Tour this adorable little squaredrop camper, made by Runaway Campers. This is a 6' x 8' composite model, built in Ocala, FL. They also make a 4' x 8' model, called a Cool Camp, and a stand up model, called a Rouser.

I have done many videos about Runaway campers - I have over 2 million views of my Runaway videos. I have to disagree with one statement in the video. You said that the earlier wood & aluminum Runways had trouble with leaking and rotting wood. That was fairly uncommon and not Runaways fault.
Owners would buy a Runaway and simply not do standard RV maintenance. All they had to do was routinely check the seams and the caulk, and if needed, replace the caulk along the seams. One tube of quality proper caulk would do a whole Runaway easily. It is very simple to do - I owned a 2016 4x8 Runaway and it was super simple to peel away the caulk seams and then run a new bead along the seams and smooth it in. We also owned the very first pvc/fiberglass composite model RangeRunner.
Folks who did not check their Runaways "could" get a leak and then have issues. It is unfair to make a blanket statement that suggested that the older models all had problems. I am confident you did not say that maliciously with mean intent. That rumor persists and the owners with that problem insist that they did nothing wrong - when in fact, they did nothing with maintenance and easily could have avoided a simple issue that any RV can have - even a $500,000 Class A. Also, Runaway is based in Summerfield, not Ocala. Nice video though.

    • @CampingTherapy

Thanks Charles. No, I didn't mean it as a blanket statement for all of them, just that I had seen several on FB groups with leaks. I will pin your comment, in hopes that folks will read it, and get the true story of what happened. Thanks for watching. I had thought that they were built in Ocala. Is it near Ocala? Maybe folks just said that town because it was more well known, and close to it?

These campers are a good deal for those of us with a smaller car. The one thing I would like to see is the back door opening up rather than to the side. If opening up, you could attach a 3-sided panel or just a tarp to make a shower area. Also, for hot, sunny areas a rain-fly or again, a lightweight tarp would work to keep the heat out.
I like these - thinking about long-term living with an adjacent tent. ❤️🐈‍⬛😎
