Is it bad that now I want to smell some of those to understand why you think they are tacky? 😂 No idea how people can be offended because of this video! You aren't saying people are tacky, just how they smell in your opinion. None of us have to be forced to hide our distaste for something even if others like it. In order to think, we have to risk being offensive; freedom of speech is way too blocked by political correctness and hypersensitivity these days. My mother despises some of my perfumes and I still like to hear her opinion. These videos are incredibly entertaining and I appreciate them! Keep them coming 🔥
EXACTLY!!! Thank you so much for understanding me - people are being so childish! I never said anyone was tacky, just the perfumes themselves! You’re amazing. Thank you beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Carolina Rosa Ikr?! All Demi or any reviewer has to say that “IT’S Sugary” and I’m good. Gourmands are one great! But going around feeling like I just sprayed liquid granulated sugar on me....👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
honestly, my pet hate is when people claim their freedom of speech is in danger when it really isn't. RUclips is not going to take this down; Demi is free to give her opinion. In the same way, people are allowed to think differently to her and disagree with her. (coming from someone who detests all of these perfumes lol)
Fiona Earp That is formally correct. But I never said people weren’t free to give their opinion. 😂 My point was taking offence in content like this or someone’s opinion and that behaviour having an impact on what content creators post and being less genuine because of backlash. The fact that you confused my point of taking offence with disagreeing is actually very telling... because that’s not the same thing at all. The problem is that a lot of people seek content creators to validate their opinion and get frustrated or offended when they cannot find such validation. Just look at the amount of dislikes. Even when I don’t agree with what people say I give it a like, only dislike if it’s offensive... it makes it seem like she made some awful bad video and that’s not the case. When people take offence to minor stuff like these videos even though the creators can technically post whatever they want, their freedom of speech is materially limited because of fear of petty backlash like this. And that is why you will find that we cannot live without disclaimers taking up 2-5 minutes of each video that is even slightly controversial. Political correctness and hypersensitivity is actually a thing and I cannot comprehend why is such a pet peeve of yours when others acknowledge it.
Honestly, I wear fragrances whether they smell tacky, or expensive. I wear Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy because, it's smells like my favourite shampoo when I was little and it's linked to great memories. There is no shame in that. Wear whatever you like!!!
could just be me , but Ive noticed that Jeremy's sexy fragrances for women are mostly sweet perfumes, and it seems like Demi prefers floral over sweet? Maybe its a mental association too idk. it is the same for me, sugary/sweet perfumes do smell tacky (although some smell good when paired with florals/greens etc) but I understand men's appeal for sweet scents on women
I have always found it so fascinating how subjective fragrance is! Most of the perfumes that are usually labeled as “cheap” actually appeal to me more because that typically means they are lighter, fresher, or sweeter. The “classy” perfumes that are often recommended smell too mature and heavy like I’m going to choke someone out no matter how little I put on. Definitely not practical for my everyday lifestyle. Just goes to show how different everyone’s noses are!
@@giethelsamonte7962 Oh my. There’s so many I could name! YSL Mon Paris, Chanel Eau Tendre, Nest Wild Poppy, Dior Absolutely Blooming, and MJ Daisy Eau So Fresh have been consistent favorites of mine. More recently I’ve been on a lychee/rose kick and have been reaching for Killian After Sunset and Mugler Angel Nova. I know Delina technically falls into this category too, but it’s an example of a “more sophisticated” one that’s little much for my nose.
@@annikal2782 I’ve found that the best classy scents that don’t necessarily cost an arm and a leg are the rarer single notes that you can blend together on your own. For example, I think good-quality sandalwood and amber smell amazing on their own, but even better when mixed together. Both are respected notes in perfumery, and are pretty fail-proof. They aren’t cheap, but not so out of reach, either. 😊
I don’t ever own these perfumes .. 🤣 but my gf says my perfume smell like old lady 😿 I like fragrances like J’adore EDT in Joy, Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber, Replica Beach Walk, Lazy Sunday, Flower Market ( I love replica by Maison Margiela perfumes)
Yeah, I have a feeling some of these simply have bad associations with her, since if some respected niche brand came up with something similar, she would judge it differently 😁
Could be an association as well. To me Atomic Rose by Initio smells tacky because it reminds me of a Glade candle but many people think it’s “classy” just bc it’s expensive. Psychology, price and fragrance house have a lot too do with what we consider tacky/classy, not just the scent.
