tiffany! i know you're a diehard xacto knife lover, but you should try out a box cutter for when you're cutting straight lines against a ruler! i used to be a big xacto fan too, but now i don't even touch it unless i'm doing detail work; totally changed the game for me and highly recommend! they don't break as often as xacto blades do too bc they're so much sturdier!!

A suggestion btw for the printing process! I saw that when you do your second pull, you angle the squeegee away from you, highly highly recommend doing the same angle as the first pull bc doing it flipped has rly uneven pressure!
came to say this!!! it also clogs the screen a lot more. u always pull the same way!
Sry another suggestion for a design like the one u have here is to do the layer with the drop shadow first! Like the photo-positive is everything that's not white (so including the lighter drop shadow areas as well) and you print the first layer with the drop shadow color. And then you can use the dark red screen filler to cover up the drop shadow area as reduction and print using the color of the other areas (the darker pink layer, gradients etc). That way, you only need one photo positive and also there won't be the white spaces of the drop shadows not aligning correctly! I hope that made sense skdjf

With the jelly you could keep the packaging, clean it out and use resin or something and try recreating the look of it and keep it on you desk as decor, or turn it into a pencil holder by hollowing out the resin or whatever would be good for it

Is there a reason why you hold the squeegee on the sides rather than on top? I’ve always held mine on top so I’m super curious why you hold it from the sides? Love this print!💖🌸
Ahh I just personally find it easier to push, especially since when I hold it on the top I find that the sides and edges don’t get enough pressure :,)
@@TiffanyWeng thanks for your reply! I feel like with larger prints like you made in this video that totally makes sense! I recently made a print and used an 18” squeegee which required 4 passes to print vividly. Next time I print large I’m gonna try your technique!💖

God they don’t teach ye the easy way first do they? If you use acetate or clear solid plastic sheet it makes it easier to register x
