"As an artist and a musician, i'm not really into all those gadgets like the 'extra bass crusher tube shot mudderator' (fake laugh) or something like that. (fake laugh) You know i'm not into that at all." Cut to 3:19. Uses all of the 'extra bass crushing tube shot mudderator' gadgets...
1:39 "it leaves you with bass, mids, and treble which is all you really need". He forgot to mention his pedal board with at least 10 pedals that he is also using.....probably about 40+ knobs on the pedal board. This should have been bass + cable + AD200B + Orange cab into microphone.
I think Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick has the most awesome bass tone & sound. He also uses an Orange AD200B thru two Orange 4X12 cabinets. Also combines his sound with an Orange 50 watt guitar head with a Hiwatt & Reeves 100 watt back up amp. 👍🎸
Hey Orange, love the amp but if you ever make an AD200B MKIV. Please add an Effects loop and a Dry Blend option for the distortion. The OB1's should have a FX loop and the 4 Strokes should follow that path in my opinion.
I think he's talking about rackmount effects like Sonic Maximizers and Compressors, things which alter your overall tone, rather than actual modulation or time effects.
i play an AD200 for years, if u looking for a clean tone there better alternatives trust me this thing is build for heavy distortion overdriven fuzz sounds
Wow! That was a mixed message...One minute he talks about not needing and bass effect stomp boxes...then the next minute he's playing around with a floor filled with stomp boxes??? What the heck?!?!
come on guys everyone loves pedals ! his point of this is he doesn't like to mess with pedals to get that sound that the orange gets by itself (start there and add pedals). plus why not have different cabs for different sounds when you add pedals. We all like to change our gear we would own all of it if we had the money I would.
@@bryanleigh6497 It is valve, you aren't understanding the difference between PCB construction and point-to-point construction of an amp. The components in my all-tube Mesa Bass 400 are point-to-point. The components in the Orange are PCB-mounted.
@@bryanleigh6497 it seems the older Orange AD200B's were point-to-point. The newer ones are more cheaply made: forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?t=9654
+BlueLead1945 trust I've rearrange my board so many ways. all my coloring pedals work but not the rest like my time and modulation effects. it's really weird. I gave up and just run this head through my other head and all my effects through the effect loop in that head. I have a sunn 300t, the orange was supposed to be a back up but now I run them together.
+BlueLead1945 yeah I kinda wish I didn't buy this. I really enjoy the beefiness and growliness it produces but the clean tone doesn't exist and the issues with the pedals is extremely annoying. check out the meatsmoke, that's a killer head. should had bought that one lol
So you guys have "the guts" not put a lot of options on your amps ??? Yeah right... noting against your product or the bassist doing the demo i just think that this add is complete BS.
If he is Canadian they spelled favourite wrong. Orange amps are great but $2,500 for a one tone head is a little bit pricey. Don't get me wrong that one tone is fantastic, but too much for too little Orange. You can hear this guys effects when playing live, probably because he is a filthy liar and actually uses a bunch of effects because that one tone leaves a lot to be desired.
there is sth wrong about his pronunciation. well, maybe not pronunciation itself but the melody of the sentence and individual words... or maybe he is just a canadian :D

3:18 ....I'm loving that tone.
For whoever wants to know, the bass is a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass. (Sunburst with a rosewood board.) Great demo, by the way.
And... you forgot to say that It is an active bass
definitely going to save up for one of these bad boys! had my eye on a tiny terror but this has definitely elightened me that much more!
every review I've watched so far has been so lackadaisical, thank you for laying into your bass and letting that tone punch through
It's like he's speaking directly to me.
Never heard of his band before but I must say, he is a really good player, a real natural player too.
1:39 "it leaves you with bass, mids, and treble which is all you really need". He forgot to mention his pedal board with at least 10 pedals that he is also using.....probably about 40+ knobs on the pedal board. This should have been bass + cable + AD200B + Orange cab into microphone.