Depends on what one defines as tacky. I own Black Opium since its release. I’m on my 3th bottle now. Sure, I also own other perfumes - Narciso Rodriguez, Lancome, Chloe , Boss. However Black Opium Is the one that gives me the most compliments, not only men do it. Many women seem to like it as well and I personally bought it because I smelled it on one of my coworkers. It’s sweet but it’s also floral and I personally wear it to work, not only in colder months but when I feel like wearing it 🤷🏻♀️. It’s very uplifting, joyful. I wouldn’t necessarily wear it if I knew I’m going to be in a meeting room all day, but it’s not a perfume with a huge projection so I’m not concerned that it will offend anyone. I appreciate Demi’s reviews and I have bought perfumes based on her recommendation, but at the end of the day perfumes are a personal choice and we should all wear what we like most 🤗
@@wc3302 everyone who entered my office today asked what I was wearing, I always get compliments on Black Opium and I completely agree with your comment.
I smelled black opium on a cold day in the north west and it was rich and intoxicating and sophisticated, unless they changed the formula from 2016 I didn’t smell tackiness 😊 but we all smell things differently, maybe she associates it with something she experienced that was tacky, I didn’t buy black opium though, I prefer poison girl the perfume version better! To me it was sweeter and I just like the scent better 💜
No I don't think so. Demi is just giving her opinion. Jeremy has his own likes/dislikes and opinions on perfumes. She has a own. I get where she is coming from. She has good taste in perfumes. Further everyone has their own opinion on perfumes and whether it is worth buying it or not.
I understand this is your opinion but your opinion is saying that some peoples favorite, ride or die perfumes make them smell tacky. Nobody wants to hear someone say "you smell tacky because of the perfume you wear". Perfumes smell totally different on people. It can smell "tacky" on you but on someone else it can smell exquisite. I love watching your videos but this is one I would I have to disagree on, but thats just my opinion lol
@Aleksandra Ananović and to answer you question she did not mention my favortie perfume, I just think differently. I don't want people who wear these or are their favorites to feel as though their taste is tacky. Plain and simple 😊
@@dante2595 this is no hate to her what so ever! I love watching her videos and have bought many of her recommendations, I just wished it was delivered a bit more different, maybe like "popular fragrances I don't like" I will definitely continue watching her. Please understand that the same way it was just her opinion this is my opinion 😊
These are tacky though. Just by being so overused as they are, makes them tacky by default. If you choose something 99% people choose, it means you have no individuality. Isn’t it refreshing when people call things for what they are? Tacky is tacky. Can we please, please stop this political correctness policing. Can we finally get real. If someone chooses to be offended, it’s their choice. People should be free to express whichever way they feel about things as long as it’s legal. Tacky is not even a rude or offensive term.
I thought the exact same thing! I see most of Jeremy's content on IG, and he's been reviewing / discussing Britney Spears and Pink Sugar in the last few weeks.
Bright crystal and viva la juicy are my most complimented smells especially by men!!!I truly think it depends how it mixes with someone’s natural smell- that’s why it’s different for everyone- the person wearing it or the person smelling it.
i wear Versace bright crystal and it doesn’t make me spell tacky at all? are you sure it isn’t just how it spells on your skin. for me it makes me smell very expensive and I get compliments on how i smell all the time.
I dig pink sugar for layering! Since it just smells like sugar and is so simple, it just makes any fragrance put on top of it a bit sweeter. Definitely still has a place in my collection for that reason!
@@strawberryfields81 layer with it anything that contains coffee and chocolate notes soo good. I layer some times with black opium it lasted quite long and smells devine especially now in this season
They used to make an amazing Chocolate scent that was discontinued Choco-lover it was gorgeous after about an hour deep musk and pure chocolate don't understand why they the discontinued it. I layer Aqualina Pink Sugar with Bruno Fazzolari UmmaGumma a soft spritz of the Pink Sugar with a touch of the UmmaGumma pure magic.
Vivala Juicy ( Gold)is my all time fav & My signature scent! Whenever I wear this,I get so many compliments & ask me what I’m wearing ! Elie Saab Girl of now is my recently fav scent ! They smell so incredible ❤️
I like these kind of videos even if it's "controversial." You mentioned a number of "good" affordable fragrances at the end but it would be fun to see a whole video from you with your favorite inexpensive fragrances. Have a fabulous day, lovely!!! ❤️❤️❤️
You say that there are better perfumes than those, that are less expensive, can you make a video where you give an alternative for each perfume stated?
Yesterday watching perfume videos came across some Affordable Recommendations vid from your channel and Pink Sugar and Juicy Couture were there, so it's ok changing taste, but it sounds strange saying "Would Never Recommend... Ever" Cause yes, u did. 😁
For me the bottomline is that perfume choices, likes, dislikes, etc are all subjective. Tacky to one, endearing and memorable to another.. And as another viewer stated, even noses change over time, which I agree.
Normally fragrances get tied to a memory. Not hating on your choice to dislike these fragrances but it seems like most of them are either super cheapies with very synthetic formulas or are just attached to a bad memory for you. I personally have started disliking so many fragrances because they are attached to a bad memory. Also it would’ve been a better video if you had suggested alternatives to mentioned fragrances. Love your vids in general and I love how you justify your comments on frags in general but you just went to town on these fragrances for being either a) a cheapie or b) just too sweet/synthetic.
