- In the last FXR episode, I start some upgrades on the Saucy Wench, my 1984 Harley Davidson FXR with Delkron engine. And then those upgrades just opened Pandora's box and before you know it, I had the bike's top end completely removed. So here's the finale of that video showing the fixes, us working together to get it back on the road and kind of an explanation of what all I did. Got progressive suspension front and rear, new tires, new All Balls hi torque starter, new clutch plates, base gaskets, heads and rocker boxes and nose cone cover and bushing. Jeeeez we sure mashed out a bunch in a short time frame. Enjoy!

Who we are:
Old School Bikes and Old School Ways! Ride hard, wrench a lot, and always having a blast.
Bike camping, wrenching, and shenanigans. My husband and I create motorcycle content for people that are tired of seeing all of the fake insta accounts of sponsored boring yuppies.
Here's some realness, we are just broke bikers living the low life and getting by. I ride a 1985 Ironhead Chopper as my daily, my touring bike is a 1984 FXR. We have lots of Ironheads and FXRs and are constantly building more, trying to keep these old neglected scoots on the road instead of rotting away in a garage.
Appreciate all the love & support

Too cool ! This is what it's all about .
So great to see you guys working together on things. The wife and I have been doing that for over 50 years now. She is always saying "thats why We are a We" ha ha. Keep it up!
Well that tear down came away being a brand new motorcycle! Everything done to Saucy was some fabulous work and upgrades! I know she puts a big grin on your face when you ride her. Does Saucy feel like she's on a rail when you hit some twisties? I know you are a proud mama with her for sure. You and your husband make a good wrenching team and get it done the right way! Can't wait for a video with you riding her down the road and enjoying all the rewards of some hard work. Keep'em in the wind and stay safe! Peace
Appreciate it! Oh yes she got all spoiled and feels like a whole new ride!! Thanks for watching 🦅😁💚🏁
Good morning 🌅, Sally and Huby , It is great that you both have the same goal in life, and enjoying each other’s company and working together, it looks like you have been spending some pennies, FXR is a great bike, easy bike to work on, No shit electronics to work on, just pure and simple wiring, I had mine in the mid to late 90s, I did spend a lot of money on it, but at the end of the day I got a lot more money back for it when I went to trade it in for my new deuce, in 2000, keep up the great wrenching, Look forward to seeing more of you both working together, France.
Thanks for the update Sally. All happening at your shed. Enjoy Sturgis. Cheers from down under 🇦🇺 Stan.
Bike looks great, enjoy the trip. I hope the weather is better next week.
You guys are awesome lots of energy love it

New tire I see 💪💪
in the middle of the year 1984 is when they went from shovelhead to evo, yours's must have ben made in the last half of the year, i had a wide glide that had the shovel ,, one of the last ones made,, first half of year,, wish i had it back but you know how that goes,, i needed the money at the time,, and now i cry every morning as soon as i wake up, but after a few minuets, then i just get on up and greet the day...
Yes, late 84 first evo, and theres always time to get another 😁
I will look for you guys in strugis!
FXR is looking good, I was hoping you would start it.
You guys do great work. Awesome 😊
Those twinkies look like very busy motors with alot of parts. I will stick with my Ironhead...simple, easy to work on, runs Great... I really do think a properly built Ironhead is the best motor besides a Evo Sportster and 45 flathead, that HD ever built.
Show videos of the Sturgis trip and camping out there.
Nice work to see another video
That engine looks great with those new heads. Want to do top end on my 12 streetglide. I've had it from new. Around 75 k and am worried about the valve springs since new .570 lift cams done at 57k.
Cool post. Thanks for putting it out
That new tire looks awesome.
🤙😝

Hell yeah thanks for watching!
I am interested how the bike handles. Lower center of gravity should be nice.
It really is nice! I am surprised how dramatically different it handles now! Just a few inches made a big difference 😜😂🏁🦅💚
you guys are great.
wen keepin it reeeeelz g0es wr0ng!!!
🤘😂🤘
saucey!!
😘👌
HELLZZZZ YEEEEAH SEEEESTER!!!
🤘😝🤘
She brings the sauce! …i know it’s an evo still 😜😂 lol 🤘
Tell us more about the new heads please? Performance? Smoothness?Sound?
It seems to be doing fine, runs great, smooth, sounds a little different, but besides that there is not a big noticeable difference. 🦅🏁😁
Sally are those new tires the ones you got a good 👍 deal at the swap meet? Sally what’s the red band around the heads, never seen that before?(Looks good)😎Dave H
Yes! Well one of em is lol and that red band is just the middle rocker box cover that someone had powder coated red. Looks pretty slick! 😁
Did you end up putting a new 1.4 Watt starter? If so did it turn over easier? Thanks!
Got the 1.7kw All Balls hi torque starter. Turned over great! Seems like it’ll last
@@ironheadsally Good to know thanks!
Love to see you turn wrenches, would love to see you turning key. Keep the wind in your hair and the bugs out of your teeth.
How did you end up with carbon in your motor ….. just kidding😎. Enjoy your trip.
😜😂💚🦅🏁 cheers!
What’s rerouting the oil line due
On stock bikes, the oil line from the head breather is routed into the air cleaner, so its sending oil and vapor into your engine which is not good. Rerouting it to a breather will allow it to breath without sending oil into the combustion chamber
@@ironheadsally I got you. I got an 04 RK that I’d like to do this to
What make is the 2-1 exhaust?
Because the 2 pipes come together into one pipe at the end, instead of having separate pipes for the front and rear cylinder. Helps back pressure and performance, much better than just drag pipes lol
@@ironheadsally huh? I was asking what company made them
@@stevenkovacs2766 oh LoL its a lowbrow exhaust
I bet I missed it in an earlier video but.... you're Sally. "Husband" has no name? Prefers to be known as husband?
LoL yeah i guess i never said his name, he’s the curmudgeon 😜🤘
