Turret, wheels and plates flying off, that's the exciting part. I also envy the smooth track animation, that one's good. P.S. in WT you can see shell holes on dead hulls of tanks, apfsds has casing fragments (which can also hit tanks) and when a fuel tank is hit, it will spill the burning fuel on and around the tank aaand hiting smoke grenade launchers detonates them, just remembered ;)
There are animations in War Thunder where the vehicle just disappears because of such a big explosion.... it looks ridiculous and funny, be sure to test it and see!
With high explosive rounds in WT they work completely differently than in WOT. With WOT you can overmatch armor and do damage or just flat out do damage from the explosion. It doesn’t matter if your round can only penetrate 3mm of armor if you hit any armor a third of the thickness of whatever round you’re shooting you’re going to penetrate. In WT you can penetrate using high explosive however you actually have to hit armor that the round can penetrate. If your round only penetrates 3mm you need to hit armor that’s 3mm or less in thickness. Also even if your round doesn’t penetrate you can still destroy an enemy vehicle by just damaging the hull too much. So for a lot of large high explosive rounds you’re looking at 10-30mm of penetrating. If you can’t penetrate 15mm of armor with a round that can only penetrate 10mm you can still destroy the vehicle by just damaging the hull too much. For example the hellcat getting hit by a kv2 high explosive round will just get absolutely destroyed no matter if you penetrate, don’t penetrate or even just hit close to them just because the explosive payload is so big. It’s a decently fair comparison and I’m sure most people agree WT effects are just better but it also doesn’t show WT effects at their best capacity. That’s probably because you were doing a comparison that inherently favored WOT just because it was penetration vs non penetration while WT has so many more possibilities for what a round can do. Like the effect of a ricochet is different than a non penetration, or a penetrating HE round is different than one that does damage to the hull, or causing an engine fire by shooting fuel and the engine is different than just the engine, and so many more.
That wasn't an ammo explosion, that was a amo cook off in WT. Also the ammo amount will effect the explosion so someone with a full ammo rack when hit will send the turret into the sky.
I am pretty sure test drive tanks don't have dynamic tracks like tanks in real battle do also apcr and apds have different marks as well as APFSDS and HEATFS have their uique marks. The fact that HEAT mark did not show up was just a glitch, kinda shame you did not shoot it 1 more time. There are also multiple ammorack animations in WT.
WT is the clear winner here the only thing WoT wins in is the tracks but WT wins everything else. Also the sound of the shell ejecting inside the tank and landing on the floor in WT is just a chefs kiss WoT should take notes
APCR in WT has its own penetration mark, it's a big dent with a small hole in the middle, which makes sense considering how the round works. Also I think your HEAT is bugged.
The main reason I play WoT is my color blindness, which makes it hard for me to see tanks from a distance in WT; I'm almost blind when tank is in forest. In WoT, they appear and are marked when they do, allowing me to play normally.
@@anomalycenter1197 Yes but even arcade mode has very faint markers, wot even has a special setting for color blindness that changes the colors of the markers to improve the clarity
at APCR in WT you should have shown allso how the non pen looked tho because they dont really do the same dmg as the APDS ones + APCR has a different hole when it penetrates in WT man
You hit a pretty bad spot with HEAT, That little railing is modeled into the armor profile, so it detected that you hit a thinner plate, so it basically Didn't fully model it, if you his on a spot, like the UFP it would show
Well War Thunder is more realistic. In real life, a tank commander won't start yapping when they don't go through. Through the fumes and loud noise, you also can't tell right away if you penetrate or not. That's why they say "Target hit!" - they're not wrong, the target was hit. Realistically, the commander would also say "Doubtful" if he thinks the enemy vehicle warrants another hit.

P.S. in WT you can see shell holes on dead hulls of tanks, apfsds has casing fragments (which can also hit tanks) and when a fuel tank is hit, it will spill the burning fuel on and around the tank aaand hiting smoke grenade launchers detonates them, just remembered ;)
the HEAT does have a penetration "decal" in War Thunder tho it was just glitched inside of the turret cheek for some reason
in wot there are also differences in the ammo racks.
light tanks, tank destroyer without turret and artillery have a spray funk effect like in 5:20.
realism = War Thunder, Fun = WoT, addiction = War Thunder
apcr and apds damage look very different. idk why you put them in the same category
Ammo rack was another variant which happens when I dont know... The tank will vanish though
There are animations in War Thunder where the vehicle just disappears because of such a big explosion.... it looks ridiculous and funny, be sure to test it and see!
2:08 Frontal Attack jumpscare
1:17 “we didnt even dent them!” Shows a huge dent
I'm pretty sure that heat has penetration mark. bro gave up so easily.
My question is how does this guy not have more subs
Okey man the tracks was cool.
Something id have liked to have seen is HESH.
Also, APDS and APCR have different damage effects in War Thunder.
