[Birthday Cover] Heartbreak Mermaid [Crochet DV and Meiko V3 Power]

Jan jan!! Jan ja-ja ja-ja!!
I'm so happy with how this cover turned out!! I love how Meiko and Crochet sound together. The video is a little less elaborate than what I'd planned in my head but certain parts (the background) took way longer than I'd anticipated (I'm sure there was an easier way to do what I did...oh well) and I wanted to make sure I could actually finish the project haha. I still think it looks really nice!
Heartbreak Mermaid is one of my favorite Y0 songs (behind Queen of Passion and Rouge of Love, the latter of which I've already covered) so I think it fits really well as a birthday cover. I'm not sure why I added that info section at the end - it just felt like a fun thing to add.
I've been rotating the idea of recording a new voicebank for Crochet in my head lately. Crochet DV was released almost five years ago!! However, I just haven't had the time or energy to record anything, and tbh I use UTAU so rarely these days that if I did record another voicebank I don't know how much I'd even use it. (Most of my covers are English, too, and I don't know if I have it in me to fiddle with UTAU English when SynthV is right there...) I guess I could potentially record a new DeepVocal voicebank (assuming the person I commissioned to set up Crochet DV is still doing that sort of thing. IDK if I could figure it out on my own haha). I don't know if it was the tuning or just pairing her with Meiko, but Crochet DV's choppiness had some charm in this cover that I really liked. I could swear she even had some vocal fry I definitely never recorded lmao
