This review highlights some of the beef I still have w glossier. I LOVE them but they still mostly cater to people with much lighter skin and have few options for deeper tones 🤨. Also I wish these were like in pots or sticks like Mac paint pots or Laura mercier...
I'm south asian toned, at like an NW40 in Mac and it shows up heaps on me, especially the terracotta and brown tones.
I’ve tried both Lawn and Terra for my medium neutral complexion. It works for me when I use an angled fluffy eye brush to diffuse the look on the middle to outer corners of the eye. I just take my pinky finger and apply that to the inner.

😂😂of course. I bought echo, pebble, lawn, and pool because I have a bunch of shadows in similar shades to the others. Yes they are definitely tricky to work with. I've been using Echo the most but with some really moisturized lids. And a lot of speed.

I have Echo, Lawn, Pool and Palm ❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE them all, but echo definitely have me the most trouble. I recommend using that shade on a VERY moisturized lid, or as a liner. I've been using Echo as a liner with a little angled brush and it's beautiful! Especially when combined with Pool! That combo looks so gorgeous on my blue eyes 💙😍

they all look so amazing on you!!!!!!! but yeah....i had the same issues with them being patchy and the color just not blending as well. i got pool and terra but found them so much harder to use than the lidstars. glad i wasn't the only one!

i got echo and lawn bc i loved the unique colors and i totally agree!! They r super hard to work with esp echo but i rlly like the idea of layering an eye gloss... might try that!
Incase these are water based like ilia the way I've found works best is to put a swip, put tip of finger under a small stream from the tap and you have a little more blend time. I try to stay close to the lid and use a dense crease brush to dab blend out

Even though it defeats the whole purpose of glossier being natural on the go and apply with your fingers, but I think the sky washes blend better with a brush

Thanks for the review. I have been interested in these, but I am hesitant, especially because it doesn't sound like you get much for the price. I just really like a one-and-done kind of eye look. These seem like they'd be perfect. The colors aren't great for me. I have light, cool-toned skin. I feel like Pebble won't even show up that much on me. The warm colors won't look good. And Echo would be too dark, and it seems like it's hard to work with. So IDK. Maybe I will hold off and see if they come out with some cooler colors.
