Found Family is THE best! I've always said that the best family is the one you're not born into, but the one you CHOOSE!! I've only read one of your recs, but I'm about to read another - the other 3 are on the list!
Love this Jessi! The first found family that always comes to my mind is the Weasleys from Harry Potter. I've only read Mistborn out of your list but these were already all on my TBR and have now been bumped up. :)
this is one of my favorite tropes!! also how did I not know there was going to be a third vicious book?! guess it's time for a reread. and omg wow this makes me so excited to pickup mistborn now!! I loved this video Jessi ♡
Yes to this trope! I identified most with Vin. I love her arc as she learns to trust others and make long-lasting connections. She grows to be more self-assured and courageous in the process.❤️
I love these trope so much! I love how I’ve read all of these books with the exception of The City We Became but I do want to read The Fifth Season because I did like her writing style. I love Mistborn
I love found family! I’m currently reading Seven Devils and rereading The Poppy War and they both have found families and I am living! I really need to pick up Kings of the Wyld!
I've never heard of The City We Became and that sounds so good! I started Kings of the Wyld earlier this year and had to put it down because I was in a slump, but I was really loving it and I need to get back to it!
City we became is very weird but really good. I don't recommend it being anyone's first NK jemesin book though. Kings of the Wyld is just silly fun, if you pick it back up definitely no need to take it seriously
Here I am still not having read the Poppy War !! Hahaha BUT I am reading Mistborn this month so wooooooh ! Im excited ! Great video. Definitely will try to read some of these in December.
this is one of my fav trope too and i already read all the books you mentioned and love them all 😍😍 i also want to recommend “Blood Of An Exile” by Brian Naslund, it’s an epic fantasy with alot of dragons & of course FOUND FAMILY ❤️
Some other good found family books are Red Rising by Pierce Brown (Howlers are my favorite), Crossbreed by Dannika Dark, Tainted Accords by Kelly St. Clare, Renegades by Marissa Meyer, Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, & The Wilds by Donna Augustine
@@TheBookishMom Red Rising is my favorite series. It's a combo of Hunger Games & the Starz show Spartacus (minus the smut) in an Elon Musk inspired future. When you read it, if you have a hard time getting through the first book, because it does have a slow period, just push through it because it is beyond worth it. And when it picks up, hold on tight because it doesn't slow back down after that.
I hate you for making me say "Brando Sando." But I don't hate you for it at the same time. But I can't not call him Brando Sando not so I'll credit you for it when I can but it's going to start slipping out of my mouth.

I totally agree! AND YES!!!! Read all of them and then tell me all your feelings!!!

I cant wait to hear what you think!

Love that classic rock! Green Day 😂😂😭
Found family is such a good trope!! The Cike is the best 🖤
Green Day is classic rock now and my OLD self is sad!
One of the best tropes!! Now I have to pick up The City We Became! It would be my first Jemisin.
It's a very strange book but I loved it! Jemisin is a very love her style or hate it type author too
Here I am still not having read the Poppy War !! Hahaha BUT I am reading Mistborn this month so wooooooh ! Im excited ! Great video. Definitely will try to read some of these in December.

Dragons and found family? I am SOLD!
I’ve had Mistborn recommended to me so many times. It’s definitely going to be on my list of books to read in the new year.
Its SO GOOD! Let me know what you think once you get to it
@@TheBookishMom I definitely will!
Ahh vicious just looks incredible! I’ve been trying to get mistborn for a while!
Vicious is fantastic, and Mistborn will always be a favorite of mine!

@@natsbookshelf 🤣🤣 I think you'll love them both!
Is there three books in the Kings of the Wyld or is there only going to be two of them?
There will be 3!
Everyone needs to stop making me want to read Poppy War for the next two weeks 😂😂 the sounds like a good list, and I haven't read any of them 😂
Other than Mistborn of course
All of them are fantastic, but Poppy War may be my favorite!
I hate you for making me say "Brando Sando." But I don't hate you for it at the same time. But I can't not call him Brando Sando not so I'll credit you for it when I can but it's going to start slipping out of my mouth.

@@TheBookishMom I mean I can't unhear how perfect it is.
