Hi, thanks for all this info. I’m currently in my final year of uni, however I don’t actually have formal work experience, mainly just informal. Do you think it’s still possible for me to apply to this program cause I really want to work abroad.
Hi Micha, Thank you for watching my videos - My best advise is to try and get a part time job while you are still at Uni to get a little experience - It goes a long way - The great news is when you arrive at your first country club you will get training and learn all about how the country club would like things to be done. I think its still possible to get the job - but the recruitment company may suggest the same as I am about getting a little job for the experience. I wish you all the best let me know how it all goes once you graduate.
Hi I got an email from work away that they will schedule an interview for me they asked lf l send them my CV and other documents, is this a good sign does it mean I will really be called in for an interview? Another thing I don't have my passport yet will it be a problem If I don't have one yet
Hi Benni, that is super exciting. It is a positive sign that they have asked for your CV and other documents. I’d say go and get your passport processed as soon as you can before they ask for it. The Banks in SA do it so quickly these days that within 2 weeks you will have it. Make your appointment this week if you can and get it done. So you don’t have to stress about it and you can tell them that it’s being processed. I wish you all the best of luck. I’m so excited for you. Please keep me posted. 🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing really valuable information thanks dear but one question I understand you need to be a certain age to go work abroad as I was listening to some few other video’s, can you perhaps guide us on that please cuz I really wanna go work abroad or on the Cruiser Ships and still trying my luck any links for work on ships cuz most one’s I’ve browsing was scams ( my qualifications is Nail Technician & Beauty Therapy) and yes also a Secretarial course
Hi Francis, Thank you so much for watching my videos and for your questions. So when it comes to the cruise liners most of the time you need to be 21years old. There are so many reputable recruitment companies out there here are 2 I know of for nail techs as well as other companies that recruit for many other departments. A small tip I can offer - Look at cruise liner websites in most cases they will have a career section and will advise on who their recruiting partners are for different parts of the world. That way you know it will be legit. Here are some that i have heard of and know people that have been hired through these companies facebook.com/SteinerJobs/ www.livnordic.com/cruise-ship-spa/ Other companies that recruit for many other departments from South Africa www.cruisealternatives.com/ waitred.co.za/ cruisejobssouthafrica.co.za/ Good Luck!
Hey new subbie I just watched all of your videos same time absolutely love your content♥️keep it up I would like u to help me to apply for international jobs I've tried workaway but unfortunately I couldn't go through
Hi Simamkele, I'm so sorry to hear that you weren't able to get through - working abroad is extremely competitive - you have to keep trying and keep applying - Jazz up your CV and really make yourself stand out in a good way. It also helps to have experience in the same field. There is also 2 other recruitment agencies you could try out. www.petrinagroup.com/ mtlint.com/ I wish you all the best. Good Luck.
Savour The Moment Hello, I had an interview with PGI, but I am a little bit worried because I do not know If I passed the interview or not, I did not receive any answer. Do you have any advice for me please?
Hi Aleyda😇 Firstly congratulations on getting an interview - that alone is a massive achievement. 🥳 If there has been a long time between interviews and feedback - I feel like there is no harm in sending a follow up email to find out where you stand? A good question to ask in an interview is always to find out when you will get feedback and find out who would be the best person to communicate with. Please let me know how it all goes.
Hi Prudence, Thank you for watching my Vlog. So this is a tricky question - With some recruiting agencies in my experience there is an age limit - However, sometimes being hired privately is a lot more lenient when it comes to age. With that said - after 15 years of corporate experience, finding a job in hospitality, like being a waiter or bartender may be challenging. These are the main positions that you would be working as an H2B visa holder. My philosophy is to take the chance anyway - anything is possible in this life and the worst that can be said is no. Something else to consider is looking into an industry where there is better growth opportunity, working on the ships may be better suited as there are so many incredible roles that could be better suited to your skillset, or looking into jobs internationally that you could be hired for based on your experience. I wish you all the best and hope you find an opportunity that makes you happy.

Hi there! Do you mind me asking exactly what questions they asked you in the US embassy appointment? Also did you have to bring other supporting documents besides what's mentioned on the appointment instructions page? It doesn't mention that you need to bring your offer letter to the appointment, or any proof of bank statements or ties to SA etc? What did you bring exactly? Thank you!!
Hi Kirstin, Thank you for your question. 😊 The best advice I can give is to have as many supporting documents as possible. This is because you might be asked to provide them in the interview. Typical questions will be 1)have you done this work before 2)where will you be working 3) what is the duration of your stay 4) what part of the US will you be living and working 5)do you have proof of ties you South Africa Paperwork I took, proof of residence, my CV, Offer letter,DS-160, I-797 form, the WAC receipt form, printout of appointment page, receipt of payment & previous passports with US visas in them. The most important thing is that you have everything you need and you know and understand all your info and supporting documents. PS. they will only ask for specific documents in the interview - so don’t hand everything over - If they require more they will ask for it. Just have all your documents easy to access. Wishing you all the best! Let me know how it goes and when you are coming to the USA😊
