Although there are two main rappers in the group, their songs have little to no raps. The members are all rounders and all of them can dance and sing, especially Hanni , Danielle and Hyein. The rappers you talked about is Minji and Hyein, but like I said, they don’t have much rap in the songs. there are no main rappers as no one has any official positions... theres a couple of 'dodgy' guides that give them positons but they seem fan made and the fans giving them positions they would want.... but officially theres no main rapper, no main dancer, no main singer.. they are all seen as 'mains' so no official positions. When they do the adlib type raps (best as i can explain as they dont really do full on raps) all members have done them.... haerin and minji on bubblegum, hyein on this track, dani and hanni on how sweet... theres more but those are the ones of the top of my head
This is Mainstream UK Garage... a softer version of 'Clubland' UK garage of the mid 90s that was generally a lot harder with fast MCs and Rappers and harder riffs... late 90s it was made popular with the 'mainstream' UK Pop charts by the likes of shanks and bigfoot, Artful Dodger, Craig David and many others who replaced the fast rapping with RnB/Soulful vocals and the harder riffs with softer melodies but retaining the essence of it which was the super fast snare and drum patterns with the deep bass. This song along with 'new jeans'(they have a self titled song yes) would not sound out of place on the artful dodger album :)
Ok so for the story the clue is in the 'painting' which tells the story of 'Cupid' and his forbidden love with a human 'Psyche'.. gender roles are reversed as Hoyeon is 'Cupid' who falls for the human who represents Psyche.... She gives up her divinity and becomes human in order to be with him (represented by her taking off her clothes in the rain) Newjeans represent the '9 muses' who follow cupid around with song and dance but do not interfere..... its likely they reported her actions to her father Tony Leung portraying 'Aphrodite' who punishes her by reverting her back to 'cupid' and erases the guys memory of her while making him also fall for someone else. In this greek mythology tale the ending shows cupid going back to newjeans with a look of anger and contempt at them before reluctantly resuming her role as 'cupid' yet again. She also looked nervous earlier when she saw them just before she became human.. like she knew that because they were watching there would be repurcussions but she went ahead with it anyway.
