk.

@@posthumanistpotato What's odd though is that the demo shows the non controller shots and it's like, why can't it be like that or at least give us the option to turn off the flashes.
Oh man, it's been a while since I played Point Blank.