just like i said - Love orange. Orange amps have they own style in sound

You're missing the point of the amp by adding those features. It's a bare bones old school type of amp
Got one myself, best decision i've ever made.
He's a great player; I would like to try this amp out; to play old school Motown style licks; to balls out Heavy Metal.
Fucking guy can play.
As a guitar player I dont usually think to much about bass tone. This amp however sounds monstrous
I think he's talking about rackmount effects like Sonic Maximizers and Compressors, things which alter your overall tone, rather than actual modulation or time effects.
dang that amp sounds so good
Help me with a cab choice: for this amp ob810, ob410/115, or Mesa tall 412? I have an ppc412 with ev's that I'm using currently but miss the sub bass.
I wonder if he's using his Sansamp VT at 3:18.
And yea, I just checked, they're from Montreal (Quebec).
sounds clear,, nice,, why low bass seems to lag,,,,
Any pedal nerd out there willing to tell me which pedals he has on his board in this video? thx
so when he said the Tech-21 deluxe VT was the end of his quest for tone... ... well whatever you get for free i suppose
What is the last song in the video called??? Anyone know please?
He's obviously from a French speaking part in Canada, probably Quebec.
What is the name of last song?
That explains a lot !
Can this amp put out ample volume with a clean tone? I've read it gets distorted rather quickly.
i play an AD200 for years, if u looking for a clean tone there better alternatives trust me
this thing is build for heavy distortion overdriven fuzz sounds
He's using an Ampeg cab live.
How much do the 6550's run for?
whats the name of the song at 3:58
1:11 He doesn't like gadgets.
2:51 He has a board full of pedals.
Where's the VT?!?!?!
this guy is so cool
pretty sure hes playing through an Eden Cab. Doesnt say much about orange bass cabs, lol
They make shite guitar heads, great guitar cabs, and the opposite for bass 😂
This is how bass players should be
yeah i also wana know , can someone tell me plz ?
How many waaaatts does it have
Wow! That was a mixed message...One minute he talks about not needing and bass effect stomp boxes...then the next minute he's playing around with a floor filled with stomp boxes???
What the heck?!?!
i think he's talking about the amp. yeah he is
Are there any 'good' bands that endorse Orange amp's? & are there any demo's of just the amp's?
No effects.
I know this amp is GREAT. But I can´t believe a word to him...I´m sorry.
sanres=snares right?
Video Footage: Orange Head + Orange Cab
Live Footage: Orange Head + AMPEG Cab
???
Rivals my current fave: Super Bassman.

Where do they find these looney tunes to do the demos?
The way he explains it, is as if it's written by Orange... oh wait, this is the Orange amp channel...
It sounds good, but for a mass produced PCB amp it should be about half the price they sell it for.
It isn't, it's valve

yeah, he owns one
Does anyone else own this amp and have a hard time running modulation effects?
+BlueLead1945 it's odd that it won't let me play it front of amp style

He doesn't like pedals and effects at all 3:36
and an active bass
Haha you can hear the sanres shaking when he talks hahaha
Yes, my mistake ^^
He most likely just rents whatever cabinets are available.
He's not into gadgets? He did a VT Bass review where he swore by it. What a dick :P
He's better than me that's for sure....
This guy should host his own tv show.
it's called a script. he's just being paid to recite the features of the amp and big up the company. :/
charaaaacter! That's it! :)
the sound is not the bass straight into the amp.
to be honest, the type of compressor should be given.
early 90's american jazz bass. it's a "boner bass"
So you guys have "the guts" not put a lot of options on your amps ??? Yeah right... noting against your product or the bassist doing the demo i just think that this add is complete BS.
Yeah. I mean, I like how it sounds and I'm not hating on Orange or something, but this is little more than a painful endorsed artist sales pitch.

"too much WATS" hahhahaha

Dat accent.
there is sth wrong about his pronunciation. well, maybe not pronunciation itself but the melody of the sentence and individual words... or maybe he is just a canadian :D
Sure knows how to upstage a singer, huh?
Say what you guys want, but i bet he's so much better than you at bass XD
Probably just saying what gets him more cash. I wouldn't blame him.
Yeah Orange is great, but why the fuck be so melodramatic? Just be honest.
hahahahahaha its a joke!!!!