Demi is being candid. She's discussing her opinions of the quality of these fragrances. It's possible she has bad memories of some of them, but what she says here is honest and it's true. You can find much nicer, higher quality fragrances in the same price range.
Lovaloo that’s why I said It would have been a better video if she had recommended alternative fragrances for each one that is either of a similar category (I.e. sweet or gourmand or fresh) or basically in her opinion what would be a better fragrance in the same budget. Like while its easy to hate on aqualina or Versace Bright crystal, finding a good fragrance for 20$ is tough. You’ll rarely get niche or even average designer quality in those prices.
@@ojaspadekar659 She's done videos on her favorite budget fragrances for women in the past & she mentioned a few of them in the video. Agent Provacateur Fatale Intense, Shiseido Zen, Alaia by Azzedine Alaia, Elizabeth Arden has a few she likes, Sarah Jessica Parker's celeb fragrances, Ariana Grande's celeb fragrances, Rihanna has a few, Sofia Vergara has a couple.
@@champhugeballs1562 I'm not someone who loves fruity florals so I couldn't give you a cheapie option in the same fragrance genre. However, Elizabeth and James has a peony fragrance called Nirvana White that is less expensive and much nicer than Versace Bright Crystal.
💯 agreed. As your fragrance nose matures so does your taste. Unfortunately, once you get your nose on niche, it's hard to go back. I would suggest buying 2 or 3 very good quality perfumes rather than a bunch of synthetic smelling cheapies.
Guys, each nose is unique. So there is no bad or good perfumes. There is perfumes that YOU LIKE😃 It's like with a men. Somebody likes brunette and somebody likes blonde. Different people, different tastes. For example, I have my list of " awful " perfumes, but someone may loves them
I was with you right up until until you said Britney Spears 🤣 I really enjoy Private Show and have not (yet) been able to find another fragrance that comes close to that dulce de leche and coffee vibe. I love that it’s sweet/creamy/rich without being fruity or woody or powdery or smokey. Just a straight up delicious gourmand! So I’d say I’m with you about 95% 😂💖
Apparently the first Shawn mendes perfume is very similar to it . I was looking for it but they only had the second release which doesn’t . But they DID have private show .. 1oz for $10 I snatched up two
I don't understand WHY YOU PEOPLE GET OFFENDED?? Like, what's wrong with you? It's just HER OPINION! It's HER channel and her opinion , she doesn't insult anyone, relax! What's that hyper-sensitivity nowadays with everything? Like we all her followers know, she used to wear and like half (at least) of all these perfumes she mentioned she doesn't hide it. But our taste changes with time and it's totally understandable and logical. We grow up eventually, we don't wanna smell like burnt candied sugar with rasberries on top(sorry not sorry if I am offending you). We wanna smell more classy. And classy or elegant smelling, doesn't necessary means a 450$ perfume as many of you think, okay? And, I, used to own Black Opium too, years ago. But surprise, surprise, my taste changed for the better. Demi, lots of love, keep up the good work girl!
I don't really have a problem with anything she mentioned. I don't really even care tbh. But, you sound very immature and closed minded. "We don't want to smell like burned candy..." who made you queen of what people wanna smell like? You do you right? You have it backwards, respect means exactly that. Respecting people's taste. If they wanna smell like candy they can and if they like it, good. Most of these followers come to her for recommendations, not to hear probably their favorite reviewer tell them they have to like what she likes or they smell cheap and they're a child. That's ignorant and disrespectful, no need to hide this behind the "too sensitive" excuse. With great power comes great responsibility and she owes it to her followers to be respectful of their taste. The best she can do is recommend what she likes and think is good. No real need to bash other people's favorites or what not. Most of the people supporting this behavior from Demi, either don't feel targeted so "if it's not me it's ok she disrespected other people!" Or just plain and simple don't understand the concept of respect. Let's stop being Hypocrites.
@@twoowl Sometimes we hear things that we don’t want to. That’s life. And to me there was nothing disrespectful about this video. So your concept of “respect” isn’t the end all, be all.
Demi you were the 1st to introduce me to the niche world. I used to think stop with all these expensive perfume videos. Once I started to get my nose on niche quality. .. I GET IT! Lol
Hi there. I get it and would never be offended by anyone's opinion on perfume. However, I feel bad for the young or sensitive ladies that may have been hurt by your choice of words. Remember you're now an influencer and your words have impact and power. I'm a Cancerian and we( being sensitive spirits) usually always consider others and their feelings. I truly enjoy watching your videos - just saying. Wishing you all the best!💞
True! Especially the ones she mention mostly tacky are the affordable ones, and endorsing mostly luxurious fragrances. it makes some women think their tacky just because they cant afford luxurious fragrances and commenters mostly praising youtubers flashing niche fragrances as great taste and classy! So those cant afford appears to be no taste and no class? That might not be the video’s purpose but thats how it appears. Just saying. I still respect her opinion of the fragrances, its just not for everyone, financially speaking😕
Nothing cheap about Bright Crystal, such a sexy fragrance, a lot better than a lot of the 300$ niche perfumes on the market. People consider Br 540 a great fragrance when it smells like you are in a hospital room.
