Loved the story. I got interested in Martins when I was a small boy because my Granddad planted gourds for Martin house and raised many a Martin. I always enjoyed the birds. When I got older I started my own nestings. I entire family enjoys coming over to the house to see and mostly to hear the Martins. My dog Lola likes them too. She loves to jump in the air to try to catch one. Never gets close. They play with her too, by dive bombing her, then brake and run. Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.
Thank you for the information.my friend a has been trying for 4 years to attract purple martin and they finally showed up.first 1 female & 1 male.as of yesterday 6-1-19 he had 2 males perched on the top & 1 female.according to your video ,there are more than likely more on the way.he tried natural gords for 2 years then switched to the type you have .is there a noticeable difference in the insect population on your property?thank you.
