  • KIND TV is a non-profit series devoted to bringing positive messages and shocking acts of kindness.
It's intimidating being one person wanting to make a positive difference in our world with HUGE international problems. What possibly could just one person do to help? Mother Theresa use to say, "If you can't feed a hundred people, feed just one." She was a smart woman indeed and couldn't be more correct.
We gathered those who wanted to help and together set out to help our homeless population in the Seattle area. What we didn't plan was who we'd come across at the end. Desperate, cold and all alone... or so he thought.

Kindness can go along way! Don’t listen to the people that are negative on this comment board! These people need to be treated with respect. We are all just a few checks and a few tragedies away from being in there shoes. People don’t realize how easy it can happen. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

I used to be homeless and I worked at Seattle's Union Gospel Mission for almost 10 years. If somebody came up to me when I was homeless or one of my clients doing this s***, especially with the camera I would be extremely pissed. Unless you're doing something on a daily basis this is meaningless. This is nothing but a publicity stunt to make yourself feel and look good. Ultimately this is selfish. It has nothing to do with liberals or anything like that it's just vanity. Put the camera down roll up your sleeves and do something on a regular basis if you really care. If you wouldn't have done these things without cameras then you're doing it for pure ego.

thirtythreeflavors yes we do things constantly to help. In fact our president goes out weekly with the Seattle Unions Gospel weekly with Richard. We’ve also filmed with this organization and brought hundreds of coats out to the homeless and housed others. I believe our point is being missed here. The media system hasn’t been used for positive outlooks or kindness for way too long, probably back since Mr Rogers. Instead of watching shocking acts of hate or tragedy, we’re trying to use it for the good. To encourage kindness and giving is what we’re about, not a ego trip or publicity. We don’t get paid to be kind, we’re trying to use this platform to encourage others to come together to make a difference. We always get permission prior to releasing footage of others. I hope you take the time to watch some of our other episodes I get a better sense of our mission. Wishing you the best

@@KINDTVorg I would encourage you, if you really want to encourage shocking acts of kindness, take the 'shock' out of it. Give ideas to help regularly like keeping care bags in your car, or volunteering time in July instead of just at Christmas. Leave links to organizations like DESC or UGM or the Church of Mary Magdelene who do the long haul work of sitting with people on a DAILY basis and are actually changing lives without much fanfare and little resources. Many times, when homeless people are seen being given such obvious gifts like a bright red stocking, they are mugged after sun goes down (or sooner) by another homeless person. It happened to me, it happened to friends of mine. You want to inspire people, great. Inspire people THEN SHOW THEM WHERE TO RESPONSIBLY CHANNEL THAT INSPIRATION. Sorry, but your channel, as is, is just glamour charity and rings hollow.

Wonderful video! So heartwarming! You see, I had donated 6 bags of food to our food pantry in my town, but never see the results of it... Again, so heartwarming to see people receiving what they need, especially for the holidays! MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL of you who worked on this video! God Bless!

You don't have to be rich! Find a nonprofit that helps others and volunteer. It only takes your time, and even teens can help. 😊

Our aim was to inspire our community to create their own acts of kindness. Every kind act, no matter how small, matters to the person being helped. And yes, the food and sanitary items we gave them may have only helped for a short while, but it also showed them that they weren't forgotten in a world where they are regularly ignored by passersby.
Some people think that small acts don't matter, but small acts build up to create big change. If everyone set out to do one small thing a day to help someone or our planet, the world would be a much better, kinder, and cleaner place.
We've sent a human trafficking victim to college. We've raised thousands upon thousands so a dog rescuer could continue saving abused and neglected dogs from all over the country. We've given children their dying wishes. That matters. Every story and person matters.
You also must remember that this web series is only a small part of what we do and that our team help others in many other ways that are not filmed, as we cannot film everything. Judging the entirety of a nonprofit and the people involved based on one video without further research is choosing to be ignorant about a cause and people who spend their lives helping others when many people choose to simple ignore.