100% agree! 👏 All of those are extremely tacky (including One million! 🙈) LOL so cringey to admit I used to wear Juicy Couture back in the day - I wish someone would have stopped me 😂
Every one can’t afford those expensive perfumes you can afford it buy now. Also, these are the same perfumes that you recommended when you were trying to increase your viewer numbers. So now that you have gotten us to spend our hard earned dollars to buy these perfumes based on your recommendations, you have nerve to say we smell Tacky!!! Really Demi, that’s how you show your appreciation/loyalty!
Oh no! I now feel personally attacked by this! you have just called my 4-5 year old daughter brand tacky… she loves her red velvet and blue berry by pink sugar by the way 🤷🏻♀️now I’ll never go on living life the same thinking of your true thoughts 💀🤣JK. My mom hates some of my favorite perfumes and I’m sure some have smell my sillage from miles away hating it and although I appreciate my moms taste and opinions.. I have to remember who I bought it for and enjoy what I enjoy regardless of anyone liking it or not. I found this video entertaining, it’s interesting to hear other peoples opinion and don’t mind it one bit so thank you 😊 💖
I’ll take Black Opium any day over Baccarat Rouge 540. For all of the you tubers that love BR 540 I will say I think it is a rip off that barely has any scent and certainly doesn’t last on the skin. At least Black Opium has a sillage and lasts on the skin.
#RIPGourmandFragrances I've found with my body chemistry the super sweet, sugary scents smell better on me. When I wear unisex or more alcoholish, "clean" scents I just end up smelling like wine lol! I respect and appreciate this list though, not against learning and trying new things.
I love Black Opium but on me it has zero longevity and nobody can smell it. It just dissapears on my skin which is a shame. The funny thing is I own plenty designer perfumes but the one that gets the most compliments (and that everyone considers my scent) is Zara Rose Gold 😂😂
I couldn’t agree more with Black Opium!! I wore it a lot during my “clubbing” days and that’s all I associate it with. I’ve tried wearing it for date nights but it just annoys me so much. Thankfully I was only gifted the 30 ml and it’s almost empty now. Wouldn’t repurchase or recommend it. I also wore Good Girl By Carolina Herrera and got wasted so many times wearing it but it doesn’t annoy me like Opium does.
I really want to learn what tacky means in a more technical way, but I guess you have an opportunity area that is to broad your vocabulary to explain "tacky" better and beyond the word "sweet".
@@adrianavargova Oh shut up. A lot of niche fragrances, while more complex, may not smell very good. The simple nature of a fragrance, is to smell good. That's the core..so if something smells good, who cares. It comes off as classist and pretentious.
@@adrianavargova I'm assuming that you do not have a synonym for the word tacky. I don't expect much from people like you though..a person who judges an entire individual off of their perfume. There are people that do not obsess over fragrance or the complex nature of scents. They just want to smell good and I'm afraid that people like you, are ruining something so simple. I know for a fact that it makes you feel better about yourself which is why I replied to you. I want to make sure you notice how ridiculous you are. That usually happens when someone doesn't have a lot to feel proud of so they gather around a certain small thing in life so they can feel better about themselves. That's so tacky. :)
Our noses change over time. Until about a year ago I was a Victoria's secret kinda gal. I had other perfumes that were gifted and affordable perfumes I'd buy at retail stores and bbw mist and lotions. But now I don't reach for any of them because I can't no longer tolerate it since I've tried better designer and niche perfumes. Fragrance is personal let's all enjoy and wear whatever the heck we want 😉
I do wish the Juicy Couture lasted longer. I own 3...Gold is my favourite. I’m not offended that this may come across as tacky. Every nose is different. It’s what make our fragrance world go round ❤️😉. Thank you for this video. Always love watching ❤️😀🇨🇦~Kim
Same I like Juicy Gold and don’t mind if others don’t. The funny thing is- I get so many compliments when I wear it and I live in an upper middle class environment. When I wear niche I don’t get the same reactions. I think if Juicy was made by say, Parfums De Marly, people would be all over it 🤷🏻♀️
Sunflower I agree with you there. So far I’m 0-2 for niche. I can’t afford niche often but both I tried...both were a no-go. And I’m ok with that for sure. I’m still looking for THE BEST vanilla 😉🇨🇦
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 this was hilarious! What I love and appreciate about these videos is how you can really see how someone's taste changes over the years! I'm here for it ❣️ I have the same thought about a lot of perfumes but when someone passes by wearing it I swoon 😂 I think some just smell tacky on me 🤦🏾♀️
