I recommend the Military over pro sports I did 22 years retired at 41 but I did participate in two wars and the war on drugs in South America. I guess danger is where you find it.
Rashard Mendenhall is a cautionary tale when looking at the state of the RB position. He was pretty solid for the Steelers from 2009-2011 before the ACL tear but after he got hurt it was a pretty much a wrap for his career. Once you get hurt at that position and they find someone to replace you it's real hard to get your spot back as the #1 guy.
RB the most replaceable position in the league. You don’t even need to get hurt. One year you’re mediocre, they’re already looking for someone to take your #1 spot.
I remember seeing a chart displayed on nfl countdown back in the late 2000s, as I was in my late teens, early 20s. The chart showed the trajectory of an NFL RB after 28 and the stats were mind blowing. I couldn’t wrap my head around how the drop off happened so immediately. Now at 36, I totally get it. I even believe now too, the emotional toll the game takes on you too. If you’re drafted at 21-22, 7-8 season at the running back position, pushing 28-29, your prime years have come and went. Wide receivers I’d venture to say peak in their late 20s, can carry on but most by 31-32, are on their way out. Makes me think back to how special somebody like TO was.
They should feel fortunate, and lucky asf to even get on the field for ONE game let alone play for 3-5 years Alot these muhfcas act like they got drafted to vietnam n chit lmfao
At RB it was only AP, but he still hit it around 32. And don’t forget that AP was 1 of a kind. Plus he had a year of recovery time to the season they suspended him for spanking his kid
Man Emmitt Smith played 18 seasons at RB. It all depends on how much you loved the game, the running style of RB, and certain injuries you sustained in your career.
Well said Sun, and I agree. And nothing wrong with being wrong, as long as we work to course correct and make it right and that speaks to your thoughtfulness as well as RM.
He made 15 million and won a superbowl ring. I'm not mad at him for his decisions he was kind of smart for real. He played the game and won no pun intended.
Black people want to be accepted by whites so bad, it causes 2nd hand embarrassment. "Take my money, white people, and let me sit next you in restaurants"
Nah, that's already been more than proven. The fact that it has to be re-iterated proves that blacks are in general undervalued, underestimated, and marginalized. The same reason that Whites will greet you in a corporate setting with urban slang.

Vlad talks out of his ass so much, ACL isn’t that bad compared to Achilles, and Kobe and Durant were Achilles not ACL. Then says he was traded to Arizona when he signed in free agency.
