The way her eyes subtly dart around in a confused, almost vacant way somewhat reminds me of what you see in people with dementia, or other similar conditions, and i feel like thats intentional. Her struggling to recognize / remember things, having to carefully consider where she really is at the current moment, and stuck in a momentary state of confusion and self-doubt. Its super emotional. And when you think back to the other trailer and remember how she seems to spend alot of time with the elderly, it hits even harder. What a beautiful, emotionally packed video this is. Extremely powerful.

Sure we don't know exactly when or how much time has passed since she was human... but it seems that it was very long time ago.. maybe even before the hollows appears... Qingyi music video is definitely the absolute best 2D animation trailer miHoYo has ever done so far, it should be awarded or something, it's spectacular and brilliant. It's information dense and emotion dense, it goes deep into the character and reveals a lot while also not revealing anything, it creates this sense of wonder and overwhelming curiosity. The ending with Zhuyuan handing her the tie and she cherishing it, it's so abstract and full of meaning. I really wish they did a long version of this, this reminds me so much of Studio Ghibli and Studio 4C, a 30 minutes version of this story would slap so hard Also "past QIngyi" drip is astounding, she looks SO GOOD, the expressions of "tiredness", "depression", the fake smile while she's planning to run away. Everything about this music video is fantastic, the singing, the orchestra, the brilliant usage of chinese opera, the lyrics, I literally wish I knew mandarin to fully appreciate this music video.

Fan service make the game worth it even more, since live service is a long game. So in my pov, trailer not only there to sell new character.
