Had he told them the outcome may have been abit different perhaps just enough to snatch the win. That's why according to Javier, he and Khabib were surprised why in the 2nd round he kept on going for the takedowns when he could not hold Merab down but was doing well on the standup and both coaches (Khabib + Javier) were puzzled 🤔🤔🤔as to what he was doing, he was wasting energy and gassing himself out early cause they knew Merab was going to come back way stronger in the 3rd, 4th or 5th rounds and they both were puzzled. 🤔🤔🤔They told him no more takedowns just stand with him and maintain the distance on punching and kicking cause he did will standing on the 1st and 2nd round but little did they know that Umar's hand was already way busted up from the first round. I thought fights were judged on damage, not fatigue. Looked to me like Umar did way more damage than Merab, even though he was exhausted by round 3. If Merab won by split decision I wouldn't be complaining, but it feels like everyone is only remembering the last 2 rounds where Umar was tired (but never once got hurt). Is it just me?
