Back in the day the place to go for BBQ was Kom Tang Soot Bul Kalbi. It was the only charcoal restaurant left. They occupied an entire building with 4 floors of dining space. I am fortunate to have been introduced by a special friend. 👍🏼
Couldn't find Kom Tang... but if you're ever in LA, definitely stop by Soot Bull Jeep if you're looking for that old fashioned charcoal grill. There are plenty of places in LA KTown like that!
@foodalleychannel You are lucky, NYC doesn't have the old school restaurants now. When I need my charcoal Kalbi & Bulgogi fix I just set it up at home. Kom Tang closed year ago unfortunately 😕
In this video he talks about korea town at 32nd Street in MANHATTAN and I have been in that area and it's only one block and I went to a KOREAN BUFFET, it's OK,but if you go to 74th street off Roosevelt avenue there's a lot of KOREAN restaurants and they are not cheap, rather very expensive and not worth the time and trip and I rather make my own KOREAN food and if you go to WOODSIDE QUEENS there's a KOREAN market where they sell a lot of different KIM-CHEE,and they also have a KOREAN restaurant at ROOSEVELT AVENUE and Broadway it's OK, but it doesn't represent value but the area is very busy with MACYS at 34th and 6th Avenue and at 32nd and 6th Avenue you have a mini mall,I know the area very well with PENN station down the road.
he already mentioned it was just one block at the start of the vid 0:28 also for just one block it has many things there’s Koreans clubs,Korean karaokes, kbbq restaurants, hmart Korean market, Korean cafes, Korean barbers ect anyways New Jersey has koreatowns that are way bigger and are also worth going too if your in the west coast
Really nice video and audio 🙌🏻🙌🏻.. keep it up

Anyone know a place to stay directly in Koreatown. Just a room is fine!!!
