    This is about the best video I have seen so far to solve these type of questions. Hats off to you sir

    I think as a GCSE student, this is very complicated. We can still get to step 7 more easily if we decide to substitute algebra rather than terms that aren't mentioned in our GCSEs.

      that's also what I was wondering too. but I'm a bit confused about how you could input algebra into the slots instead of these terms? could you elaborate please :))

      yeah I saw this on as maths booklet ( a level) is it is quite difficult for GCSE. the exam board must be quite hard

      That’s what I’m doing…. We just use Lamda and Mew for vectors since we use them to do this type of questions.

    Does anyone know why he times the -7m/10 by -10/7 I’m kinda stuck on step 7

      To get mew on its own you times -1 by 10 to get rid of fraction and divide by -7 which is the same as multiplying -1 times -10/7

    why is AN only equal to muAP and not muAP+PN

    • @pommeno.2785
      @pommeno.2785 2 года назад

      I think it’s cause they are parallel vectors, meaning that one can simply be expressed with another*coefficient

    • @sf_0160
      @sf_0160 2 года назад +2

      AN and AP are (parallel) but different lengths, so from logic we know there is an unknown variable that can relate one to another, for example if AN is 10 metres long, and AP is 5 metres long, this formula is correct "AP = 0.5 (AN)"
      And in the case of AN the unknown variable will be larger number since it is bigger than AP, so the "mu" part accounts for the +PN part

    Your mu should also be 4/7 why did you get 10/7

    OM=OB+BM that should be (b+1/2 a) not ((a+b)/2)

    your solution, or rather all solutions to vector geometry problems, looks so random

      I know your getting confused on the part when he says landor and mune or something those are just like symbols that you need to work out for. we cant put letters because vector geometry is basically made out of letters xD

      lambda and mew are just unknowns