I actually like juicy couture fragrances💜 Some do smell incredibly similar but some like the original viva la Juicy and noir are rich and yummy in my opinion, the amber and berries and caramel smell intoxicating to me anyways lol I haven’t smelled nearly as many as you so I can understand you have a lot to compare them to, but I was surprised you mentioned my juicy lol 😂 I know some say they don’t want to smell like teenagers but excuse my French dammit I still do lol 😂 💜💜💜 always a kid at heart and wanna smell yummy and was just considering buying pink sugar at Macy’s today cuz it’s on sale for 22 bucks with a pink sugar lip gloss. I guess I’ll be twice the tacky LOL
I love Pink Sugar, Juicy Couture Gold Couture and Nina Ricci Nina and wear those happily in my 30's :D Luca Turin describes Nina as "rainbow sherbet" and "a real achievement in this mostly careless genre" and I totally agree. Then again I also love perfumes from Frederic Malle, Diptyque, Maison Francis Kurkdjian etc. I've been smelling different niche fragrances for over 10 years and still love me some cheap and tacky! :D
I think fragrances are so tied to our memories, that it can make you feel that way about a perfume that you were wearing, back when you were making "questionable decisions " or just a bad time in your life. And Brittany Spears Fantasy, I have never understood. It has always smelled terrible to me. It is crazy how different everyone's noses are. Love this video and don't think anyone should be offended. It is just opinions, which all perfume reviews are. Love you💜
lmao I think all the fragrances you mention are the most "overrated" ones, they don't smell bad, they are just very generic & most "girls" smell like the perfumes you mention. I don't think "tacky" is the best word to describe them (but I get your point lol)
I swear trashy girls tend to wear these fragrances. Nothing to do with promiscuity or social class, just synthetic and tacky as Demi describes it. To me everyone seems to wear Chanel Madamoiselle / Chance or Jo Malone Peony Blush and they don't smell tacky although they are generic and overrated.
@@mariagabbott “Nothing to do with social class” and then you mention all the girls who wear these perfumes are tacky lol okay sis, wearing coco mademoiselle or any other designer fragrance doesn’t instantly make you the most sophisticated woman in the world either so chill, if you feel like a sophisticated high class lady while wearing maison francis kurkdjian then good for you. they’re just different kind of scents, the ones that demi mentioned are mostly sweet perfumes with very similar notes and they’re appealing to the masses that’s why they’re generic & overrated, that’s all.
I like some controversial content here and there. Diversity is good and you don't have to be a people pleaser with your content. Keep up being an inspiration!
Black opium has a sexiness that grows on you! It is addictive..probably most worn but definitely not cheap smelling or tacky!!Discarding a perfume js because it is most worn doesn’t make sense!!
What a great relief to say I don't own any of the mentioned perfumes and really pleased to see we share the same view on these fragrances. I sniffed them all and you just gave words to everything I felt about these perfumes. Cheers.
Nothing wrong with being vocal about your opinion. It's your channel and if people want factual information they can go on Fragrantica. If people are secure in themselves they won't get offended by someone else's thoughts. If you think these scents are tacky, then so will many people who are smelling them in public. I'm guilty of blind buying perfumes sometimes, I will probably avoid these perfumes because i like many of the same scents you think are good.
I though you had Poison Girl in the thumbnail and I was gonna cry. Lol. That’s and Mon Guerlain are the closest thing to a signature scent I have. The only one I own on this list is Pink Sugar, and to me, it’s super comforting. I really only wear it when I don’t feel well, since to me, it’s a warm blanket fragrance.
Juicy Couture the original is a perfume that I will wear FOREVER! It has sentimental value for me. Now I will say they changed the formulation so it’s different now but I still Love it! ❤️
I don’t see why people in the comments are getting so offended by this video.. you are totally right that synthetic, overly sweet scents tend to smell tacky and overdone- not fitting for grown women! The point of this video is not to shame people for wearing black opium lol. It’s to have a productive conversation about fragrances and to distinguish refined, elegant scents from everyday sugary ones! Your video is 100% on point, please keep making videos like this because you have great taste my dear
Perfumes are SO SUBJECTIVE! I have Versace and YSL opium I love. Bright Crystal by Versace to me smells so light and fresh! YSL I LOVE! However, I do understand it is a bit overdone and can smell familiar. Funny how she mentioned Cloud by Ariana because I absolutely HATE that scent!. To me it smells so synthetic... the worst scent ever smelt in my opinion.
Man...my 13 yr old daughter is an anomaly that hates fruity scents. She loves Ariana Cloud, All Saints Flora Mortis layered with her BBW pumpkin chai lotion, and Sauvage. My kiddos taste is definitely mature and modest, but so are her fashion choices...she’s obsessed with Banana republic and All Saints for crying out loud. The only things remotely “fun” or free-spirited she wears are her collection of Betsy Johnson earrings and her eccentric hair colors. I love that she doesn’t follow the herd. This tacky list is spot on though!
