The death damage only goes on the enemy who is marked. To apply the mark onto a character you need to do a single target attack (can be lancelot's single target or any single target of specific allies, those being fairies, humans and 4koa characters). Then aoe and the death damage will go to that marked enemy. You can only mark 1 enemy at a time.
