You did amazing. Sherwood Green is one of my favorite inks. Glass pens sometimes have a sweet spot. You didn't do anything wrong. These first inks won't be your last. 😂 Welcome to the rabbit hole.

WOW! You did an awesome job on your video. Your selection of inks go together nicely too. If I may help with the Japanese..."kitsune" (means "fox") sounds like kee-tsu-nay. The Hobonichi "Hon" ("hon" means book) is like the first syllable in Honolulu (minus the olulu 😅), so hoe + the "un" sound....hoe-un. And "Kakimori" would sound like kah-kee-mo-ri. So the "ki" is kee, rather than kay. I hope that helps. But regardless, I loved your video, with your pretty inks and your swatching format. Thank you so much for sharing your collection! When you do look back on this video someday, you ought to give yourself a big pat on the back. BRAVO! 👏🏻

I’m filming a new ink swatch one today and going to try not to get too nervous 😬 It really is therapeutic. Teranishi Chemical Indystry inks are a new obsession! I have several more colors coming and will do a video on them too 😊

I was wondering why it feathered …thank you for the info. Is there notebooks with the original TR I can still get? I also just ordered a bunch of Teranishi samples and they are coming so I’ll be swatching those too when they arrive. I got a full bottle of Night Time Soda with the samples cause that one looks like a perfect blue from all the swatches I’ve seen and I love the bottles/boxes …they are the one ink I like to display on my desk.

Oh this is so exciting! I also fell in love with that cover, so I had to pick up the regular notebook. The plan was to use it as a commonplace book, but I actually haven’t done anything with it yet. I’m trying some different things with swatching right now, so who knows. I may incorporate my favorites with other, more “regular” commonplace stuff. We’ll see! ETA: You did such a *wonderful* job. 👌🏼 Love the commentary on the properties of the different inks. I have the exact same glass pen, and you seem to have surpassed the learning curve I have every time I pick it up. 😂

I have Nostalgic Honey on my ink wishlist. I've got a pretty sizable ink collection but I'm obsessed with those yellowed-brown shades. I actually have an ink haul on the way now, I bought 5 bottles from Jetpens 😅, but they were so pretty I couldn't pass it up.
Nostalgic Honey has been a favorite. I’m really into the yellow browns too AND olive greens. I’m loving too many and I’m trying to not buy full bottles unless I do a sample first …it’s so hard! 😅
I'm also trying to decide on my go-to black ink. My current favorite is TWSBI Black, but I'd like to try De Atramentis and Platinum Carbon Black before I make my decision as I've heard good things about each of those.
I have to try Twisbi black myself too! I just think I want to avoid pigment ones and stick to dye based only after I researched both. Also Octopus Elephant Black I heard was good too! I need to do a full black ink haul with samples and swatch them all out and compare.
Opera Rose is my favorite lately too …it really is gorgeous. I have it in my Kaweco x Hello Kitty Sport and it’s really a nice ink. Thanks for watching!

Sherwood Green was my first fountain pen ink! It's a beautiful color and I still use it super often (the huge bottle lol)
It was my very first too! I think I’ll use it as well. I may not regret the big bottle after all 😂

Tip: put down some white out tape over the date before your washii tape. It keeps whatever you're covering from showing through.
