Thank you for capturing this. Not lost on me is that Andy’s mom passed away last summer mid tour & this was his first hometown show since her passing.
there was something really moving about how he just kept powering through. He honored his friend and then just kept singing while actively crying which seems pretty difficult. No pauses or cutting songs short. Always so professional, and i love that he felt comfortable sharing his loss. Feels like something that he wouldn’t have done even a few years back.
Andy comforting Patrick was such a sweet moment, poor Patrick, his beautiful heart is breaking 😭
his strength to continue performing after being so vulnerable in front of an entire arena is something I admire so much, I couldn’t imagine. same with Andy missing only a show or two last year dealing with the loss of his mother
:( so much love to them. their friendship is so lovely and it’s relieving that they have each other! Such a beautiful tribute. Casey sounds like a beautiful soul, and someone that we have to thank for shaping the patrick we see on stage today ❣️ clearly an incredible impact on so many people, rest in peace. hope they all take it easy and rest well as this leg of the tour comes to an end
Casey was an a beautiful soul who made music from the soul. Black excellence
thank you patrick for being you
❤️🔥🙏 Back in 1991, I 'mentored' a 4 piece Jazz/Reggae band. They're ages ranged from 13-15. The instrument were Drums, Bass, Keyboards and Saxophone. Casey Benjamin was the 15 yr. old Sax player. This whole week, I've been 'out of it', but I needed to see this clip....I'm in tears right now. 🙏❤️🔥
I am absolutely heartbroken for him, what a fool believes is one of my favorite songs in the world
Bless him for opening up like that. He’s so brave and gracious. Thank you Patrick for letting us get to know Casey even a little bit.
And thank you for sharing the video, so we could all witness it and remember ❤️
Beautiful words, echoing my heart. I will now know and remember Casey Benjamin too. 🙏
Casey is proud of you he's looking down and smiling at his friend
My heart fucking broke when he started playing what a catch donnie
I was crying as he was crying, and then Hurley came out and hugged him and that was it. ❤ Highlight of the show.
Casey was such a legend. I cried like a baby when I found out he died. I’m glad Patrick could get out all of his emotions in such a powerful and meaningful way. Rest in power Casey ❤️❤️
Anyone else cry a bit while watching this?
I was there that night. I was shocked and heartbroken that he started to cry. I loved that he adored his friend and dedicated “spotlight” to Casey. ❤❤❤❤
Chicago loves you Patrick! ❤❤❤
Patrick is such a shining beacon of a human being. These two fall out boy songs I've cried to and felt comforted by so many times...to feel trusted as a fan by him so much that he feels comfortable being so raw and vulnerable is honestly an honor and privilege. The love and comrades these men have for each other is so pure and evident. Sending so much love and healing vibes to Patrick and all those feeling the loss of Casey Benjamin 💜
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. And thanks to Patrick for being so vulnerable with us.
Patrick is so real and genuine. It was such a special moment, with Andy’s hug and the embrace between those two making it something truly memorable during a very difficult time for Patrick.
Sorry for your loss Patrick. He is smiling down at you now ❤❤
Musicians are amazing as they keep going through the sadness.
HUGE respect to Patrick for talking an showing emotions on stage, even though he tried to hold them back!! So sorry for his lost!! Its healthy to show emotions and so awsome to see and feel the comfort he reserves from fans and bandmates❤
I cried during this part the ladies next to us were almost sobbing they said they were huge fans of Casey's music and this song just broke them
This was a fantastic show! I'm so thankful I got to witness this live. This dedication set was beautiful, we all had tears. This happened to be my sons first concert, and I think this will stick with him forever. Thank you for capturing this video for those of us that were a little father back in the crowd 😅
That’s a GREAT first concert for your son! I also just posted a longer video of the show, if you want to check it out.
Thanks Patrick, my 18 yr old daughter bought the tickets and when you did ' fool believes ' and i knew the lyrics she was stunned. Spotlight was Awesome. Be proud of yourself and keeps on having fun, being able to feel is the best fun of all, you made casey proud.
So Sorry Patrick, we love ya man RIP Casey
That was so incredible to witness last night. Beautiful moment. I can't stop re-watching this clip
How sweet for a good person to do this for a friend 🧡
Saw this live. Incredible performance from Patrick.
Thank you for sharing this I went to high school with Casey he was an amazing musician and a great friend with an infectious smile.. his funeral was yesterday it’s beautiful to see how many people he connected with by just sharing his gift. S.I.P Casey 🕊️
I don’t cry when other people cry what the heck is happening🥺😭😭
All I can say is Patrick, you are a class act my friend.
Sending my love to patrick❤❤
I’m so glad I got to experience this live and really feel it
This was such an emotional moment and you could feel in the arena. I knew it’d hit me later, and sure enough! Just crying at my little screen.
this was just absolutely heartbreaking and moving. I’m so glad to been able to have watched this live on stream, and thank you so much for recording and sharing this.
Patrick we love you so much. Casey definitely heard you last night ❤️
Just breaking down and crying with Patrick just watching him get choked up and singing. I often cope by strategically picking songs to sing to, and I've had this moment so many times in my car. Watching Patrick go through it live...in a stadium... acoustically. It speaks volumes for how much Casey taught him and how much he meant to him. I hope Patrick is getting some good rest right now.
Thank you for capturing this moment and sharing it.
Thank you for capturing such a beautiful, vulnerable Patrick moment. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much watching any Fall Out Boy related thing as I did watching that. So incredibly proud of Patrick too! X
i'm so proud of him , i always will be .
When you get to see this vulnerability on stage it is beautiful. Patrick is such an inspiration.
This is just so touching❤ losing a loved one is never easy so i feel patrick in this. I see how close him and casey were and he just gives his heart out. And the fact that he was in tears and still decided to keep singing is also smth i admire in him, i cant imagine how difficult it must have been for him. The part with andy also rlly touched my heart as he didnt play at a few shows due to his moms death😭 casey sounds like a amazing person, he has supported patrick a lot and made him into the pat we now know and love
Patrick is the absolute man. Gentle soul.
It's enough to make a grown man cry. Rest in peace, Casey.
casey really put the " soul " in " soul punk "
Thanks so much for recording and posting this. Seeing this live was so powerful. I'm grateful to be able to rewatch ❤
