Very clear instructions. I wouldn't be reluctant to repair mine if it need repair. Thanks!
Good info Bubba. I’m sure it will help some folks out👍🏻
After I replaced my element I could never get it to heat enough. After replaceing the switch, the pot and disassembling it numerous times, I finally gave up. I wish I had bought a new one from the get-go.
I just got my first pot and used it last night and man I love it .its just a 10 lb but man it beats a cooking pot and a spoon 😋
I seem to remember a similar vid a few years ago. Nothing lasts forever.
Edit- picture quality is looking great, yessir
Super cool Wade. Thanks for posting.
I've got a 10lb pot that I use almost every day. I also have a 220v 20lb pot that I've had since Christmas, but I haven't even put the plug on it yet. I was saving it for when the 10lb goes bad, but I think I'm going to go ahead and get it into service, now that I hear you say how much better the new pouring system is. That diagonal plug in the 10lb model makes it a pain to put in any kind of large ingots. It can drip pretty badly at times too, until you learn a few tricks to stop it. Thank you for showing how easy these are to repair. Did you save much over a new one after replacing the pot, valve and heating element? I know they have gotten really high and rare.
Well I just placed my order with Lee and all I payed was $2 and the ($35) shipping to Australia!!!
Great video as always!
good info thanks. mines been falling apart too
Dude you make that look easy!! But I am sure its probably a little tougher than it looks. Any way great info and thanks for doing this video I will be needing to make this same repair soon (Hoping I can get 1 more year out of it)
Thanks Wade
I wish I was able to be on patreon or something like that. Tough right now ! Hopefully things get back right and I’m in .
Needless to say viewers, the pot
WAS UNPLUGGED while he was servicing it. I'm sure there's someone somewhere that might not realize that.
Thanks for the great video
If you have to tell them that they probably shouldn't be working with molten metal to begin with.
Yeah, that's true as can be, but there's always someone somewhere that will do something wrong and not use their head when it requires the tiniest bit of common sense.
Hello great video. What are you making now in the video.
My pot is half full of lead when it broke. Lee sent parts under warranty . can I disassemble and replace the parts without removing the lead. Thanks for any help.
So i been watching and learning for about 2 weeks. I reload but never done any casting. Question. When you are done, do you use up the lead in the pot or fill a muffin pan with the molten lead or turn it off and let it cool with a full pot?
I leave em full 24/7 Matthew unless I want a different alloy or the pots need maintenance. Wade
Did you have to contact Lee in order to get this or is it on their website? My old pot leaks and is in awful shape.

Will ask how old was original??
Picked it up in 2012 I think 🤔
Mine broke first time I used it. Lee sent replacement parts. But it died half full of lead. Do I need to get out the lead before disassembly or can I do it with the pot half full. any help appreciated.
you should be able to remove the crucible part of the pot even with the lead in it.
Thanks
Not a face lift but an enhancement.
Step 1. Unplug it from the power.