I bought my first real parfume as a 20 year old, on the taxfree on my way to London. Bright Crystal. It is very sentimental smell to me. I always bought a new big bottle on my way to London or Poland, so it really smells like fun and traveling and vacation. It also smell a lot like crazy nights on nightclubs😅 And it smells great memory with great friends. I stopped wearing it when I was 32 years old couse I felt too old for it. Now I am 37 and I miss it so much (And all the fun young years), so it is now on the way in the mail to me. I hope I still can pull it off during spring and summer as a daytime parfume, couse it is so fresh. I think I will wear it again until Im 40. I have 3 more years left as kind of young. My new favorites is Diore Pure Poison at daytime, and Armani Si, I feel they fit my age more. But I dont feel Bright Crystal is tacky in any way. Its the smell of happy memories and living the best life🥰
Demi you have balls. I was scared for you when you started talking about Paco Rabane. I thought you were going to say Olympia! 🤣 which I can’t stand but if you mentioned that there would be a price on your head. 😂 Keep it coming girl 😅
Hey Demi, please do a fragrances that left their mark on me video!! ~ you’ve loved for over a year! I think these scents really changed your life: La Nuit Tresor Delina Oud Bouquet Santal Complet Sunshine Coco Noir Gris Dior Rouge Malachite
I agree w juicy couture and bright crystal. All juicy coutures smells cheap, and bright crystal I don’t hate but I’m not a big fan and wouldn’t purchase it for myself. Bright crystal smells cheap, and a bit like a cleaner. I do like how it doesn’t make me feel sick tho. Bright crystal for me is like a perfume that I wud spray on a day where I’m running late and headin to the beach or smt.
I can see where you're coming from with most of these, but as I tested Britney's Rocker Femme Fantasy and Reb'l Fleur Love Always plus Pink Sugar and Katy Perry's Meow side by side, I got to say Britney is actually the best of them, not the worst. Just my opinion.
Britney Spears Private Show Is Actually pretty good lol... Fatale intense is basically a affordable dupe for angel. There's good and bad is every line I don't care for the dry down of fantasy but I wouldn't put down her entire range of fragrances.
I love you for showing love to Fatale Intense. I am so obsessed with it I want to DROWN in it, and I can actually afford it. You have steered me towards a lot of gems and I thank you!
I have decluttered Britney Spears Fantasy and Paco Rabanne Black Xs long time ago. Ysl Black Opium and Aquolina Pink Sugar are still in my collection even though I stopped wearing it for months so I agree with this. There is a lot better perfumes to wear in my opinion
I can see why someone who isn’t a huge fan of gourmands would hate all of the perfumes on this list. I love love sweet and bold perfumes so I love all of these 😂 I have most of the ones on this list, and love them. Honestly this list gave me some great ideas.
My fourteen year old niece won’t wear any of the fragrances you’ve mentioned! She’s got a pretty mature nose. Her faves are Amarige, Parfait de Roses and Alien. She’s definitely related to me.

Honestly, I wear fragrances whether they smell tacky, or expensive. I wear Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy because, it's smells like my favourite shampoo when I was little and it's linked to great memories. There is no shame in that.
Wear whatever you like!!!
Yeah an analogy i love is fragrances are like food some people love pizza and some people hate it
So true.
Your Tacky perfumes list = Jermey's favorite sexy perfumes list for women
All men like women who smell tacky 😂
😂😂😂😂
@@therozyland2298 🤣🤣🤣🤣
could just be me , but Ive noticed that Jeremy's sexy fragrances for women are mostly sweet perfumes, and it seems like Demi prefers floral over sweet? Maybe its a mental association too idk. it is the same for me, sugary/sweet perfumes do smell tacky (although some smell good when paired with florals/greens etc) but I understand men's appeal for sweet scents on women
I hate Jeremy’s taste
I have always found it so fascinating how subjective fragrance is! Most of the perfumes that are usually labeled as “cheap” actually appeal to me more because that typically means they are lighter, fresher, or sweeter. The “classy” perfumes that are often recommended smell too mature and heavy like I’m going to choke someone out no matter how little I put on. Definitely not practical for my everyday lifestyle. Just goes to show how different everyone’s noses are!
This makes so much sense to me
This!!
Excellent comment!.
Curious to know what ones you like! The description of lighter, sweeter and fresher is really my jam! Feel like we have the same taste!
Bright Crystal smells amazing and definitely not cheap! It is a very refined smell.