5:04 i loved how the mg on top flies away
I doesn't fly away, it just disappears
"We didn't even dent them" Yes you did
3:15 the visual penetration of HEAT is currently broken
Wot has another ammorack explosion almost the same way as 5:20 but much longer and no explosion
That wasn't an ammo explosion, that was a amo cook off in WT. Also the ammo amount will effect the explosion so someone with a full ammo rack when hit will send the turret into the sky.
5:05 . am i dumb or did she say "Emeny vehicle destroyed"💀
u heard it correct💀
You should have used dynamic camera for the ammorack
In fact: in WT detonation ammo, can full destroy a tank(full destruction)
The only problem I have with wot is more than half the shells have the same non pen effect
WAR THUNDER WAY BETTER
Yeah, although I do wish warthunder had more camera shake (optional)
I wish the war thunder community asnt like you though. Toxic.
You can do that in the settings, you'll just get a massive disadvantage @@Rewind36383
APCR is one of the better shells in WoT, but in WT 😂 is a bllsht
I am pretty sure test drive tanks don't have dynamic tracks like tanks in real battle do also apcr and apds have different marks as well as APFSDS and HEATFS have their uique marks. The fact that HEAT mark did not show up was just a glitch, kinda shame you did not shoot it 1 more time. There are also multiple ammorack animations in WT.
WT is the clear winner here the only thing WoT wins in is the tracks but WT wins everything else.
Also the sound of the shell ejecting inside the tank and landing on the floor in WT is just a chefs kiss WoT should take notes
Tracks in WT more realistic
@@shtuller u may be right actually ur just dosent look as cool
APCR and APDS have different penetration decals in war thunder
Boosteroid's platform is a game-changer
5:25 In armored cars, the wheel is ripped off where it is shot
my god that HE pen mark in WoT looks so cursed
oosteroid has made gaming more enjoyable for me
Notice: Some ammo racks in WT deppend on how much ammo the tank you destroyed carried alot of ammo and hit his rack can make its hull go *poof*
I wish war thunder had that track rolling off effect
APCR in WT has its own penetration mark, it's a big dent with a small hole in the middle, which makes sense considering how the round works. Also I think your HEAT is bugged.
The main reason I play WoT is my color blindness, which makes it hard for me to see tanks from a distance in WT; I'm almost blind when tank is in forest. In WoT, they appear and are marked when they do, allowing me to play normally.
Yes, World of Tanks is definitely more accessible for people with impaired sight or hearing.
war thunder has an arcade gamemode where enemy tanks are marked when your crew spots them
@@anomalycenter1197 Yes but even arcade mode has very faint markers, wot even has a special setting for color blindness that changes the colors of the markers to improve the clarity
@@calebmenker988 you can change the marker's colors in war thunder to whatever color is suitable for you
HEAT decals is broken for many months in WT
Boosteroid's game library is impressive
Boosteroid is the best way to enjoy high-end gaming
been a while since wargaming actually updating anything with physics or graphics
Woa since when were WoT track models so fancy? Havnt played in years
at APCR in WT you should have shown allso how the non pen looked tho because they dont really do the same dmg as the APDS ones + APCR has a different hole when it penetrates in WT man
Sorry. Trying to get every variation of the effects would take a very long time
@@lo0fer13 riiight...... so you are lazy? if you do someting do it with quality not lazyness
You hit a pretty bad spot with HEAT, That little railing is modeled into the armor profile, so it detected that you hit a thinner plate, so it basically Didn't fully model it, if you his on a spot, like the UFP it would show
Ah~ So in WoT the shell hits are just a 2D image, while in WT you have a proper deformation/hole.
If World of Tanks and War Thunder are friend...the best tank game will be born
10/10 Graphics
10/10 Realistic
no
Wot: unrealistic suffering
WT: realistic suffering
Pick your poison
Here we can also see 2 completily diffrent voicelines:
WoT (Non-pen): "We hit them but we didn't penetrate their armor.."
WT: (Non-pen): "TARGET HIT!"
@@epiktacos491 You do have a point
@@epiktacos491 tbh a tank commander would probaly just start swearing and insulting ther own crew instead

3:12 sometimes it dose that try shooting a flat surface
i dont know why they removed heat marks all of a sudden on wt
nah, he like and sometimes ap are bugy now as to showing hit point, you can deffirintiate very good between different shell types usually, also between apcr and apds, apcr has a tiny hole or point usually with a larger circle around it that just eats paint, you just xompared wot apcr with war thunder apds which will and does look different, I have won some fights by tanking a apcr, looking at my armor to know what shell is been fired at me, for vehicles like PT76 or T92 apcr is the stock shell and if it does no explosion I look specificaly by these two. but it is really cursed at this point of time with this bug, when it looks like random pieces of armor have been chiped because something is wrong with the placement of the dmg on the armor
There are a lot more mechanics/variations in WT that are not shown in this video
I love both games and I think war thunder would be better if the fire was more orange instead of red
