I alwalys had fun with this game, but as a kid i distinctly remember being mildly annoyed at the fact that the tracks had practically zero resemblance to the movie outside of tezlas cube, i was also a little annoyed that so many cars were changed, (little kid me didnt think how expensive licensing was, all i wanted was to play as taros roadrunner lol) almost makes me think this was a completely different game before one day they decided to slap the world race license on it
Me too, I also wanted to play with Taro's Roadrunner. But yeah, it's the licensing. Thankfully, I think some cars that were replaced aren't too bad tho...
this exact thing also bugged me as a kid. i dont remember if i commented or wrote an email to the developers a few years ago, but i got a reply! i was told that the game and movie were developed simultaneously and a centralized effort would have been too complicated. thats reasonable. and for what it is what we got was pretty good :)
I recently bought a GameCube and all of my childhood games to relive my memories.. and I’ve found myself playing this one so much this is such a classic man
Thankyou very much for this video mate, you drove really well on all the maps. One of my core memories from my childhood was playing this game for the last time on my ps2 before the disk corrupted or scratched to the point where it couldn't be repaired. I remember so specifically the section of emerald crater where you go up that 90 degree climb where the game froze and the ps2 never read the disk again. What emulator are you running by chance or is it a downloadable file somewhere for the pc that you use as I'd love to play again. Cheers mate and have a good one
I've never used emulator on any games that I uploaded to this channel. The game itself I think is only available to be downloaded from a few 3rd party websites. This also applies to the other games I've covered so far since they were released way back in the early 2000s. Hope this helps!
@@adxvidz.823 yeah i think it deserves a remaster in my opinion like more tracks more cars on the track instead of 6 put like 15 or 10 side challenges etc.
@@JokerGaming-iv1tm For the button combo, u just gotta see the buttom prompt on the middle top of the screen, and quickly hit the buttons without mistake. As for the twist/flip, u gotta push the joystick/d-pad to the left/right (twist) or push it to the top/bottom (flip). Hope this helps!
My best run so far. Hope u guys like my gameplay. 🔥

@@adxvidz.823yea like a couple of my favorite cars were featured in this game such as seared tuner, mst suzuka and maelstrom
We have distance and full on project remakes of the tracks. Granted shortened track versions but still cool that people are creating them.

I was too young to play this back in the day but my dad emulated it for me when I was a bit older. I wish my physical copy would still work today
yeah my cd broke too! also the only cd to ever break for seemingly no reason.

Insane how the game makes you go through every single track just to beat it and unlock them.
@@GurahkWeavile As fun as it is, sometimes it gets kinda boring ngl.
