Where exactly do you attach the handles? how many stitches are there between the stitch markers?

between stitch markers 16 stitches. so I attach the handles in to 16 stitches. [on both sides 39 st]

the lap closing line is terrible! you have to use the invisible closure!

well, if u wanna add zipper you have to crochet around the zipper then sew it on to the bag.
