Because of you, Steve, I have bought the penguin classic Spiderman collection and am working my way through it! I’m 56 and never really read comic books….but I’m enjoying it so far! Should I get Captain America next?
Dr. Strange _Into Shamballa_ is my touchstone. I still consider Dan Green's art as top tier, simply gorgeous and spookier than the usual standard fare.
I'm so glad to hear you stick up for Stan Lee's invaluable contribution to the Marvel Age of comics. While it might be true that Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko didn't get the credit they deserved at the time, and that Lee, as the public face of Marvel, hogged the limelight, that critical consensus has gone WAY too far in the other direction, to the point where many fans seem to resent, even hate, Stan Lee. A rebalancing of that critical consensus is long overdue.
I am doing something similar, reading everything from Marvel from the 1960s -1992. For me, that is the Marvel era that I love. Even the worst Marvel stories are still better than reading DC comics. I also collect all the earlier comics from Timely and Atlas.
Mr.Donogue, we need more DC in these comic centric videos. I'd accept even Dynamite comics on here over Marvel. Politely kick some ass so this is made the norm.
Hi Steve. You recently stated that you really liked art by Ron Garney, So you may or may not have read a few titles by Jason Aaron and Ron Garney, and I really enjoyed them a lot. One of them is Men of Wrath, with awesome, awesome covers by Alex Ross. I recommend this 5 issue series. Another series is by Aaron and Garney on Wolverine . The third is from the ultimate universe, and that is Captain America. I enjoyed this series, but Aaron made Cap an arrogant and somewhat unlikable character, but art by Garney is spot on. And the story was absolutely nuts. Also recommended. So, hopefully, you'll check out these titles, and hopefully, you might do an epic comicbook Wednesday review. 🤘🏻😁
At least he can skip X-Men 67-92.

I'd go with the Fantastic Four, but there's LOTS of good stuff in the long Captain America run!
He's leaving out some of Marvel's best comics -- Ghost Rider, Tomb of Dracula, and House of Frankenstein, just to name a few.
You and Michael K Vaughan are my two favorite RUclips channels.

Another great roast, thank you for the laughter and brightening my day. I think the masterplan may out live us all, Roger will pencil more in.

absolutely diabolical of you to do 6 installments of the 100 greatest books series and then just stop