Moms fav scent
And it doesn't similar to anything else
Maybe her nose is…
Now do the opposite, make a list of perfumes that say ”Class” :D
I hope the list will be on the cheaper side so not so rich people can smell “classy” too 👌😊
@@annikal2782 I’ve found that the best classy scents that don’t necessarily cost an arm and a leg are the rarer single notes that you can blend together on your own. For example, I think good-quality sandalwood and amber smell amazing on their own, but even better when mixed together. Both are respected notes in perfumery, and are pretty fail-proof. They aren’t cheap, but not so out of reach, either. 😊
I don’t ever own these perfumes .. 🤣 but my gf says my perfume smell like old lady 😿 I like fragrances like J’adore EDT in Joy, Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber, Replica Beach Walk, Lazy Sunday, Flower Market ( I love replica by Maison Margiela perfumes)
could it be that they smell tacky on your skin? Black Opium is my most complimented perfume. expensive doesn't mean it isn't tacky!
As a guy, in his 40's, I like the scent of black opium
I appreciate Demi’s reviews and I have bought perfumes based on her recommendation, but at the end of the day perfumes are a personal choice and we should all wear what we like most 🤗
It smells very..very mature..it's also very common so i guess that's why she's not into it.
I love Black Opium and don’t find anything about it tacky, but that’s my opinion.
Fragrance is subjective so your opinion is just as relevant as mine 😉
Demi Rawling absolutely!
She’s talking about her own personal experiences with it I think 😂😂😉😉
This video is straight up targeted to Jeremy Fragrance lol
Hahahaha yessss!! Finally someone said it
I can't 🙈🙈🙈🙈
☕️🐸
No I don't think so. Demi is just giving her opinion. Jeremy has his own likes/dislikes and opinions on perfumes. She has a own. I get where she is coming from. She has good taste in perfumes. Further everyone has their own opinion on perfumes and whether it is worth buying it or not.
@@ann5082 She doesn't have "good taste", she have her own taste. There´s no such thing a good and a bad taste
@Aleksandra Ananović I know, in my comment I said I understand its her opinion but this is just my opinion.
@Aleksandra Ananović and to answer you question she did not mention my favortie perfume, I just think differently. I don't want people who wear these or are their favorites to feel as though their taste is tacky. Plain and simple 😊
She just want to help u smell better in future.. and it’s just her opinion.. at the end, she apologize though..🤞 hope u can think in positive way🙏
@@dante2595 this is no hate to her what so ever!
This just sounds like she took Jeremy Fragrance’s list for cheaper perfumes and turned it into her tacky list.
XxBREWxX i mean jeremy’s taste in fragrance IS kinda tacky... im with Demi on this one.
Gahahaha i think the same :D
😂
He list sucks and it’s always the same sweet perfumes in every video lol
I thought the exact same thing! I see most of Jeremy's content on IG, and he's been reviewing / discussing Britney Spears and Pink Sugar in the last few weeks.
I totally desagree, for me Bright Cristals doesn't smell cheap at all.it's a wonderful delicate floral fragrance, my favorite from Versace 🤷♀️
Exactly! One of my favorite florals. I don’t WANT it to smell like the hordes of generic rose fragrances
It’s a nice scent IMO, but it reminds me of some basic VS body spray vibe
I loveeeee Bright crystal . Idc what anyone thinks lol
It’s my favt too
Bright crystal and viva la juicy are my most complimented smells especially by men!!!I truly think it depends how it mixes with someone’s natural smell- that’s why it’s different for everyone- the person wearing it or the person smelling it.
Would love to see your most classy smelling fragrances for female since you’ve already made the male version!

Lol I like almost all of these fragrances 😂🤣 but I just like things that smell good, I don't always try to smell classy
I dig pink sugar for layering! Since it just smells like sugar and is so simple, it just makes any fragrance put on top of it a bit sweeter. Definitely still has a place in my collection for that reason!
Do you have some recommendations which perfumes I can layer it with?

I like these kind of videos even if it's "controversial." You mentioned a number of "good" affordable fragrances at the end but it would be fun to see a whole video from you with your favorite inexpensive fragrances. Have a fabulous day, lovely!!! ❤️❤️❤️
You say that there are better perfumes than those, that are less expensive, can you make a video where you give an alternative for each perfume stated?

A cheap alternative to each fragrance would have been helpful
Most of the fragrances she mentioned are already inexpensive with the exception of Black Opium.
Black opium alternative is Zara - Gardenia perfume
Sofia vergara - love is similar to black opium
AGREED
That’s so true. I was all about the basic mainstream scents, but then I started buying niche samples 😬🙃 bad for my wallet.
I agree now after spending too much on many many cheapies
Guys, each nose is unique. So there is no bad or good perfumes. There is perfumes that YOU LIKE😃
It's like with a men.
So I’d say I’m with you about 95% 😂💖
Private Show is delicious.
I loathe Private Show it smells cheap on me real bad I guess its my chemistry
Apparently the first Shawn mendes perfume is very similar to it . I was looking for it but they only had the second release which doesn’t . But they DID have private show .. 1oz for $10 I snatched up two

So does my 14yr old.

