This season, lies are uncovered and relationships are strained, but love always finds a way. Ashley and Michael have healed from their loss and are ready to work on expanding their family, but the word on the street in Potomac is that Michael has to deal with some serious allegations. Meanwhile, Monique is ready to deliver her new bundle of joy and focus on her entrepreneurial endeavors, but her husband Chris is not ready to say good-bye to his baby-making days. Karen and Ray are pushing through their troubles, while still watching everyone else with a side eye, as Karen launches one of her biggest ventures. Gizelle has a tale she wants to tell with her upcoming book launch, and she is also working on mending her friendships and revitalizing her love life. Meanwhile, love is blooming in Potomac as Candiace and Chris are knee deep in wedding planning. However, Candiace’s mother, Dorothy, has an opinion on everything, making one wonder who is actually in control. Robyn and Juan have found their groove finding their way back to each other as Robyn also works on her property investment goals. No, she is breaking down and needs help. Her mother is abusive and toxic. CANDACE is lashing out instead of directed that anger towards her mom, her love ones are the ones she taking her anger out on. I recognized the behavior because I experienced the same thing. My mom was abusive physical, verbally and mentally. It took an intervention to finally get help with my anger. I went to a therapist and got the help I needed, plus I was pregnant and scared I could treat my child like my mom treated me. I put in the work and stayed in therapy for a year. Found out I suffered from depression and all the sadness as a kid that I experienced made sense. I refuse to see my mom for years. Now we see each other frequently but I honestly don't want a close relationship. I have forgiven her, but I never will forget and I purposely kept my children away from her. I don't trust her to this day, but I love her. CANDACE needs to cut her mom off and refuse financial help from her, move, get therapy and until her mother start acting like a loving mother, she needs to stay away.

Most people would prefer that you don't bring up their mother, children, or man in heated arguments or irrelevant conversations. It's not about being childish, it's respect and boundaries. These ladies are constantly throwing Candace's mother in her face, knowing that their relationship is already strained. That is childish!

They all have had storylines involving parents. They are very hypocritical. If she was really foul, there are some rude jokes she could make about all of their parents. It's inappropriate for grown women to use other peoples family members (especially parents or children) to mock them.
KingQuaye In one way or another MOST of us act like our parents, whether good or bad. If you were raised by your parent there are certain behaviors you subconsciously learn. It’s normal psychology and development. This example was further proven with Gizelle and her father. We can see why she is so messy and shady, because her father is. Another example is Ashley. We see where she gets her lack of ambition and denial of reality to “keep a man”. She gets it from her mother who was willing to live in a tent to keep a homeless lazy man. ALL of these ladies have their ways about them. A lot of times when you see their parents, it explains their personalities perfectly. Candace will naturally display some of the behaviors of her mother until she gets counseling and becomes conscious of the years of learned behavior. Real friends don’t throw heartbreaking issues in your face during arguments.

Also, girlllll, choose your battles with that sexy hubby of yours. He is sweet, fiesty and he and he can cook.