Gotta get a thicker skin. The world can’t cater to your sensitivity.
Nothing cheap about Bright Crystal, such a sexy fragrance, a lot better than a lot of the 300$ niche perfumes on the market. People consider Br 540 a great fragrance when it smells like you are in a hospital room.
True
I agree. Candy floss and latex gloves.
100% agree! 👏 All of those are extremely tacky (including One million! 🙈)
LOL so cringey to admit I used to wear Juicy Couture back in the day - I wish someone would have stopped me 😂
Every one can’t afford those expensive perfumes you can afford it buy now. Also, these are the same perfumes that you recommended when you were trying to increase your viewer numbers. So now that you have gotten us to spend our hard earned dollars to buy these perfumes based on your recommendations, you have nerve to say we smell Tacky!!! Really Demi, that’s how you show your appreciation/loyalty!
wow wow wow what's happening here, was she being hypocrite of something?🤔 Just passing by this video btw

You have no idea how much I want to thank you for this video because I just don’t get the hype about black opium
I’ll take Black Opium any day over Baccarat Rouge 540. For all of the you tubers that love BR 540 I will say I think it is a rip off that barely has any scent and certainly doesn’t last on the skin. At least Black Opium has a sillage and lasts on the skin.
Maybe you got the fake one? Because the sillage is beast to me
#RIPGourmandFragrances I've found with my body chemistry the super sweet, sugary scents smell better on me. When I wear unisex or more alcoholish, "clean" scents I just end up smelling like wine lol!

Cheap. Try hard. Pretentious.
Actually you will recognize it later yourself. Once you sniff expensive, niche fragrances, you will know the difference.

I know for a fact that it makes you feel better about yourself which is why I replied to you. I want to make sure you notice how ridiculous you are.
I bought my wife black Opium and Versace Yellow Diamond, to me they both smell good but there's worst scents.
Alot if women love BO including me. Hence why it's still a top seller and the price won't drop, lol
Hello Demi, please do a video where you share the fragrances you left back in Perth and are missing like Gris Dior, Oud Bouquet, Mon Guerlain etc!!

Doesn't stop me from wearing Pink Sugar ❤
Please make a top 5 designer fragrances and top 5 niche fragrances for life!!!
I love that this list is literally every popular feminine perfume u could find at any fragrance counter 😂
Black Opium, Pink Sugar, Beyoncé Heat and La Vie Est Belle all smell sooo soooooooooo tacky to me.
Sames!
I still buy Brittany Spears. 😂😣
I still buy Paris Hilton lol
have u smelled miami fantasy?
Pop Mary oh wow! What a compliment 🙏🏾 thank you 💕
I bought my first real parfume as a 20 year old, on the taxfree on my way to London.
I love to see your top smelling classy fragrances!!
Hey Demi, please do a fragrances that left their mark on me video!! ~ you’ve loved for over a year!
I think these scents really changed your life:
La Nuit Tresor
Delina
Oud Bouquet
Santal Complet
Sunshine
Coco Noir
Gris Dior
Rouge Malachite
Wow!! You have all of my ride or die perfumes 😍🥰
I own pink sugar and I agree ! It can make me sick if I spray to much. I don’t really reach for it much anymore bc of that
If you dont want to smell tacky, dont wear what Jeremy says is good 😂😂
Lmfaooo true
@@meganpearl914 So true!!
I got the most complimented when I wear Bright Crystal though it wasn't my favourite. Thank goodness , I gave it to a friend of mine
I had a Britney Spears Fantasy when I was younger. Not the fragrance, just the fantasy. 😂 A couple of them actually.
Britney Spears Private Show Is Actually pretty good lol... Fatale intense is basically a affordable dupe for angel. There's good and bad is every line I don't care for the dry down of fantasy but I wouldn't put down her entire range of fragrances.
Helloo! Have you smelt Angels Share yet??
I love you for showing love to Fatale Intense. I am so obsessed with it I want to DROWN in it, and I can actually afford it. You have steered me towards a lot of gems and I thank you!
I have decluttered Britney Spears Fantasy and Paco Rabanne Black Xs long time ago. Ysl Black Opium and Aquolina Pink Sugar are still in my collection even though I stopped wearing it for months so I agree with this. There is a lot better perfumes to wear in my opinion
Sky blue try layering those 2 together it's soo good.
Thank you Demi you just reminded me to buy Black XS. 😂😂🤣❤️Hey, I like what I like!🥰
I like this type of videos....i get bored of perfume channels praising every perfume. I really like this direct and fresh take on perfume 👌😁.
Im young asf and i hate hate hate hate hate viva la juicy and *super* sweet fragrances as well 😂 gives me headaches
Bright Crystal is one of my favorite for the high heat, it works nice for some people but for others it smells very light and like a splash but for me it works amazing ...
